PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

I was wanting to know if any has or knows how to keep map the VRInsight MCP Combo with the NGX. I don't have a glue how to do this and would like some instructions on how to do so. Thanks in advance

I've been following the 737 threads for a while and the hysteria was a little disturbing and expectations were high.Now it seems for some, the expectations were destroyed. But that doesn't really give anyone an excuse to start yelling and screaming because something doesn't work.You might notice, I am a commercial developer and consider PMDG my competition. A very strange thing happened on my last flight today. I landed at KLAX with a perfectly normal landing. When I went to taxi off the runway I noticed my nosewheel sterring was not working and my power was stuck at 47.2%...autothrottle was off, autopilot was off. The throttle was locked in place and using either the keyboard or my saitek throttle quadrant would not move the throttle in any direction. I then did a normal engine shut down procedure and the engines kept running at 47.2% and would not shut down. Chad

ok, late here now and after 3 weeks vacation office calls in few hours. came home today, downloaded and installed the ngx and love it. thanks team! all works fine so far, no bigger concerns besides possibly some user errors :-). and folks, this is soooo smooth and fluid on my machine. unbelievable. installed out of the box and enabled most options via fmc and still no stutters so far (need to check orbx next). with rex and ase. anyway, promised to fly from eddm to lowi as first flight and here we go. just great. what an experience:

Hello, each time when I´m using the speebrakes it shows the green armed light. I use the mouse wheel in the VC to use the speedbrakes. What I´m doing wrong? I thought the green armed light only illuminates when the speedbrakes are in armed position and not during normal inflight use!? Thank you for your help,Holger

Hey PMDG, I know that this has been asked before. However, with the release of the NGX, and the possible ties to SB (I think this is what I've heard) is it maybe possible for you guys maybe as a "side project" to do a VATSIM client? I mean, you guys have the experience and the skills necesary to create an epic one, seeing as you guys have created the masterpiece that is the NGX as well as your other addons. I know that it has to be FREE per VATSIM rules, but maybe as a treat for all of your users? If not, I'm sure maybe if you talk to the VATSIM admins, they might authorize it to be payware, as to be honest, nobody will HAVE to buy your VATSIM client, as there are free …

Hi, great aircraft so far. I've been having a couple HUGS issues so far and they have repeated. The CDI in the HUGS does not deflect when off course when in PRI mode. Additionally the flight director does not show up in the HUGS when TOGA is activated. I am using Win 7 64bit. VR Todd

Does anyone know how to overcome choke,parkingbrake settings to have AES working?A simple walkthrough would help .find it frustrating that i have to go to fmc menu every time a have to set or release brakes so AES works.thanks

Hello all! I know that here may be many topics like this, but anyway... What would be the good settings to run NGX on FSX with good frame rates and also very good looking. I'm now thinking about FSX settings, Nvidia control panel setting and everything what will affect frames and looks. About FSX.cfg1. If i'm right the FSX.cfg should backup2. Delete it3. Reboot FSX4. Hello, No I don't think it's a bug or something, but most likely it's because of me.I have done some flight so far, and I'm having some problems with the HGS. For example today, I did a flight from LFBE to EHRD. When I was in my descent, I programmed the HGS for approach. I set the airport elevation of 49 feet, so it said "EL>49", then I clicked RWY again to programm the runway length. I set 7218 ft, and pressed ENTER. I left the mode on default just like in the tutorial flight. MODE set to PRI, and STBY set to IMC A III. I set the ILS frequencies of 111.90 in both the left and right radio, I set a course of 238 degrees in both course windows, I armed APP at about 300…

When in MP chat, some keystrokes seem to be being intercepted by the 737, and are not passed to the text input line, when typing in MP chat window. Typically SHIFT L, SHIFT E, SHIFT G, and SHIFT H. Very occasionaly, they do get passed through. When there is FOCUS on the TEXT Chat window input window, ALL keystrokes should pass to that input window. ( even if intercepted for other 737 purposes first) There must be some C++ code intercepting keystrokes.. it needs to be looked at !! Geoff

An issue with the PMDG 737 NGX - after leaving cruise the wind isn't updated, even during final approach and landing, which can leave a stiff wind on landing! Problem initially noted running Active Sky Evolution. Attempting to "reset" the weather by forcing "Clear Skies" from the FSX menu changes the pressure (QNH) but does not affect the wind! System is Win 7 64-bit, 4GB RAM, FSX Acceleration/SP2.

Hello, guys. I found a little problem, nota big deal but i thought that we all want this baby to be perfect and i wanted. to help a little. If you see the pictures the text on the EFIS for the Mins Knob and the VOR/ADF 1 desapear when i move my view to the right, also if i click on them they doesn't work. All other buttons work. Of course when i "close" (i didn't know what word to use) the HGS everything is normal. Now, for this last picture i want you to show that the ADF needle is tracking a station but on ADF 1 there is no station tuned and also you can't see the needle on the ND even with the VOR/ADF switch set on ADF. I love this plane. It is one of those products that just works. Many times with other add-ons, it is a struggle just to get up to alt let alone arrive at your destination. I jumped into my new -900NGX and before I knew it I was taxing to my gate at EWR. Gotta love that. So I run dual monitors being driven by nvidia gts-460 fed by a Xeon X5650 and 6GB ram. The only issue I noticed at all was a oddity about using controls on the second virtual screen. Nothing that wasn't easily worked around. No freezes, no stutters, no issues whatsoever. Hi guys! The NGX is Awsome! only one issue that keeps bugging me, the brakes! I have seen the manual statement about FSUIPC. I deleted it. my brakes still don't work all the time. Today I had this 2 times: Cold and dark panel stateSetup of all systems according to FCOM1 NP. Pushback from CDU. Brakes U/S (brake temp 0.0)(brake pressure in green sector)(FSX generated brake messages show)(braking with rudder pedals don't work)(braking with . key don't work)(braking with parking brake don't work) After saving and reloading the brakes work againbut It is quite interrupting. Hello all, First, obviously an incredible aircraft. Tried to play another game for 5 minutes today but quickly went back to flying this incredible piece of software! Anyhou, for the problem. When I load instant replay (usually a landing), the plane 'flies' back to the starting point of the replay, but always hits the ground first which causes the NGX to become a giant fireball which never stops. It's annoying, because it happens after each replay and once you end the replay the plane is still on fire. Perfectly usable, except a flaming inferno. Anyone else have this issue? Joshua Weinstein

Everything was going well for me into LAS on vatsim, until the plane stopped descending at the FAF on the RNAV 19R into LAS. The altitudes were in the vnav profile but it wouldn't descend below 4500 without manual input. I was under the impression this thing would fly to minimums (sorta like a WAAS approach with LPV guidance). searched the forum but found no entry on this. when showing airports on the ND it displays all the airports. i would assume there is a way to filter the displayed airports by runway length. i did not find any setting for that on the mcdu. did i just not find it or is it somewhere else? thanks!

Hello all, As you know, if you have overclocked system you can have some problems after installation. Therefore, installation process is suggested without overclocking. Give it a try.

Hi to all at PMDG and thanks so much for this wonderful piece of software that has now come to life in my sim. I had to uninstall/reinstall FSX to get it up and running properly but now I am over joyed. I have until now been flying the FSX default 737 and the procedures with the NGX are so different and so much more advanced. The sound just blows your socks off (even impressed the wife) and I have no stuttering even on my meagre system (2 yrs old). Tonight I followed and completed Ryans tutorial from Gatwick to Schipol.
