Hey guys,I´ve just made my flight back from Denver to Portland on a 737-900WL. It was pretty the same routing as the one before from Portland to Denver. I configured the plane correctly but it gave me an optimum flight level of only FL375 whereas I flew the other one at FL380. When I attempted to put in FL380 as cruise flight level, it refused and said that it´s unarchievable. But we had an cruise flight of arround 650 MN, so why isn´t it archievale?Would these additional 1000ft make a that big difference in economy?Can someone clear that up?

On takeoff while accelerating through approx 100 kias the nd displays wind speed and direction. I know the manual says it will display when true airspeed is greater than 100 kts. But how is wind speed and direction determined while still on the ground?

Hello PMDG,I'm not a very experienced 737NG flier, so the 1st tutorial wasn't really useful to me, because it didn't take me from cold & dark all the way to shutdown. Instead the cold & dark startup procedure was being skipped. That's why the advanced tutorial 2 would be useful to me. But when is it coming? I downloaded SP1b with no problem other than the "Livery Manager". I am able to create a new 'Livery', but not able to replace one that had already previously existed. Previously I had a SWA -800 WL 'Canyon Blue'. After downloading SP1b, I downloaded the same SWA. But trying to install in the 'Livery' I keep getting this message: Texture Folder Already Exists/Please Enter a New Texture Folder Below. //TEXTURE.WN. I cannot get past this point--- Of note : The new 'Livery Manager' is suppose to be vs 1.09. Mine appears to be the original. ---I downloaded a Continental with no problem. --Thanks ahead--Bob

Hello there. I have found that when lowering the landing gear on a manual approach, the throttle increases to about 30% N1 when idled. Yes, auto throttle is off, and it won't reduce any more. It has nothing to do with the Anti - Ice as it was switched off. Could it be something to do with the Landing Gear down alert siren, as it went on before I lowered the gear?Thanks, as this is really messing up my landings.

Hey guys,Just wondering if PMDG have any plans to include some little extras for the virtual cockpit, like charts attached to the clip boards next to the Captain and F/O seats, papers tucked into the pocket above the MCP or pens in the holders on the captain's window pillar; just eye candy to make the aircraft look more active.Cheers,

Does anybody else have this problem and have a fix for it? As you can see in the screenshots my 738 has the southwest logo on the ground unit but my 737 is just a black censored looking texture its a minor issue but has anybody else seen this? thanks for your helpMichael

Hello fellow simmers... AND....repainters :smile:A livery in Maersk Air´s old colors as in this picture would be much appreciated. The company is unfortunately not existing anymore, but my father worked for this company for more than thirty years, from the early 70´ to 2005 I think. I went to work with him a lot of times, day and night shifts from when I was 10 years till I was 18..or 19... yes.... I was spoiled :( .... So...it could be great fun, for me and my own son...and my sisters son as well, if we could jump back into the "good old Maersk Air days" with PMDG´s NGX 737-700. :( Jesper

Good afternoon all.I've been flying around in the NGX since the release of this addon, and I'm very satisfied and impressed.What I'm missing thought is the pre-flight ops, or load control to be more excact. It's more fun to do the load sheet manualy. :-)What I would like:- a generated report of DOW, D.O.I etc, from the selected configuration, aswell as an empty load sheet.- See/change the load in different compartments (1-4)- See/change the pax distribution in the sections.- Should be able to select different seat layouts. Many airlines use Y186 or Y189.Is there any chance for us to see this in the future of NGX?

I recently set up FSX on my new computer and I started experiencing the following problem. After a few hours FSX is not responding and when I close it and restart the flight it does the same thing but this time it stop responding a few mintues after loading at the gate. I run PMDG 737NGX, REX2 + overdive and squawkbox 4. I'm not sure if this problem is PMDG related or FSX related, I would greatly appreciate any help in solving this problem.

Hi,I purchased the 737-800/900ngx when it came out. I just purchased the package for the 600.700 FSX this evening. I can not for the life of my get the engines to start. I start with a cold and dark, turn the batteries on, fire up the APU and get APU egt rise, the blue light on the electrical bus comes on, BUT, i can not select it to get power.Any ideas? I have flown hundreds of hours on the 800 so don't think I am missing anything.....

Pretty pretty please PMDG....Could we have a simple model that delivers stairs to the rear door when opened, or otherwise selectable in the CDU menu? I see so many screenshots of a beautiful 737 parked at the gate with the jetway extended and a rear door open (because it's usually how that airline disembark at that airport for a quicker turn around) and no stairs there to greet the guests as they disembark.I imagine this would be a fairly simple task for someone with the know how.Kindest Regards,GregPS: Anyone who would also like to see this, post here. :)

I fly a very ecclectic group of aircraft and have tried to setup almost everything through FSUIPC given the wide variety of configurations (Single engine pistons, 2 engine piston/turbo regionals, 2-4 engine commerical jets, 4 engine turbo props and so fourth).I know that FSUIPC is not recommended by PMDG, however I also know many use it with success. I personally am able to use FSUIPC as long as I only assign axes through it, but do not calibrate my throttle axes (flaps, spoilers, gear, etc work fine).The problem for me with this is that I am unable to sync the throttle positions through FSUIPC. Flying on VATSIM lst night, the controller did not clear me for a decent before reaching TOD. Just after passsing TOD, I noticed the FMC controlled airspeed dropping. I let it drop to about 250 and then went FLCH to keep the speed up.My question is what was happening? Why was the FMC reducing speed after passing TOD?

Happy 2012 everyone! I was remembering the days when fuel prices didn't matter, and some airlines like Eastern and American used reverse thrust for pushback. I tried simulating it on the NGX, but the airplane won't move backward with full reverse applied on the ground. Does this reflect reality? I did a night flight from Miami to Providenciales last night, and for not looking at the airport chart ahead of time, I turned my aircraft into the fire station after completing my touchdown roll :-) There was not room to maneuver, so I just cheated with a SHIFT+PJust curiousP.S. this week marks five full months of not being able to go back to any of my other payware aircraft …
