I just bought the saitek pro flight yoke + thrpttle quadrant. Pretty nice combination, especially for someone who survived years with the mouse. Everything works except reverse thrust: if i go in the red reverse-zone with the throttle, reverse won't engage, engines will just sit in idle. How can i fix this?

Still trying to figure out why I can't download my 737NGX American AIrlines or the Delta -800WL to my computer. I have a question: Was the Aircraft folder in FSX replaced by the SimObjects folder. The reason I'm asking is that I no longer have an Aircraft folder. My string reads: AppData>Roaming>Microsoft>FSX>SimObjects. Can anyone help me with this one?Regards,jen noulet

Is it possible to have the NGX in 2 different directories. My downloaded version is in the default directory of C:\program files (86)\Microsoft Games\ etc. etc. Can I also download it into C:|FSX directory as it states in the PMDG Introduction section of the software download. I just discovered this directory after reading it in the download but the software was already positioned in the default directory.Regards,jen noulet

Hi there all,Running a flight last night from YMAV-YPDN at FL240. I was very heavy with fuel and cargo (34K fuel and pretty much full up with cargo) so I kept the flight a low as I thought I could get away with.At around 1-2 hours in, I was encountering 70KT headwind with about a 6-8KT crosswind component.and NGX started doing all sorts of shenanigans. It would pitch up and down at least 50 feet at a time, and It was rolling around like a fish at one point. I'm having an issue that has just developed sine the latest SP and it pertains to the Navigation Display Unit specifically the ETA of arrival at next active waypoint indicator. It's the reading in the top right corner of the NDU and looks like 0205.0z and it sits right above your ground speed readout. Just recently mine started spinning after IRS alignment for a lack of a better word. The numbers just keep spinning in ascending order and then repeats itself. I wish I knew how to upload a video of it to help explain. Then when you go to the FMC and go to the PROG page your ETAs on all legs do the same thing, just spins like a slot machine but doesn't stop. I have re-…

Hey guys and gal, Just wanted to show you my first NGX paint. From all the discussion on paint kit problems, I chose to do the 900, since it seems to have more questions. The video tutorial I'm working on will be focusing on doing a "fictional" paint since they are much more complex and allow me to show everything one can do (or everything I know of anyway). This paint has several exaggerated aspects of it for the purpose of explanation during the tutorial. Today I completed a tribute trip with the NGX from Saigon to San Antonio via Tokyo, Honolulu, and San Francisco. This is the exact trip my father took on this date in 1967 while returning from Vietnam, as a member of the US Air Force. Hi Everyone,Hoping someone might be able to give me a bit of advice. I've recently come across a strange problem particularly with the -700 where after takeoff and on the climb out to cruise (say FL380) and after transition altitude the rate of climb becomes very slow and often the FMC will calculate a T/C distance of well over 200nm. My flights typically range from between 400-600nm to the destination and a climb rate this low will typically either a. only leave me with a very short distance to T/D or b. for a shorter range flight may not even be able to reach cruise altitude.This also happens regardless of the CI that I use but my typical values are between 60 and eight…

On a fairly steep VNAV descent with about a 20kt tailwind I experienced a lot of rocking of the nose back and forth a few degrees, known as porpoising. Speed was about 270kts however the rate of descent was about -4000 (not my choice, stupid ATC instruction). I found the same happening as I was experimenting with the flight controls and flying the aircraft for my own amusement at 210kts and 1000ft AMSL over the ocean. Nose up, nose down, nose up, nose down.... All under AP. Anyone else had this?

Boeing have announced, in their latest press conference that fourth quarter sales for 2011, of their 737 fleet, have plunged. Mr. W. James McNerney, CEO, said, "The decline in sales is due to the August 2011 release of PMDG's 737NGX. Who's gonna pay $80m for one of our planes, when you can buy theirs for just $70, and its almost as good." :(

Hey guys,Long time reader - first time poster. I have found this forum to be a wealth of knowledge.I have a little question regarding the MCP, specifically the LED indicating the selected speed. Sometimes when dialing in a lower speed I see a flashing 'A' in front of my speed. I have ran through the manuals, but can't seem to find reference to it. I don't doubt that it is in the manuals however I am having trouble searching as I have no clue how to describe it other than as I have done above. I assume it is a warning that I have dialed in a speed below stall speed, or that is risking a stall, however am not sure.Any insight would be appreciated.Apologies if this has been …

Pmdg please helpWhen I load the 737ngx SP1 and choose 2d cockpit the viewing angle and zoom is completely wrong.It's automatically loading with maximum zoom in setting so all you can see on the ground from 2d cockpit is the runway.Please tell me what zoom and viewing angle pmdg designed the 737ngx to be used with so i can fly with the cockpit view as it was intended.Many thanks

First of all,I'm just a junior school student from China.My English is not well,and maybe there are some spelling mistakes or grammar's.Hope you understand.First,When I used NGX,I found that it couldn't taxi at IDLE.It must used about 22% or 23% to maintain speed.In fact,it only need IDLE to taxi in the real world.Second,when I turned off the runway after a nice landing,I found spoiler couldn't get down by itself.Why the spoiler must get down manually when I increasing power?Don't laugh at me because of my bad English,thanks.

Hey guys, it's Alex!I have the latest Beta version of FSRecorder and have the latest service pack for the NGX. Evertime I record the NGX pushing back, taxiing, cruising, taking off, after recording it and playing the recording back the aircraft seems to have engines shutdown and basically almost a cold and dark aircraft. Even when recording a push-back and engine start I play the recording back and the aircraft moves but none of the switches turn on or off like I recorded and the engines don't start up and barely any of the systems in the whole aircraft operate normally during playback. Also when ending the playback the aircraft goes into a cold and dark stage just like i…

Current flight plan is KPHL-KMIA. I use FSBuild2 to create the plan and both PMDG and FSBuild have tha latest update from Navigraph. Once I enter the plan in the 737 FMS I see a message that reads the arrival runway is not in the RTE file. It is speaking about runway 30. If i check the Arrival page for KMIA - ILS30 is not listed. Does anyone have a clue why ?Thanks

Hi,After installing Bojote's Shader 3.0 mod, I decided to uninstall it again, because the water animation was static (using REX OD "Orderly" water animation). And I dunno how I can change it. I know I have to tweak the WaterConstants.xml file in my FSX root folder but I dunno what I should change. Well, the readme said, that when you uninstall the Shader 3.0 mod, that everything will be reset to default again (so back to Shader 2.0). So I uninstalled it, and FSX was ###### entirely.
