Good afternoon ladies and gents,I do a fair bit of regional route flying using the NGX in regional WA (YPKG, YPPD, YNWN etc). I was just wondering, on these 1 to 2 hour routes to small regional fields whether it's normal to dispatch with the return fuel already loaded so as not to worry about refuelling at the destination? I have actually flown many (too many probably) of these routes but couldn't recall where refuelling happened. Airlines like Qantas and Virgin Australia use B738 and B737's on these routes a lot and I thought someone 'out there' might know the answer? Thanks for NGX and the interesting information that comes through this forum,CheersJames Cleverley

It's impossible for me to do a Vnav descend without exceeding the target speed, specially beyond 20.000 feets. I need to deploy spoilers and still exceed the speed. I noticied that in idle position the engines are running at 40%N1, 40%??? that's normal? Anybody have the same problem?

HiJust a short message before I go to work. I downloaded last night & managed two short flights, Liverpool to Gatwick & Gatwick-Manchester. I was a REX & ASE user prior but this new product does it all. Not enough flights done yet but will update over weekend. Had no affect on the NGX at all. Much improved weather & a real sense of flying down into clouds. Love visability changes & flying down through fluffy cumulus, the whole thing as a much more natural feel, very close to the real thing infact Must read the manual though & set up as explained. More to follow......

I know this is going to sound silly, but i can't get the nose wheel to operate on the 737ngx . Once I land I cannot get off of the runway and I didn't recall seeing anything on how to use it in the tutorial .

:( Happy New Year all!Loving my SP1b 737NGX by PMDG! Only small issue, as stated in the title, is the N1 and Speed buttons never seem to light up when I left-click on them? Does anyone know what could be happening there? When should those buttons be able to be clicked on (and light up and remain lit)? Seems I can't do it at ANY time pre-CMD A or afterwards, with both FD's on...Anyone with an idea how I could troubleshoot or resolve, please advise? Thank youins!Robert

Hello All,i have some question about the 2D-Panel.1.) How it´s possible to release the EFIS Panel and the Throttle unit to a second monitor? With the MCP panel and other panels this is no problem.2.) Please take a look at the PMDG facebook side: you see the Navigation Display with a frame. With my PMDG the Navigation Display has a frame, too. But the other displays like Engine etc. has no frame. It´s possible to get a frame for all Displays?3.) I´m releasing eight panels to a second monitor. (MCP, RADIOS etc.). I have to release this panels every time, after reloading FSX. Saving a flight doesn´t help, too. For your information. I have tested PREPAR3D for a couple …

Hi,Anyone else have this issue? When you load up PMDG 737NGX with default configuration and are sitting at a gate or something, the 737NG is moving forward ever so slowly even if the parking break is set on. Thrust leavers are at idle. You only notice it really if you've been sitting for a while programming the FMC then look up and the gate is so much closer than it was before. If you stare out any of the windows you can tell you're moving forward pixel by pixel. If left to its own devices the aircraft would eventually crash into the gate (would take a long time but would get there eventually). Anyone?Cheers,Garry Noble

Hi everyone,I had a look on here but couldn't find this answer.Obviously there is a maximum landing weight, but is there a maximum amount of fuel you can land with? The maximum landing weight could be made up of a different balance of fuel and payload but I would think they wouldn't want to land with a lot of fuel left for safety reasons, also considering the extra expense of flying a heavy plane.Thanks.

After enjoying the NGX since the day it came out, I recently took the MD-11 for a spin and realized how bland the VC looks compared to the 737, I for one can't wait until the new 777 comes out, I bet it will even shadow the 737! PMDG has set THE standard by which all other addons will be measured by... GREAT JOB!

Hi guys,I´ve made several flight with the NGX since I got her yesterday and it´s perfect till now. But on every flight I made I had the problem that I found it very hard to slow down the plane. I´m somehow experienced with these kinds of FMC´s through flying the old ones in FS9 exesively but now i´ve come across something I don´t know any further:Every flight I made so far I had to make an go arround because every time I was way to high and too fast. I´m just back from an 700 MN hop to Juneau. I flew on FL360 and shortly before descent I resetted the MCP to 2500ft. The plane perfectly descended with 330 kts to arround 15.000ft when I took control over the speed management…

Has anyone bought this for the NGX? Your thoughts as to whether the upgrade to color (not concerned about the extra cost) ehances usability of the manual. I would really like to see a couple of pages with and without the color enhancement. Many thanks,Dave

Hi,just a quick question as I've read something in another thread which is wondering me.Until now I have thought that during the approach the flaps would be extended in this order:Flaps1: Vref40 + 70Flaps2: Vref 40 + 50Flaps5: Vref40 + 30Flaps10: Vref40 + 30Flaps15: Vref40 + 20Flaps25: Vref40 + 10Flaps30: Vref30Flaps40: Vref40but now I read this: I'm a little confused now. When do I extend the flaps now?Thanks for your answers in advanceEmanuel

Hello,I noticed something strange while i fly with PMDG b737-800 NGX,First, I read in the manual that fuel temperature should not go less than 3 degrees CelciusI was on FL360 south of France, the TAT was -36, the fuel temperature became about zero degrees Celsius or less, i was cruising on the most possible speed. When i landed, the outside temperature was 16 Celcius, but still the fuel temperature is zero or less!!I think there's some sort of fault in the fuel temperature gauge and system.Thank you for help.

It took me a while, but I finally broke down to hand over $70 for this plane. I'm speechless. The detail and dynamics of this plane are simply outstanding. The HUGS display is a great feature as well. I do have a few questions though, having only owned this plane for a few hours. First, does the altitude hold (on the auto-pilot panel) override the VNAV path? I found a few times during a KLAX-KLAS run that the plane missed it's TOD and some other crossing restrictions; however, I have a feeling it's because the altitude hold restricted it from descending further. Second, does an accidental knock of the joystick override the LNAV. A few times the LNAV popped off, probably b…

Hello, yesterday I installed the 737NGX on my system, all is working fine so far, during my flight I programmed the star, but it was not possible to remove certain lines whitin my fmc, also it was not possible to edit a waypoint with the correct speed and altitude. At a certain moment ATC give me the instruction to fly direct to a way point, so i selected the waypoint in the fmc and want to set them on the top SLK1L, but this was also inpossible, help is welcome. Cd was ordered via simmarket. uninstalled all again and did a reinstall, the problem still the same.
