Hi, just installed pmdg 737 so aint too good with it just yet howeva after trying to install a liverie i get the msg"couldn't be downloaded" i also get the same msg for any of the liveries i try to downloaddoes anyone know whats going wrong thanks

Thought i'd share this. For REX customers there's a "Free Stuff" area on the forum and Tim has added an ENB tweak download. I'm quite impressed with the results - couple of images attached. I thought i'd let people know it was there - I tried it out at Manchester in the NGX.

How can you tell if a switch on the audio panel -- like ADF1 -- is on or off? Clicking the switch changes it from on to off and vice versa, but the little arrow on the switch doesn't move and you can't tell how it's set.Tom Kent

I'm having trouble engaging autopilot on takeoff. Realistic autopilot engagement is set to "off" in preferences. Attached is a screenshot. At this point, I'm about 1,200 feet above ground level. If I click CMD A or B, I get a quick flash of green but it won't stay on.I can click HDG SEL and/or LVL CHG and they light up, but neither seems to have any effect on the aircraft (e.g., it doesn't turn -- maybe neither is supposed to work without the autopilot).I have this problem activating the A/P even after disconnecting external throttle/yoke, so I don't think yoke pressure or anything is involved (anyhow, I have realistic engagement switched off).I've read a lot of forum pos…

I love flying this bird. (800/900 series) and have a couple of questions relating to settings in the VCon my system the best view of instruments is found using a zoom of 39 but when wanting to change something on the First officers side, pressing the + or - sign takes the zoom to 30 which means I cannot read the captains instruments.I wondered whether there was any way to fix the zoom to a range from 35-39?if not is there a way of adjusting the cockpit to show more of the cockpit and a little less out of the Captains window?either solution would be great.my screen is 23" set at 2048X1152.thank you professionals out thereMel

Since the latest update on the 737NGX, I am suddenly getting problems with resuming a saved flight when using Radar Contact. The saved flight looses the flight plan and when I go to load the flight plan into the FMC, it only allows certain functions, otherwise it crashes to desktop.The update to the 737 is the only thing I have changed.Anyone else getting similar issues?Thanks for any repliesRob

help. NGX didn't have any sound effect ( including trim, brake,disengage A/P and A/T, even touchdown and so on ), there r only default sound. my NGX sounds set in FMC are all 100. in this emergency situation,i try to delete FSX.cfg、reinstall NGX progam、even reinstall FSX!!but nothing changed its still no sound. The most unbelievable is the another aircrafts r runing OK!!!!so ,is there any kind guy can tell me what happen about my dear NGX and waht can i do.................? thank u guys.

I tried looking for solutions and came across a few, but none seem to work for me. I've tried about 5 flights in the 737-900 and about 1 minute into the descent, I always get a "FATAL ERROR - FSX IS RESTARTING" problem. It's become really frustrating. I recently downloaded a couple of liveries to discover when loaded the anti collision light stays on and no amount of hitting various switches does anything. this is also the case with the logo light and the rear strobe which do not work.now the technical part:where can I find the files that replace the lights but not the textures or does the texture file impact the lighting?thanksMel

Hi,Landing, recently, in my splendid NGX on a splendid MegaAirport, being a 100ft above the runway, suddenly my fps dropped from 30 to 11 and after a few seconds the FSX freezed, so after a quick Ctrl-Alt-Del I joint my familie for diner -diner was good but my morale very bad!My question is : what kind of equipement, poeple like PMDG, Nemeth Designs or others MegaAirports "builders" have in mind writing theire programmes?Hell, I have the quickest rig, which one, having also to feed a familie, can get on the market, having don all the tricks in Cfg file and in spite of this, I have to move the sliders to the left (at least flying the NGX) to not to suffer a slide-show!Wha…

I hjave done a search but have not really found anything on this. If I missed a thread on this my apologies. In short I have a dual core laptop with the following specs:Cpu DC 2.66Ghz4Gb RAMi Gb Nvidia GT230M videoWindows 7 32 bitWindows Experience score 5.9 (Processor 6.2 and all others over 6)I know a desktop i7 would do it much better but I can't afford that right now and I need a laptop for work. My Toshiba A500 runs the 744X very well even with Orbx scenery and REX V2 loaded. Will it handle the NGX equally well? And one other thing, if I download it will I get Service Pack 1b included in the download as well?Thanks in advance for your help,Gerry

On 1:30/2:00 hr long flights I plan to fly at FL370 but when I reach around FL240 the aircraft really struggles. The aircraft isn't too heavy, I complete good fuel planning, I select 22k takeoff and climb 1 on the N1 limit page on fmc. So I've sort of ruled out the need of step climbing as I think it's really only the heavys that need to do that.Am I doing something wrong, probably in-experienced related. Can someone advise a solution so I can actually climb to a more eco FL? Thanks in advanceCraig

Hi captains,Since around a month I'm flying online on IVAO and really enjoying it a lot, I can't believe how much I've missed. Really getting skilled in everything, except flight planning. I have no problems at all contructing my route with airways, way points, and picking the right SID/STARs and transitions, I already master this. Ok, I havent run FSX for about 5 weeks or so. Last time I ran it, I flew a routine flight like always and exited the program, it has not been run since. So, yesterday I decided I was gonna get back into 737 and go for a flight. Well, I see the new update so I read over it and install it. Ok, now for the issues.The first time it loads up there is no V/C. Just bits and pieces of panel and nothing else, kinda like a skeleton of the V/C. I try several reboots, nothing. So now I just uninstall 737ngx, clean all remnants of old install and install fresh. Then I run the updates for sp1b. Load it, everything looks normal now. Hey folks,some days back when I discovered the features of the NGX I found a page in the FMC which counted the hours till the next maintenance. I recently tried to access this page again but I didn´t find it. Has anyone an idea where this page is?

Hi. Would anyone be willing to replace the "Lufthansa gray" on all of the United and Continental repaints with a more accurate gray?The RGB values for the replacement gray are:- R: 221 G: 219 B: 209The areas that need to be repainted are:- Bottom half of the fuselage (except for the chrome area)- Top and bottom of both wings- Top and bottom of both horizontal stabilizers- All six flap fairings- Lower portion of both winglets- Both of the engine nacelles and pylonsI would try to do this myself, but I do not have the financial resources for the required software, so I would greatly appreciate it if someone would do this for me. I've looked in the manuals and searched here, but have obviously failed to find this. This occurs 100nm from TOD, when I am picking up ATIS at KDEN from the west, and find that winds are favoring a different approach than I had assumed and programmed into the fms. When I enter a new approach VNAV disconnects- which I would expect as there is now a discontinuity in the LEGS page, but even when resolving the disconnect VNAV still will not connect.Perhaps I should not be programming an approach until I get either actual weather or a clearance to an approach. Hi,I have searched the forum, and I know it has been discussed before, but I haven't been able to find a good solution anywhere. My problem is, that after SP1, I'm having a G3D.dll crash sometimes. Around 1 out of 5 flights have a crash somewhere. But before I'm removing lots of stuff, changing lots of settings, etc. I would first like to know if someone knows what's causing this. I don't like reducing my settings, but if you know which setting could be causing this (like AI traffic), then please tell me.I am flying on IVAO, with sometimes high density traffic. Just wondering if I want to fly with ms atc voice how can get it to work. I tuned in the radio and was able to get clearance but when I hit the reply button it doesnt work and of coarse after 3 times it cancels your ifr plan. The only reason i want to use it is to get up quick and shoot ils apporaches with out fine tuning the fmc....somtimes im lazy what can i say......Dan

Can I install 737NGX on a desktop and a laptop as long as I'm the only user and will always be flying only one PC at a time.
