Everytime I try and install the application, I get to the install screen, click 'Install' and the whole thing crashes. I've disabled my virus software. Any ideas? Thanks

Hello, I have recently reinstalled Windows 10 and subsequently P3D v4.5 and all its add-ons. I have got it running almost to the point where I am happy, maintaining a steady 30 FPS in most situations. However, I have come across periods of time in which the FPS will fluctuate heavily up and down to 10fps for a few seconds. It appears to happen when approaching larger airports. (Default and add-on). I've narrowed it down to the Ai aircraft which I am using AIG manager. When turning off AI, the lag spike no longer occurs. I've verified AIG. Would anyone have any other suggestions as to eliminate this lag spike? It certainly wasn't there pre reinstallation. T…

I'm flying a British Airways 787 (QW) and although I've got 'SPEEDBIRD' set as the Airline Call Sign, ATC just uses the flight number without the call sign. I know P3D can say Speedbird as it does for AI traffic. Any ideas? Thanks

While the advanced atmosphere is in beta, I certainly use the old engine. He is very handsome in P3Dv4.5 1. The sun is flat 2. Sunlight has no scattering, only a strange halo highlight in the form of a point. 3. The clouds are flat 4. Autogen over the clouds 5. Flickering textures (ActiveSky + Envshade Envtex )

I decided to take the risk and try maxing out p3dv5 today and to my surprise I am still managing 29-30FPS. The only setting I don't have maxed out are shadows, and texture quality (set at medium to avoid VRAM overages). So far I am sitting at 3.5/7.1GB at ORBX's KTVL airport. I haven't tried to fly into urban LA yet which will be the real test. The biggest key so far appears to be setting 2xMSAA in the sim and using 2x SGSS in Nvidia's inspector. It looks almost as good as 4x SSAA which is an FPS killer on my system sometimes.

Update for V4.5 and V5 out now!!

Hello. Why doesn't it show all the vehicles OF GSX2 at Trondheim airport ... and if I bring the camera closer, some are under the plane or the plane above them ... whoever prefers. I only have this problem at ENVA other airports flawlessly.With old one ENVA I didn't have any problems.Any advise?

HI All, I know theres MK Studios / Aerosoft for EIDW, but I'm struggling to find any scenery for any of the following for P3Dv4.5 EIKY - Kerry EIKN - Knock EINN - Shannon EICK - Cork EGAE - Derry Its like the entire country has been forgotten about my scenery developers. Of course, like everyone else, I've been playing with my settings....including various addons and NOT including various addons, but in the last 3 days, I've been having really good flight experiences (V5H2). I've had few, if any, real stutters, few if any long serious pauses, and my FPS has been staying relatively consistent throughout my flights. Absolutely NO crashes. Today was KPHL to KMCO and all went really well. The BEST thing I've done and I really appreciate the "realism" I'm seeing is turning on EA! Anyone here that is using Envshade in p3dv5 have good results with night lighting? I find that the nights are so dark even street lights are hard to see. If I turn HDR off, then the nights become way too bright. I am looking for some recommendations on how I should set my sliders to find a good balance. https://prnt.sc/t8rc8u

Hello! I am thinking about upgrading my I7-7700 to I7-10700 (I have RTX 2070 Super). I usually fly CPU intensive airliners and I need a CPU that will do a better job. Does anyone have a experience with i7-10700? What is your opinion - how will P3D v5 run with i7-10700? Is it a good choice? I was searching for videos on youtube about i7-10700 and P3D without luck. Hi, On QW 787, I set the V speeds in the FMC (used the EFB to generate them, sent them to FMC and then accepted them). However, they're not appearing on the speed tape on PFD during take off? I get a "V1" callout (even though it's not on PFD) and nothing else (no "rotate" or "positive rate of climb"). I used to get them, now they've disappeared...can anyone help? Thanks, Ben

I would like to know of P3Dv5 will function my late 2018 Macbook pro in bootcamp. it seems to meet all minimum specs for V5 but im not sure it'll be able to sustain 3ghz because of thermals. I have read a lot about FPS improvements in V5 and would like to know if i'd be able to take advantage of that with my specs, or if I should just stick to V4.5. specs: Intel i7-8850H, 16GB DDR4 , Radeon Pro Vega 20 4GB GPU

So I've just downloaded AIG AI Manager. Apparently, it's a "one-click" "powerful tool" to manage AI. What?! No, it's not!! I clearly need a computer science degree to even begin to get it to work. Can someone who is much more on my level (like most people), please decipher this for me. How do I get it to work...?!

Hi, as a user of France VFR sceneries, I have occasionally a look into their forum. Now, this French approach is certainly different from the MSFS way in that it doesn't stream data from a server but preprocesses them and stores them locally (like ordinary Prepar3d scenery). While this may not (yet?) be ripe for prime time, I find it interesting such a procedure can be practically…

Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone has managed to get the PMDG 737 NGX (not NGXu) working in v5 yet? I know no official installer exists for this particular aircraft by PMDG but I am able to install it without any problems and load it up into the sim. However, a CTD always occurs after a couple of minutes in the 737 (usually when switching views but not exclusively) so does anyone have any ideas or know how to get it working? I've got the 777 working correctly without any issues or changing anything.. Many thanks 🙂

Hi. I love the colours in V5 and how the shaders make ORBX global etc look so good. But the issues with V5 take the reliability away and I would like to stick to V4 for now. Has anyone been able to get anywhere close to the colouring of V5 in V4 using tomatoshade/sky force etc? Thanks in advance! Ian.

I don't want to gamble with sub par GA aircraft for P3Dv5. I currently have Alabeo PA32, Carenado GTX90, Alabeo C441, Carenado Embraer 300. Whilst I like Carenado in Xplane, they seem terrible in P3D. Could anyone recommend me some good GA planes not Carenado or A2A. And also a place to buy them. I'm aware of Simmarket and Justflight. I am using fly chrono in order to allow the sim to follow real world time, however the sim time is always a minute off from the real life time when I use FlyChrono, how do I fix this?

I was wondering if anybody running P3D V5 HF2 with OrbX Global and OpenLC NA can do me a favor take a screenshot around KFLL Fort Lauderdale area. I just installed P3D V5 and I don't have any scenery addons at the moment and by looking at the vanilla P3D installation it does not look half bad. I just wanted to make a comparison. This is how P3D V5 plain vanilla looks.

HI All, Ive tried applying in the Dynamic Reflection programme both INI / Chris O and other reflection profiles and get the following error: "Model not identical, do you want to conitnue importing the profile" I push yes and get the following error: "The following materials could not get applied: PMDG_737NGX_FUSELAGE_3.DDS [Index]: 22" I get the same error with the default Tomato 737 profile but it then loads and displays correctly in the sim, but I really want to try out the other profiles?
