Hi guys!Have been trying to find a key command for operating the Transponder switch since I always find it a little bit tricky while you're busy entering/vacating the runway but haven't found any not in the FMC options in the NGX nor in FSX itself. I did find a command in FSX called 'Transponder (select)' mapped to the 'T' key by default but that one didn't do anything to the transponder switch in the NGX.Isn't there any way you can control this switch in the NGX using a key command or did I simply overlook it?

Hi!I have a very new computer (see sig.). When I use FSX with the NGX at airports like EDDF from Aerosoft, I get only 12-14 fps averaged. I used Bojotes Tweaking tool for my FSX.cfg.The FSX-sliders are mid to high set. Shouldn´t I actually get much better FPS (20) ?Have you any hints or tips for getting better frames in FSX?Cheers

Hi Guys,this happens only for me with saved flight.If I load her up and do a quick setup of the FMC everything works fine...meaning I am able to select VNAV on the ground and it won't disconnect when I press the the TOGA button;If I save the same flight and try it again I will get a VNAV disconnect when I press the TOGA button. Why is that? It can't be me doing something wrong...it work fine if I'm not using saved situations!

Hi guys ,first of all sorry for my english :) anyway ;3 days ago i format my hdd and made a clean win7 install. I installed Fsx and add-ons ( see my sig ) and programs. While installing updates , i realised there are too many c++ stuff .Both 32 bit and 64 bit version were installed. For example , c++ 2008 x86 version .17 and .4148 version were installed at the same time so i decided to remove some of them. First i removed old versions and then 32 bit versions. I knew it was risky but enough with low fps !Lucky for me my fps increased from 10-22 to 18-32 . I don't know if this will work for you guys but just let you know .ThanksEmir

Hello all,First of all. I have my start-up state as the NGX LONG. I hope that isn't the problem... But I can't seem to save the last panel state. For instance, last night I succesfully saved my flight while on the ground at KAUS. After preparing my next flight, I decided to call it a night. But before doing so I saved my panel state and named it "Previous" Likewise in FSX I saved the flight as "Last" (as FSX had a default file for "Previous") and I didn't want to confuse the two. Goodthing I did because when I awakened this morning my pc had mistyeriously shut down. Once I got FSX reloaded with the "Last" flight I thought every thing was fine, however, when I went to look…

Some of you may recall in the past that I have been politely vitriolic in my condemnation of PMDG and the simconnect flooding issue in relation to my Aivlasoft EFB installation. In short the problem seemed to be that the NGX was causing an issue and preventing aircraft data to be pushed via simconnect to the display unit of EFB.I have spent several weeks trying to get to the bottom of this problem in conversations with the developers of EFB and others.I had a flash of inspiration and found the solution last night.First I have to publicly apologise to Mr Randazzo and the team at PMDG, when I get it wrong I will stand up and say so. Tonight I took the NGX ut for a flight, after a month of flying only the MD-11....With a few friends also on the NGX we flew to MHTG.....it all started well enough....except when I was taxying for departure I noticed on external view, that the fan blades on either engine were NOT turning!Anyway, climbed to cruise, and I was discussing arrival data when I noticed my aircraft did a very abrupt turn to the left, and continued to perform a barrel roll!!! when it righted itself up again, autopilot was still connected, and it climbed back up to cruise level and resumed the flight....When we performed the RNAV 02 approach, I took manual control by pressing on Autopilot disconne…

Hi,I am interested in how RW pilots and the other simmers are coping with the situation when idle N1 rates are increased using anti-ice systems.What i do generally is, if icing situations are expected before the descent, i start my decend about 20 nm before i reach TOD point. And when i engage anti-ice, i catch my planned vertical profile later due to slow vertical speed because of high N1 rate.If icing conditions are unexpected, then there is no way but to use speedbrakes to keep the speed from increasing while maintaining the same vertical speed.Do you know how in RW descent planning is done when using anti-ice?Best regards,

Hi Captainscan you please verify this:Default Transition Altitude is not saved / loaded when set in FMC/MENU/SETUP/ Save StatesI prepared my aircraft for COLD and DARK also setting the Default Transition Altitude to 5000ft.When loading its back to 18000ft, rest of the setup is fine.I remember this working prior SP1B.I am not in front of my NGX right now, but there's two entries for the Default TA, one for departure and arrival, if i recall that correct.Why?Oliver Kohl

So, I'm just curious why the 800/900 was released first instead of the 600/700 like the original versions in FS9. For me, I would have liked to have a choice of which pair I want, then pay for the other if I want an expansion. 90% of my 737 flying is on the -700, then the -600 (due to the fleets I use). With the original release, I did get the 800/900 package, but rarely used those products. I don't like the idea of throwing a whopping $70, then another $25 just so I can get the more common models. Ok, I've been practicing visual approaches and manual landings for awhile now. After calibrating and tweaking the CH yoke and pedals, practicing, kicking off autopilot at 1000 agl and autothrottle at 200 agl, I'm averaging 150-200 fpm touchdowns (or about 2.5-3 fps). How am I doing? What is a good real world touch down rate? I know this is not greasing the landings but are these teeth rattlers.Thanks,Doug Wilson

Short flight from Melbourne to Adelaide tonight in the NGX800. Great framerates etc but on approach I could not disengage the Auto throttle nor reduce the speed in the MCP window. Autopilot would not disengage either although in the VC it was clearly in the "off" position. Next thing I got was an OOM. Is the panel freeze a symptom of dwindling available memory or is there another explanation?Gerry

Hi everyone! I have a problem. I can't figure out how to restart the engines in flight! Not after engine failure or anything, let's say I just shut down one engine in flight I can't get it to start. I follow QRH. EGT Below 0, N2 - 0 and no changes. Starter levers to idle and I engine failure displays. Can you guys help?Roman.

Hello,I have a problem with my fuel temprature gauge. It simply shows that the fuel temrature is -60° (the needle is just completly at the left hand side).If the fuel temprature would be that could I would have serious problems, but the face that nothing happens because of that is strange. Also I've checked the gauge on the ground when the fuel was just loaded and it indicates the same temptrature. So I think this gauge is broken, but when looking in the FMC it shows that no failures are active.I have set everytjhing up normally on my flights, according to the FCOMs. It's strange and I have no idea where the problem is.Is anybody else experienceing this issue or knows a s…

Hello!I was wondering about the Cabin Layout, specifically for the Transavia 737-800. The livery page of PMDG denotes that this livery is fully accurate airline options. But when looking at the maxium number of pax in the payload menu it says 174, while in reality the Transavia 738 carries up to 186 passengers.Is there any way this will be altered in the future?Regards,
