Holy crap. All I could say after landing the bird... I even called up my girlfriend to show her. Too bad systems didn't replay... but at least the aircraft did, without flaps and all... Been tweaking FSX and NGX for the last 2 days, playing around with it. But no landing. Today did my standard quickflight from LOWS -> LOWW. 30min or so flight. Given, I didn't start from cold&dark, that is the next step, but did a complete flight. How some come have problems with landing is a mystery to me. Hi guys, I was just wondering if anyone was planning on making a cold and dark start-up tutorial that mimics realistic operations. I have sorted through FCOM to find the specific procedures for the specific 737-800 configuration that I have, but it is easier if someone would create a video. I do not mean to sound lazy, but there are people out there that know much more about the procedures of starting up and could explain them as opposed to a 45 page checklist. I do realize the plane is very fresh out, and everyone is still getting the hang of it. Just curious if anyone is planning on doing something like this. Well then chaps after a very frustrating day yesterday i could not get the plane to work as soon as fsx started and the plane was visable fsx crashed so today i bit the bullet and unenstalled everything i had includind Windows 7 then formatted all my drives i have now nearly compleated a full reinstall of everything again just some more scenery to go and the plane installed with no problem and i have had a quick look at her she is a buety for sure.cheersIain

I have searched and not found anything regarding this issue, but whenever I try to install more than 1 livery at a time it will not work. The file is in the fsx folder but it does not show on the livery manager under installed nor in FSX. It will install 1 but then if I do 1 more the one that I already had installed goes away and the one that I tried to install does not install. I have windows 7I run as adminI hit yes to whatever the error was for the aircraft.cfgI made sure it was the right planeFSX directory path is correctI looked in the manual and did it step by step per the manual Thanks for any help!!

After the 737NGX loads into a scenery I get an error message saying "The module "E\Program Files\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Modules\GNSSXch1 & GNSSXch2 may not be compatible with the version of Windows that you are running. Check if the module is compatible with an x86 or x64 version of regsvr32.exe

Has anyone come across this Faulting Module causing a CTD when just about to hand-land after a GA caused by an autoland going awry thus becoming a Missed Approach? Just had this happen when about to hand-land at EGCC.Any clues would be appreciated. Thanks

Hey guys, due to the fact that I'm on duty till thursday evening and not able to use the NGX on my laptop, I would appreciate Youtube videos made by you guys.The best thing would be landing videos (day and night).Some difficult handflown SIDs would be cool too. Perhaps some is able to explain how to record FS flights easily. Then I'll do my best to make some of those too. (after thursday evening of course! ) Greetings from Germany

Hi.. when I press 'Addon' in the Windows bar... under PMDG it only shows 'about PMDG' and not the range of options. Can anyone advise please ?

First off all congrats PMDG with this great product! My FSX has been on the shelves just waiting for this product!I'm using this to keep my MCC skills up to date together with a old classmate of mine.(I know it's not officially approved in the PMDG manual ;-)) ) Just want to share a bit of info of my performance: Clean install fsx+acc and only the NGX add-on. Moved all the sliders like PMDG advised. 1600x1200 res.On rwy 24 EHAM with cloudsetting cold front. fps are around 40 to 50 and when airborne it doesn't change all that much.My fps were initially around 25-30 but I used the 'remove the fsx.cfg trick mentioned in this forum and my fps almostdoubled as you can see!! Wow that felt like it was all over in about 5 minutes. All went by the book but I didn't get the MCP alt alerts on the departure from EGKK that the manual said I would (the 5000-6000ft transitions). May have been something I did. What a lovely aircraft, a little odd not using my MCP Combo panel after three years flying the Level D 767 using it. Got between 12-20 FPS. Wow, can't wait till my next flight. Are there any passenger / cabin views?

I have to say that I have been using Flight Sim since FS4 and probably knocked up 10,000+ hours over the years and can honestly say that 737NGX is streets ahead of anything else I have used - well done to the whole team at PMDG for a truly stunning piece of work on this !!! Have just completed several flights with actually very little instruction needed, the best bit is the very smooth Autoland, excellent FPS and sound too. Thank you.

I was following the tutorial flight info. When I got to the part where it said to turn the knob from Mercury to Pascals, the throttle just ramped up. I pressed F1 to cut it, but and it did then immediately ramped up again. It only stopped when I turned the baro knob back left to inHG. Only happened during that particular time with engines already on and at that stage in the tutorial. That said, it's a most wonderful simulation. Congratulations to PMDG. May you all receive deserved accolades. The CDU and EFIS especially are groundbreaking and sets a new bar. I'm a low end user. I got 25fps on the ground, but it brought me down to 9 when I was flying through the storm, then back up to 30 once I was on top. I'm using ASE. I limited the cloud layers to 3, but it didn't help much. Great turbulence modelling! On edit: I noticed when the frames dropped to 9 that the gauges seemed to maintain their smooth FPS.

Hi there, first of all - i love this bird and it was worth every penny for the addon (and the new CPU, MB i spent my money on yesterday ;)But i have 2 small things to say about both Austrian Livery (the default, and the Star Alliance). 1. Star Alliance Livery: The birds actual name is "Gerlitzen" and not "Gerlitren". Gerlitzen is a mountain in Carinthia.2. Austrian Livery: Even smaller issue than the first one. The Engine nacelles are in light blue with "austrian.com" in a little darker blue. But in the Background is an even lighter "WWW". That is modelled correctly in the Star Alliance Livery. And according to my spotting pictures (even though they are from a fokker 70) …

Lads & Ladies,I'm experiencing a weird issue. Maybe I'm missing something here. When all three tanks have fuel and the center tank is used up, the engines just shutdown rather than switching over to the L/R tanks. No warning either from the center tank being depleted. All pumps are on. Should this not happen automatically? I can switch the center tank pumps off prior to empty and it will use the L/R tanks but I have to catch this before the engines shutdown. Doesn't make sense.Any ideas?Thx,Todd.

I have controller buttons assigned to views 5 to 9 in my fsx.cfg file. They work fine with other add-ons but they do not pickup NGX CameraDefinitions.xxx settings. Is there a difference between CameraDefinition.xxx and CameraDefintion.x ? I am making another attempt to like FSX. Still an FS9 fan so I am not overly familiar with the way it works - hence the question. Thanks PMDG for the 2D panel. Great marketing decision if you ask me.

I noticed that if I deploy the speed brake at the Top of Descent the 737 NGX will fly the descent profile almost flawlessly. I lowered flaps as required and lowered the speed brake when flap 2 was deployed. Strong winds did not make a big difference. The greatest vertical deviations were 51 feet and only for a few second. I do not know if this is realistic, but it works. Ed

55 minutes into the cruise at FL370 the whole thing just froze requiring a restart. I have been doing a lot of other flying with the NGX, but the first long cruise todate.. It was a night flight. I wonder if an overclocked graphics card might have something to do with this . It is not seriously overclocked but always functions perfectly in other applications,games etc other than FSX. I have had other freeze ups before NGX with the J41 seem to have occured with the overclocked card.Perhaps Im running in circles?I did send a ticket.

Hey guys,i desperately need some help... after takeoff at about 10000ft an orange button illuminates showing "auto fail" in the overhead. you can also hear a beep tone which stops after a certain amount of time... i would really appreciate to get some help. Best regards, Dominik

I was having trouble starting the second engine after having started the first with the ground air source. Well, I checked the FCOM and lo and behold... it says to disconnect the external air and start Engine No. 2 using the Engine Crossbleed start procedure.... Worked as per FCOM like pretty much everything else on this bird. Thanks PMDG.

I've been playing around with the VSD which is a great little tool for situational awareness. However, a couple of times now it's done something weird. It's hard to explain but during the final stages of an approach the runway and glide path symbols become 'fixed' in reference to the airplane symbol. In other words the airplane symbol 'pushes' the runway along in space at a fixed distance rather than moving any closer. The symbols disappear off the end of the display (it's nothing to do with the scale set). It doesn't happen all the time, and last time it happended I landed, took off on a short turn around without reloading the NGX or panel state or anything and it worked…
