So I bought the qw 787 sofar so good with performance , apart from my assigned flightplan altitude hold at 31000ft was overshot and the aircraft kept climbing and overspeeding. and weather radar with asp3d not working I think. thoughts please thanks mike

Maybe someone can help. I refer to one particular scenery which fails to load properly, but there is a general issue I think. First, I run Orbx FTX. The insertion point for UK2000 Belfast Xtreme is above the Orbx FTX folders. All the addon sceneries are above the Orbx folders. In P3Dv4.5 many of my addon sceneries live in a place called ...\Documents\P3D v4 Addons, including Belfast Xtreme. Here, the file is described in .xml code. The same scenery also appears in F:\Lockheed Martin\P3D v4\Addon Scenery where it contains the usual folders. When I try to disable or edit the scenery from the Scenery Library, I cannot, as it, along with all the other addo…

When I try tu uninstall the system says : Could not access network location *:\P3DV4\Scenery\World\textureMany thanks in advance

P3d v5 runs fine. Whenever I access any menu item and return to the simulator the sky turns dark (like it is reloading shaders) Then the scene returns to normal but there is no sound and the FPS is around 0.5. I can still access menus or exit the program after a delay. Problem came out of nowhere. Have cleared shaders (multiple times) and rebuilt config. Have run repair on Content and Client modules. Hi, I purchased Chaseplane a few days ago, and have not been able to start a flight since then. Not sure if the problem is with Chaseplane, but I haven't had this issue until now. Here is what I have running with each flight. Problem is near the end. Some info first. I am running: P3D 4.5HF2 GSXv2 ProATCx Active Sky Environment Force I am an old user of EzDok so I'm using the same setup that was way back then (seems to work well at first glance). I'm in LTFE and trying to get the jetway connected which is right next to the aircraft - there is jetways i see it but when i open up the gsx to connect it, it says "no jetways here" why does it do that? Is it scenery problems some files is missing or...?

I find it incredible that v5 is bringing cards like 2080 etc to their knees I’m gutted I moved so soon gut was telling me to stay at 4.5 numerous crashes one tonight vcruntime140 Lost all confidence to fly it at the moment. Debating whether to put simming aside for the time being in a hope it will improve.

Quick question. I'm a happy user of chaseplane in V5. Was also one in V4. In each simulator I noticed when in an external view mode, panning/moving is choppy if using the static cam or a view that isn't locked to the airplane. I haven't followed the history of this issue. But I saw searching this goes back a few years. But couldn't easily find the solution. Does anybody have any way to remedy? Thanks.

I'm about to build a new system and would like to know some best practices when it comes to creating and organizing all your add ons for P3D. Do you use the default 'Prepar3D v5 Add-ons' folder to contain all your add ons? or do you have a separate folder? For my new computer I would like to consolidate all add ons into a single location for the sake of better organization and simplicity. Currently I have some developers that install addons into the default location and for ones that don't, I have a separate folder on another drive for my addons. I don't like this method as it gets very messy as time goes by when your addons starts piling up. I really wish that…

hi everyone, As an airline pilot , every time in real simulator , my instructors set for example a thunderstorm in take off leg to demonstrate a windshear during take off , I wonder if there is such a capability to put a thunderstorm or any kind of cloud in specific position around airport or along a route in p3d or other weather addons??? best regards.

Not that it is specific to V5, but my V5 installation wants me to enable a number of addons at every start-up of P3D (usually the same ones - and they are Orbx addons). Kind of annoying - I guess there must be something incorrectly configured. Anyone know why and what the solution is? Cheers Erich

Hi All, I've noticed over the past few flights with the NGXu and QOTS II that in a number of circumstances the performance in the VC is much better than from the external view. It always used to be the other way around in V4 and I'm wondering if it has something to do with PBR. I'm running at 4K with textures at 2048 and generally have no issues maintaining 30+ frames, but the last couple of flights at Taxi2Gates VHHH andSimwings EGLL I've noticed that if I'm taxiing in the VC I'll be getting 40+ frames but switching to the external view gives me 15-20. I suppose this is purely subjective, but to me the sky colors of the "EA" option in P3D v5, especially at dusk/dawn sometimes appear to be incredibly unrealistic to my eye with weird red and purple landscapes, daytime is great however. Any opinions on this? I understand it's still beta but hope they are taking a look at the sky colors and atmospheric effects that come with it.

Hello, not really sure why, but I get lots of stuttering when I'm on VATSIM compared to offline. Just sitting at the gate, I can observe the scene stutter a lot when I pan around, compared to when not connected, it's smooth as a butter. I'm not sure if it's a performance issue really, because my FPS are generally good, especially in external view. I am locked at 32fps (with screen also at 32fps), so it can't be a sync issue. As models I am using FLAI with vpilot. Currently only 5 aircraft visible and/or in the vicinity of the airport. Seems like a problem with AI models? Hi folks, I have the FLAI AI for flying online with VPilot which is absolutely fantastic, but it just isn’t terribly comprehensive when it comes to GA aircraft. It seems that the TBM9 is a popular type for flying on VATSIM, as are the DA62 and the BE58; with many of these types, they will appear either as the default CRJ (which is really jarring, seeing an airliner land at a small, GA grass airfield like Goodwood), King Airs or other airliners. Does anyone know of any AI that has a comprehensive set of GA aircraft that will prevent this when flying online? thanks folks

I just ran the installation setup for P3Dv5 and the Install went OK but installed under: C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5 I was expecting it to install to: C:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5 (where I currently have Prepar3D v4), ...then I would have to separate folders, Prepar3D v4 and Prepar3D v5. I don't think there was an option for me to choose where to install the sim (maybe I overlooked it). Can I simply copy the folder over to C:\Lockheed Martin\ or should I uninstall and try again?
