I am a new user of P3D and V5 is my first experience of the sim. I am getting more regular crashes and it always appears to be a graphics problem. Today, two complete crashes and the error messages said: CRASH 1 "Your dedicated graphics memory has run out." CRASH 2 "This device (NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER) stopped working for the following reason: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG." Are these known issues? They are totally ruining my enjoyment and ability to use the software. Not always, but in many many cases, I don't see any clouds when I have Enhanced Atmospherics on. I have the other atmospheric effects, but no clouds, nada, not a bit of a cloud ... . As soon as I switch EA off, clouds come back (if there are any according to HiFi's weather server). I have a strong suspicion that I'm doing something totally wrong. But what?

Since I changed from v4 to v5 i have very blurry ground textures. I have already reinstalled everything but it didnt´t fix the problem. Has someone any idea how to fix the problem? Hi Guys — I'm getting a blank white rendering window after the initial spash/config screen on P3Dv5. The program seems to run but nothing is rendered. Just a white on rice blank window. This is running on a machine with an AMD W9100 and multiple monitor Eyefinity syncronisation. Is there a work around for this?

I am thinking about going to V5. I am hesitant to delete v4 and have 133GB space left on my pc. How large of a file is V5? Do I have enough room to keep V4 on there until I get all of V5 installed with all of the airports, etc? I don't want to uninstall V4 and for whatever reason not like V5 and have to completely install v4 again.

Hi I have always used the sound port on my laptop that is always working - no silence. However, I wanted to switch to Bluetooth and I have tried it - it does all of the sound, except if there is any noise from the pilot on the radio, then the aircraft goes quiet for about 10 seconds. So, if another aircraft pilot talks, or I talk on the radio, the sound of the aircraft is lost for a little while. So how do fix it so it's like the cable and the sound is always on? Gary

Hello guys, I'm using Active Sky and its latetest build 7479 and P3DV5. But in every rainy conditions there are no precipitation. Just a few clouds but no rain. I tried it with and without EA. And it is not really overcast altough the weather conditions says OVC015 for example

Usually these are the topics I'm answering... but I'd like to use an addon that I can roughly replicate some of my real flying in. Is the A2A Cherokee my best bet? Is there anything else out there with fixed pitch prop (no blue lever)? Thanks! edit: Oh and preferably round gauges (glass would be ok if it's a nice addon)

Hello, I'm having an issue with the Rudder motion, the problem is that it doesn't move in a continous smooth way, no matter how tender I touch the joystick the rudder makes a sudden jerky total move to the side causing the aircraft to yaw. I'm using a Logitech 3D Pro, but I don't think it is causing this behavior because it works ok in the other sim that I have installed in the same computer, I've also tested with another joystick with the same problem.It works correctly with the keyboard. I'm having this issue in V5 it was ok in v4.5 Hope someone can help Thanks a lot Francisco Aguiar

Hello all, Tried to google and search this, but came up with slightly different answers, I wasn't sure really what the exact search words should be, I doubt I am the only one with this question. Is it possible to have all gates available at an airport when choosing a starting point? My Virtual Airline for example uses gate 50-55 at Manchester, however when I choose EGCC at the start, in the drop down box the only gates I can choose in that range is 53 or 55, there is no option to start at 51 or 52. Last time I had this on VATSIM a Ryanair was taking up 53, and 55 was taken up by a KLM, 50, 51 and 52 were available but I had to start at 48 as I couldn't choose 50…

This is legacy mode and not TrueSky. Clouds from ASC Sky/Water from EnvTex Shaders tweaked manually with EnvShade to mimic a bit the True Sky experience..

I recall this being a problem a while back but after reinstalling P3D v5 with the new HF, I'm getting these circles/rings around my aircraft at night. I'm running Orbx Global and LC North America. Verified files with Orbx. I am running EA clouds. Thoughts? Thanks

Hi. I am having an issue with going from the Menu screen to full screen using Alt+Enter. I have triple monitors using View Groups, all was fine but suddenly the left monitor goes into what I can only describe as a 4:3 ratio after switching to full screen. Any help would be appeciated Thanks

Hi! I use rex weather and have noticed that the atc gives me and the AI traffic different landning runways. For exapmple in Rome, I was cleard for land on RWY 16L, and the ai traffic was cleard to land on RWY 34R. (The same runway but from the other side) How can i solve this problem so we don't crash. Hi, I was wondering if I should disable all excessive AFCADs in the sim. Example would be where ORBX regional scenery has enhanced AFCAD packed with it but I also use full fat third party addon scenery. In that case I would have base scenery, ORBX scenery and addon scenery AFCADS active. It doesn't create any visual anomalies, I always make sure of that, but I'd like to know can they hurt performance. My observation has been that they dont, but I'd like to know what others think.

Having just got back into the flight sim world (since 2010), I am quite surprised at the lack of development of decent ATC, especially in the way it behaves. It doesn't really look like it's improved since FS2004 (16 years ago!). It's not so much the voices, but the behaviour: - staggered climbs causing you to level off for a few seconds at each altitude before receiving next altitude clearance. - not receiving descent clearance until really late (meaning I have to do a descent with speedbreaks out practically all the way down). - really confusing and unrealistic approach vectors (I've now given up and often cancel IFR before the approach starts). Was doing a normal flight, then my Prepar3D audio decided to cut out. After many restarts, the audio still wouldn’t come back. I have absolutely no idea what the source to this could be. The speakers work with other applications, and the primary playback device is set to my speakers. Any help is much appreciated

Hi All, I've just done a clean installation of P3D V5 and am going through installing AIG traffic. What I found interesting is the massive loss of FPS AI is causing that seems greater than it was in 4.5 Sitting on 27R at Sim-wings EGLL facing down the runway and looking at the buildings from within the F-35 cockpit I get a steady 120 FPS with all scenery maxed out . If I increase AI traffic to the point there is 150 aircraft in the sim, the FPS gradually drops down to about 30. Is this consistent with what everybody else is noticing? Seems greater than it was in 4.5 but it's been a month or so since I used that version of the sim and don't have it install…

Hi guys, I want to set a certain altitude to check my ORBX terrain textures but when I look at the in game map I can choose an altitude but "apply" is greyed out. I had this issue in 4.5 lately but now in p3dv5 I have this also... How can I fix this.
