Here's a strange one for you all. I have V4 & V5 installed, on there own SSD's. Just in the last few days have noticed that certain keys on the keyboard don't produce there character. Have done extensive testing, discovered that the problem is in V5 only. The keys that don't work are, q,w,r,t,y,u,i and o, all lower case. The stranger thing about this is, they work in upper case. I have looked on the forums but to no avail. It's not cpu load or any kind of computer load. The system is setting idle. When V5 is shut down then I regain keyboard control. Not running any of the HF's. And no, there hasn't been any other changes to the sim lately! Strange! Any ideas? …

Hi... I‘ve purchased FS Global ultimate for p3d v5. As you can see: ... there are 2 Sceneries for Africa, Europe, South America... ONE from FS Global Ultimate (34-41) and ONE „default“-scenery (24-33). Is it recommended to „disable“ the default scenerys (24-33) or is it ok, if this mentioned sceneries are enabled? best regards, Christian

Hello - Today I picked up OPIS and OPFA airports from SimArc, which are actually very nice. However, neither airport has any AI Traffic. How would I add traffic to those airports? I use Traffic Global. Cheers, Pete

I've just moved over to V5 ,Runs better than V4 on my machine .However the weather seems to always cloud in ,no matter what preset I use . I have to continually select clear skies during a flight or I end up with virtually zero visibility .I've tried orbx ,AS and default ...weather .

Hi there. I'm really enjoying Lionheart's Super Viking for P3D v4.5 but am finding that it has a tendancy to drift to the right if I stop using the yoke in level flight (or when climbing and descending for that matter). With the auto pilot on there are no problems, obviously. I have tried a few other planes to make sure there is nothing wrong with my Logitech Yoke and no issues. I have easy settings and no torque effect. Wind is 6 knots. Any suggestions most welcome. Maybe it's just the pull of the powerful engine and needs constant correction?

I was searching to see if a Draco / STOL AC was in the works anywhere. Watched a video on Youtube. Printed under the video a statement indicating it's in development for P3D and FSX, however, no information was given on who was undertaking its development. Several viewers asked for a link to download, but no response was given. Perhaps a potential dev showed the video to see what kind of response it would bring. I frankly feel the Draco will be a real "cash horse" for a dev. who provides us with it. Regards, Eagle

Don't know if anyone else has had this issue, but about an hour into a flight, my RC SimConnect widow will begin to flicker. Eventually, on a longer flight, it will disappear altogether. This has happened in both PMDG and Aerosoft aircraft, so they are not the culprit. Any ideas? Thanks..

Hi Im a casual sim-pilot, who is only in the game, as i have allways wanted to be a pilot, but other than that, im just like flying in VR because of the immersion and the scenery - not to train as a real pilot. FSlabs A320x is praised allmost everywhere but i find it to be rather expensive for a recreational add-on. I have allready the Capt. sim 767 and i'm enjoying it, but would like an xtra passenger jet. Would it be possible for you guys to recommend one for a dude in my situation (?) / Vejling

Hi! I've downloaded one of the project opensky b777 (https://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=singapore&x=11&y=14 ,the one that says B777-300ER star alliance white package) I've notised that all the opensky b777 (or really any free b777 aircraft that you can find on the internet) extinguishes/Darkens in the cockpit when it is dark outside. No panels work like FMC etc. It's just black. Does anyone know what to do when this is repeated on several models I have downloaded? Sincerely Axel

Hello, not sure what changed, but I used to have slew heading change also turn the view - as in, the view will turn together with an aircraft. Right now, the aircraft turns, but the view remains in the same direction. I am using FSUIPC and Chaseplane. I know I could most likely change it in the .cfg, but is there a setting in either FSUIPC or Chaseplane to fix this? Thank you.

I brought the Carenado Phenom300 around 2 weeks ago, and before yesterday I de-installed them fromP3D. Since then I have a strange problem with my remaining A/C, AS Bus, (318-321) and Lvl-D. I can only open the left front entry door. If I try another one, like rear pax door ord caorgo door, the fwd entry closed. So, whichever door i try to open, only fwd left entry opens and closed. Any help are welcome. Peter

For anyone having this issue, I hope this helps you. This is something I stumbled upon as a fix (all pure accident). I am unsure as to why this is the case, but if you own two simulators that are both supported by GSX on the same system, it may sometimes cause issues or rather, installing the same airport on two different simulators supported by GSX. In my case, I have FSX SE and P3D V5 on my computer supported by GSX. I also happen to have T2G VHHH for FSX SE and v2 for P3D. I had created BGL exclude files (using the FSDT control panel) for VHHH in FSX for jetways and customisations. When I installed V2 for P3D, it all seemed fine until I saw my customisations …

Hi all, Here's my dilemma: In V4, I was able to run unlimited frames/Vsync on/30hz with crisp textures on my aging i7 6700k @4.6. In V5 in this same configuration, I have blurry/slow-loading textures. I've tried turning on HT, lowering settings, config tweaks, etc, but the result is the same. But if I limit the FPS in-sim to 30, textures load perfectly and I still have very smooth, constant 30fps while airborne, even with TrackIR. The problem is when I'm on the ground with GSX, SODE, other aircraft in the area, I'll get the stutters that I don't get with unlimited FPS. So my question is, would it be possible for something like Dynamic FFTF, except with the FPS limite…

Hi everybody, I'm running p3d v4.5 and I currently use AIG's AI Traffic Addon. As we all know, at busy airports, AI Traffic hogs up the system and drops FPS to its knees. I'm looking for an AI Traffic limiter which will limit the number of AI Traffic based on the set FPS in the program. For example, if I set "30 FPS", so the moment my sim goes below 30 FPS, it will start removing AI Traffic until the point it is again back to or above 30 FPS. I have P3Dv3.4 installed on my J/SSD. My C/SSD is limited to about 18gb free space. I would like to install P3Dv5 on a HD partition whilst keeping the v3.4. As this one is already registered on my C drive will the v5 require more space on this C drive.

Ever since i upgraded to Win 10 ver 2020 I'm getting this. "you'll need a new app to open this ms-gaming overlay" pop up window when loading SIM. .I just ignore it but it keeps popping up if i select a ant menus etc. Just annoying.

I am using AIG-OCI for my AI and with it really hurts my performance with it on. I would like to know if it's CPU or GPU bound? According to my system setup I feel it's the former.

Hi guys, I recently went to v5 and I was really impressed how well it is performing on my RTX 2080Ti. Since I tried out various weather settings I am getting constantly crashes either with an error popping up saying that the application ran out of memory or it directly crashed to the desktop. I checked my system memory usage via the task manager I noticed that while my VRAM runs constantly at 7-8.5 GB, my RAM usage is incredible high. While the error happen it seems that the RAM is maxed out. After this error the Sim sometimes still runs but the majority of the textures are blacked out. I'm on HF2 in v5. Just downloaded the active sky beta and tried it with default and EA.. the default clouds are just 'meh'.. EA cumulus clouds and overall lighting are awesome.. but there are those glitches which wont be fixed until 5.1.. so i have 3 paths in front of me.. which one should i take? 1. buy ASCA for better cloud depiction.. i like the in-cloud motion effect they advertise (if that indeed works) and the smooth weather transitions.. also well integrated into ASP3D 2. buy Rex SF3D (on sale now).. much better cloud depiction than ASCA.. but not officially supported by rex yet for v5.. lighting in ASCA and SF3D will not be as great as EA.. does SF do be…

Hello everyone, I would like your opinion on a highly debated topic, for years now, namely the AA of P3D. In particular I am referring to version 4. I can't understand why there is no way to get rid of it completely. I did several tests and came to the conclusion that it's impossible to completely eliminate it. For example, if we are positioned on any runway, I see the jagged line at the end of the runway and also the yellow taxiway line get jagged and flickering, sometime even the border of the asphalt with the grass. Hi all - I generally just like flying small GA aircraft for P3D, but every once in a while I feel like hopping in a 737, an ERJ or a CRJ for some high altitude sightseeing. Because I like the REX weather addons for v4.5, do you guys (and gals) have any suggestions for a good aircraft of the type that is freeware? Because I don't intend to even halfway seriously learn the aircraft, I don't feel like spending money on it. Unless it's a great plane for $20 or something like that. Thanks!
