Hi I am using P3DV4 together with Active Sky / ASCA and ENVTEX and ENVSHADE. I like it in daytime and in dusk & dawn but at night I think it is to dark. In the cities you have normally the "light pollution" and the clouds are "illuminated" from the city lights, so there are not completely dark. Even in a remote area, if you have moon light and your eye will adapt and you will see anything in black/white with a bluish tone. I would like to have the late dawn settings for the hole night. Is there a chance to adjust it? How are your "night" settings? Greetings Erik

I would like to check with you if you if any of you out there has a CTD on final approach into WSSS, the sim CTD regardless of aircraft type. What can i do to rectify this please. Any suggestion would help . I have also emailed Imaginesim with regards to this issue. Thank you

Hi every on, I have seen in my P3D v4, in the night that when the aircraft stay in gate så er there light reflection from the airport light on the aircraft! ??? I didn't have a RTX 2080 or a RTX Titan in my pc, I have: GTX 1080 Aero oc 8GB 12 Direct, i5-7600k, 1x Samsung 970 Evo plus M.2 SSD 2TB. shouldn't this be impossible ??? take a look at the picture and see what I mean. The nose on the aircraft is light and the rest of the plane gets dark.

I am currently using P3D v4 and vPilot. I have external speakers and a USB headset/mic.. So far I am able to get the aircraft sounds out of the speakers and I have the vPilot/ ATC only through my headset (which is what I want). Here's the question. If I want to listen to com2 through my headset how would I do this? I have not been able to find how to assign BOTH to a switch on my controller and if I did I'm not sure that would matter. Basically I would like to direct the audio from whatever source to either the speakers or the headset. Any Idea?

Well it seems I'm too dumb to get the simplest things running :)... Problem: There are some 3rd party ACFT that still require you to load a default ACFT with ENG running. Whenever I load the default AC11 (blue), it loads with ENG off. I already started it's ENG several times and did save the scenario and also marked it to be the default scenario for P3D but it never loads it with running ENG. What's odd is that I did receive a while ago a saved file from somebody else and if I loaded that scenario, the AC11 always had it's ENG running. Comparing both files did not reveal anything..they were identical... The F22 though will always load with runni…

Hey guys hoping everyone is well. I recently upgraded to a GTX1080TI 11GB, I9-9900K, 850W PSU and 16GB of ram. I was just wondering what are your settings as i would like to have as many options as possible. Even do my system does allow me to turn things to the far right, i am more than content with having a smoother experience. Although i must say that i need help picking an AA setting.

Hello everyone, I've been having a problem with my P3D V4.5. When I'm flying in certain locations, I have a lot of problems with textures and I can't understand why. I've tried lots of fixes published here in AVSIM forums but none worked. Suffering from very low FPS (29-32 FPS and 10-15 FPS in VR) regardless of the scenery payware. I have an x8086 OC @5.2GHz, a 1080Ti OC edition @2025MHz, PiMax 5K+ headset. Running P3D v4.5 in mid to high settings (2048/x16/4SSAA). Both CPU and GPU are in the 50s% and temps are around 50-60C too. I just updated my Nvida driver to 441 and still, the problem persists. I am not CPU, GPU, or Monitor bound and Task Manager > Performance tab and HWMonitor are showing everything at or well below 50% utilized across the board!!! Thanks, Mustafa

Are there any good logbook apps for P3D and preferably XP? Payware is fine. I've been using project fly to track my flights/hours ect but I have questions to its longevity. I don't need crazy features but everything I search seems to bring me to things that add a "career" with it.

I would like to run the list by you to see if I forgot something. 1. Scenery.cfg and Add-ons.cfg from C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 2. All shaders folder from C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 3. For many reason, I still keep my P3Dv3 along with v4, but now I'm really short on my SSD room, I see the root\scenery takes about 12G of space, so I wonder if I could let v3 and v4 use the same one... For a long time, I use same add-on scenery folder for both v3 and v4, so I guess that could give a go.. I tried to rewrite v3's scenery.cfg and locate all of then to v4's scenery folder, and delete(backed-up) v3's one, it just doen't work, when starting V3, the loading window with map looks good, but when loading into fly, at about 60% auto-gen part, it's a lot of "Cache directory error. I have tried to add various scenery's to P3Dv4.4 such as FSX Taxi2Gate KMCO Orlando and LTBA Istanbul or Aerosoft Munich and get only jetways and no terminals or rest of scenery. I have tried both XML and scenery cfg method with same result. I have tried Lorby's tool but same problem. Granted these scenery's were for FSX but should work in P3Dv4

Hi Everyone I do not know this developer at all but I am looking more for secondary airports rather than majors so I can fly aircraft like the new KA350 and my Alabeo c421 into them. I have a number of smaller ones on the West Coast and Central via FTX but most in the east are majors. They appear to do some nice ones, the reviews all say not to expect flightbeam quality but the screenshots look pretty good. I am looking at KBNA, KSAT, KBHM and KPNS. Any comments positive or negative about them? Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Yesterday I installed the latest versions of P3Dv4, ASP4 abd the FSLabs 320 and 319, in preparation for my next acquisition, the 321... Before installing and using ASP4, I had no problems with correct ILS frequency identification on a flight with a short route from LPMT to LPPT that I usually run to test FSLabs and P3D and tune my systems. When ASP4 is installed, and run on the same PC, if it is started before P3dv4.5 starts and I select the FSLabs A319 or A320, the initialization sequence freezes and the only "solution" is to move to an external view and then back to cockpit view - then the sequence starts until the aircraft simulation is "ready for departure".…

Good news that this is released however, I think I'll wait on this one, as there is no seasons other than Summer, and what will the load times be like, it might be more of an option after LM sort load times out with P3D V4.5.

I'll try asking this again if it wasn't clear enough. Is it possible to run P3D (or FSXSE too for that matter) (a) *without* showing the aircraft and (b) also slew the viewpoint? Turning off the Virtual Cockpit view works only in a fixed forward direction -- it doesn't allow slewing the viewpoint and stutters with brief flashes of the (semi) rendered aircraft when you try to slew. I have separate instruments and instrument panel displays and don't need to show the aircraft itself. It just gets in the way. If it's not possible to have a movable exterior view sans aircraft, then how do you set up the config file if possible to do simultaneous views fro…

Hi, So while i was trying to fix gsx issue i got problem with Prepar3D. It doesn`t recognize any aircrafts apart aerosoft and fslabs products for example i have QW 787 and it`s not showing even default aircrafts are not there🙁. Deleted and installed again the latest version of P3D and nothing happens. (Just to mention didn`t touch anything with p3d while trying to fix gsx) Here are some pics: https://imgur.com/a/fy8Bb9d

Hi All Simple question. What is the most realistic Airbus A380 software available, that runs through Prepar3d v4 I currently fly PMDG 747/400, I thought I would learn to fly the A380. Hey guys so I have the throttle quadrant and rudder pedals. but my question is the 3 buttons below each lever, how do I assign each for fuel on/off ?? instead of flipping them on using mouse? thanks mike
