Has anyone else seen a silly message from GSXv1 but latest where when pressing the usual K/b keys, a message in red flags up 'You need to stop the engines to request ground services', when in fact the engines are already stopped? Eh? And that was after an Update was available flashed up on the P3Dv4.3 screen. Grrr!

The problem I'm having may not be related to P3D, but as the Simulation is (I think)the common factor, I hope that I may find a solution from someone on this forum. As is apparent I'm sure, I am not computer savvy, therefore the problem may well be some place else on my pc. I bought P3D v 4 a few months ago and I'm very happy with the program..a big improvement from FSX. I have PMDG 737 NGX and Quality Wings 787 installed in P3D. When both of these aircraft appear on screen. a text message advising that,"Initialisation will take place", normally appears on screen . For some reason, a week or so ago, this message no longer appears on either the PMDG or Qualit…

Purchased the above this week and have just tried to have my first two flights. I am experiencing 'stutters' more frequently and for longer duration than I have ever before and I have had two CTDs which I have never experienced before. The only other change I have made to my system is that I have also installed ENVTEX today. Any thoughts?

Hi all, I have a Saitek Yoke (pro flight), the Yoke turns (left/right) up to 45 degrees on each side, (I think it's called "X" Axis). However, in P3D, the plane's yoke goes to the full 90 degrees when I am at the 45 degrees on my Yoke, which makes it very hard to control the airplane as they are out of SYNC (yoke limitation to go behind 45 degrees). My question is: is there a way to limit my airplanes in P3D (e.g. Twin-otter, PMDG, etc.) 'X Axis' that the max they will go is 45 degrees like my yoke? maybe some sort of calibration, dead zone, FSUIPC etc. not sure how. wanted to consult with you experts..

Title says it all.. looking for possible Graphics card upgrade for V4... I would like to not break the bank. The 1050 seems pretty good and not too expensive... Thoughts?

First Impression: As is, cannot recommend! FMC, MDF CAS ?? Flight Plan: unable to edit, keys do not work, only got one by loading into P3D. (add a point and you get duped) Ranges do not work, except from the VC joystick keypad. No Map 99% soft keys do not work No Checklists. Hello All - I hope I am in the proper place in the forum to ask this question. Even though I have been simming for the better part of 30 years, I never seriously learned about flight planning and have just recently acquired SimBrief and EFB - which are excellent add-ons. I am curious why on takeoffs my ground textures are rich and sharp, but upon approach and landing, especially in overcast weather, the ground textures become blurred? My P3D v4 settings? Thanks in advance.

I just installed it and I'm having this weird issue where the thrust reverses animation isn't doing what it should be doing - I have the thrust reverses fully deployed but as you see the engine cowling isn't opening like it should. hi guys, long time ago with FSX I used the addon FSXSAVE AUTOSAVE which saved the situation every x minutes. Is there an alternative for P3D except FSUIPC?

I have a GTX 1080 + i78700k and a 144hz monitor. I've set my FPS limiter to 36 using Frame Limiter V2 in Nvidia Inspector. My concern is that the FPS is constantly spiking right through 36, especially in conditions where performance is good. How can I get it to maintain a more stable FPS and not blow through the limit I've set? I'm measuring FPS using shift+z in P3D. Thanks,

Posting this hoping someone has come across a similar scenario and offer a solution. I use P3D 4.3, Radar Contact for ATC, and other addons. When in P3D, the RC voices volume is significantly reduced when they start playing. I can press 'Q' to suspend the P3D sound and the RC voices come up to normal volume, but the behavior reverses when I resume the P3D sounds. I have been using P3D for a while with RC and this has not been a problem until about two to three weeks ago. I'm aware of the Win10 Sound app and the setting in the Communications tab. After quite a series of CPAN/hardware issues, FSUIPC conflicts and operator head space I FINALLY have my Q400 up and flying. Over the past few weeks I have gone through the Airline2Sim Cadet training and am now flying a few flights a day between KSEA and CYVR. Going fairly well. I think I might be on my way up the learning curve. VNAV even works. I need to come here with crumbled up aviator hat in hand and ask a few questions that I have jotted down that I can’t seem to find answers to. I am using P3D v3.4 at the moment, but I will eventually have to upgrade to the 64bit version of P3D. However, I have a huge Airplanes_AI folder with (obviously) FSX/P3Dv3 compatible models and textures installed, so I have been checking out what I need to do to upgrade these models for a 64bit P3Dv4 environment. In short......it looks like a nightmare job

Hi all, please help me. With no reason today while trying for a flight my saitek pro flight rudder and yoke are out of the settings. Key assigments and axis assigments are away. I installed the A2A Bonanza and tried to open PREPARED v4 but all I get is the opening black screen. Everything is administrative rights . I installed in the D Drive where Lockheed is located but not in the PREPARED Folder. I deleted the shaders and even performed a system restore. At one point the scenery got to 99%, but just stayed there. The shaders are still deleted. I have a great plane that was purchased but can't fly it, it's frustrating!

My wife and I flew to Warsaw (EPWA) from KEWR in May on the wonderful 787-800 (1st time on that plane), and we loved the flight to and from Warsaw. Very comfortable and smooth. However, I noticed the sounds of the flaps being a "whine" that was very distinctive. I would love to have that sound along with the other 787 realistic sounds. Now, on Monday, we are flying Lufthansa 747-800 to Frankfurt, and then on to Sophia (Bulgaria) and we will be there and Romania AND Transylvania for 10 days. I don't know the sounds of this plane yet, but will be very tuned in to the differences over the other 747's that I've been on. MOST IMPORTANTLY, is the trip back to Newark. …

Yesterday while looking for a real world flight for my new B748, I noticed several flights to/from Beijing. I though to myself, not this time around, I don’t want to spend the money on a Beijing scenery right now (it’s been a pricy couple of weeks!) Then today I got a notification from Simmarket that an update is available for my previous purchase of the WF Studios Beijing scenery. Um, excuse me? So yeah, when you start not flying to cities because you don’t think you own an addon scenery, but you actually do, it might be a sign of an addon overdose. I may start a support group 🙂

We cannot have any discussion about P3D and its trajectory these days without talking about the cost. There is no doubt that flightsimming on the P3D 64 bit platform is becoming more expensive as the months go by. I can't see this changing anytime soon - which at this stage I am fine with - provided that the quality provides value for money. Value for Money - subjective..... PMDG 747 family - good example. When I flew in FSX I had a great little utility, Flightdeck FSX panel, which was amazing. I had replaced some of the default sounds with my own and loved it! The biggest thing I liked was the ability to have some ambient airport sounds when sitting at the gate at a large airport in the NGX. I find this one of the most frustrating things in P3D, is when you load a flight and there is nothing in the way of ambient sounds at an airport. Sometimes, if an AI aircraft passes there is some noise, but overall, it's like the dead of night once the aircraft is loaded. I find this very unrealistic. Prepar3D v4.3, Windows 10 Pro 64bit 16Gigs, i7 2600k 3.8., EVGA GeForce GTX 960 4Gig., I have uninstalled everything including Prepar3D to try and figure out this issue. So the pictures I am going to post, and the problem they represent, are in a totally clean install of Prepar3D v4.3 Note, the airports ALL have black or night ground textures around them. Some roads also take on these NIGHT textures. I have tried all the texture sizes and the result is the same. This even occurs on my own airport when I had it installed. At night some of the ground textures stay or turn to DAY textures. Mostly at night some ground textures turn to bright blue water.…
