Evenin' Folks from the VR Flight Deck, I dove into VR in 4.3 yesterday with the Oculus Rift and today with the Odyssey, and I just wanted to share some of my observations in case some of my fellow pilots may be considering doing it as well. I tend to fly the line in P3D, following routes with carriers I like according to as RW as I can make it, and realism and sim-fluidity are very important to me. Hi there, Just a Quick question regarding an GPU upgrade, since my r9 380 4GB is really struggeling with v4. Is it worth upgrading to a 1070ti or wait for 1080? So I'm getting frusterated with PTA's many settings so I purchased EVSHADE thinking that EVshade is a competitor to PTA...is this correct? I cant find in the interface of EVSHADE where to adjust all of the shaders like you can in PTA.

Hello. I've recently took the step changning FSX with P3d and honestly expirience some trouble with it. Especially the flight controls as you see on the video it seems that the animation responds accordingly to what I do with the flight controls, but the airplane itself isn't responding that much(but still responds a bit.) Please help.

I don't know where to put this. I have the A2A Cessna 172 on an Prepar3d Academic License. I bought a Flight1 GTN 750 and installed it on the 172. I was flying around and playing with the GTN 750 and couldn't get the aircraft to follow the flight path. How do you get the autopilot of the A2A Cessna 172 to follow the flight plan of the Flight1 GTN 750? I tried setting the plane to GPS and then turning on the autopilot and then selecting nav and it just flew around in a straight line. I selected HDG and that didn't work either. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Despite downloading the latest 1Gb update, baffled why is it when asking for a push-back for the CS737-200ADV, GSX(Not v2) keeps asking for Exit 2 to be closed when there is no Exit 2, so the pushback does not go ahead. I thought GSX recognised popular aircraft like these? Any ideas any GSX experts? Thanks.

As far as I understand, there are at least two different types of blurries: First, normal terrain scenery blurries which seem to be time dependent. They disappear when texture loading catches up or if I pause the the simulation. Second, photo scenery blurries, they seem to be more distance dependent. They disappear when I come nearer but won't disappear during pause. ORBX photo scenery in Valdez fjord is a good example. Are these observations correct or am I totally wrong? Which UI settings would have the most effective (normal terrain vs photo scenery)?

Hello, Such a great site and great forum.I use it a lot. couple of questions please. The first is related to PDMG 737. I used to get a beep sound when the plane descended to 10K feet (a reminder to turn on the landing light). I don't get it anymore. Any idea ? The second is related to performance. When I start P3D, everything works smoothly. However, if I leave it just as is, without doing anything, not even turn on the engines, several hours later the FPS drops to like 7-8. Just like that. Hello! I have been thinking about buying a 1-month-subscription for the Navigraph charts & FMS data, but I have a question concerning the subscription. What I have understood is that paying for a 1-month-subscription will give me a 1-month update cycle of the FMS data and charts, but when cancelling the subscription, the FMS data and the charts will still be installed into Prepar3D, although they are not being updated. Am I correct? Or will all Navigraph files be removed when cancelling the subscription? Thanks in advance. /Viggo

I set Prepar3D to only use 10 out of 12 of my logical processors, when P3D is loading I get around 80% CPU usage but when I get into the actual simulation the usage plummets to around 20% - 40% and doesn't go any higher. I tried making P3D use all cores, little to no difference. I know it most likely isn't a bottleneck of any kind since previously I've had P3D V4 run on all cores at 100% CPU usage with fine temperatures and high framerates, only recently it's started doing this. I've got this package loaded into my P3D v4.3 and want to move to Sky Force 3D, but struggling to confirm correct approach to remove TD/Soft Clouds Enhanced. The REX desktop console does not have a clear "uninstall" option that I see. User manuals don't seem to cover it specifically either. What I have done so far is use the inbuilt option to Restore (sim) textures, effects and sounds to pre-REX install using the Backup created at time of installation. My question is whether there are other steps needed before I load new product. Thanks in advance.

I've managed to get it both in the middle of Russia, near Vorkuta and near the international date line. Sometimes within one hour of each other. Hi Everyone! I'm having a problem with my ground / autogen textures..They stay this blurry.. It only happens after a while in a flight, like P3D doens't load the detailed textures.. I can fix it by changing a parameter in the display options , but it only helps for the area where I'm currently flying over. Anyone has experienced this as well? Oh by the way, I'm using ORBX My GPU is a GTX1080TI and my CPU is a i7 8700k, so that's shouldn't be the problem. I have installed Imaginesim's Delhi airport scenery. The ADE file excludes Terminal 2. Is there any ADE somewhere that does *include* it? Terminal 2 has been refurbished and is now used by Goair, so I would like to use that in my sim as well. Thanks. Chris

I updated avilsoft to v2, then updated chaseplane to their newest version and noticed fps dropped to around 5. So I thought I would update to v4.3 of P3D (which i had downloaded the other day), and following Matt Davis' video I only updated the client, scenery and contents. Well my fps is terrible (deleted the scenery.cfg as suggested elsewhere) and CYEG now has fantastic mounds everywhere like the airport has sunk 15ft into the earth. Bottom line is that P3D V4 has become unusable and I would really like to get back to the usual 30-70 fps I was used to before all those changes. It is supposed to work but it doesn't. Building your own customised AI flightplans with downloadable freeware aircraft models and repaints is a great way to create a convincing airport environment, but updates need to be done with care. Last year, I decided to remove most of my AIA and DJC models and repaints, and replace them with FAIB versions. A time consuming, but not particularly difficult task. Hi, I am searching for a good 737 Classic or similar aircraft addon. Is there any 737-300/400/500 Addon available? (As far as I know the QW 737CL has been canceled and the Wilco 737 PIC has not been updated to P3D v4). If not, is there any study level aircraft addon which is similar to the 737CL concerning the cockpit (Early glass cockpit, Electronic Flight Instrument Systems (EFIS) with traditional mechanical gauges)? I done plenty research and found some excellent advice in the chat rooms. Hello I have a dream: to install two different versions of P3dv4, on two different disks on the same computer. One version oriented landclasses as orbx sceneries and a other with "France vfr" + photo-sceneries to avoid conflicts with the hope having best results and best fps for each universe. What I don't know: with two users accounts + each user owning his personal licence of P3dv4, if this idea is realistic . thanks for sharing experiences.

Hello! I have a big problem. If change settings (for example limiting frames...) in nvidia inspector 1.9.7.3 I get input delay in Prepar3D V4.3 even with 30-40 FPS. I didn't have this problem when I was using V3.4 a year ago. If I revert profile settings for Prepar3D.exe in nvidia inspector to default I have no delay. Do you know what is causing this problem? i7-7700 (HT enabled, running at 4.2GHz)) 16GB DDR4 KFA2 GTX 1060

Someone told me that a study level 737 MAX is on the final to P3D. Could it be PMDG or is another developer?
