Hi there,I have PM'd Ryan and he very kindly said he'd reset my password, but I still cannot log into the support portal to open a support ticket. i don't want to keep pestering Ryan; can somebody from PMDG please contact me and tell me how to open a ticket if I can't log into the support portal?!It is not sending out the lost u/p email, as we can see all inbound emails to our domain, and have been checkibg since early in the week and none have come..Please help! Hey everybody,I have been having problems lately with my sim involving textures loading and some minor frame rate issues. I believe my specs are easily capable enough of running the NGX without a problem for 1. It has been not too bad in recent times, and 2. I have seen people with lower specs performing just as well with their sim. My first issue is lately I have been doing flights where the loading of the textures has been good at the start of the flight but then on arrival the loading of the textures runs into a brick wall (cockpit covered in grey, blurries, livery textures, the whole thing)It seems as the flight goes on my texture loading processes on the sim get slow…

Hello all,I'm currently running XP Pro but planning to upgrade to W7 64 bit system in about 2 months. Is there anything I need to do in advance in order to facilitate a smooth re install? I don't think I can install W7 'over the top' of XP so will probably be wiping the slate clean. Ed Burton

I'd like to enter way fix/waypoint (?) that maintains runway heading until like say 600' then to say heading 352° and onto vectors or first SID waypoint.I've searched for days, I may not be using proper terminology hence not finding what I'm looking for.If anyone can please help; let me know if its possible, how to do it...Thanks in advance!

After pushback/start engines, at idle N1 is appoximately 22%, the A/C does not move. At about 24% N1, the A/C wants to REALLY move so it does not seem to behave like a heavy A/C. All Realism sliders are at 100% per the Introduction manual. Is there anything else that can be done to have the acceleration during taxi be more like a heavy A/C ? The question is regarding acceleration and taxi speed at ~24% N1 NOT about braking (works fine). Thanks,Zach

Departing La Paz, which is at 13,000 feet MSL, the V1 is still calculated to be around 140 knots with a full load and 1/3 fuel. There's no way I'd stop the jet if something went wrong at 140 knots at that aiport. At VR you're pretty much on the other piano keys... Am I missing a spot on the FMC?

It's been a while since I tried my NGX but now it acts kinda strange when I use the rudder on take off the airplane rolls to the direction i'm using the rudder at.Is this normal while trying to maintain center line, it feels like i'm doing dutch rolls on the runway. I have PFC rudder and I'm using TrackIR EZDOK camera.Evan Banalian.

Flying the NGX yesterday and had an engine failure above some thick weather below me. Secured the #2 engine and started a descent for an emergency landing. As I was descending through the clouds I flipped on the Anti Ice and realised that it was for nothing, as FSX does not simulate an acurate acumulation rate of structural icing and that there was really no consequence for flying through it.My question...Is it possible to seperately code the effects of structural icing on a aircraft addon since FSX does a horrible job at it?If so, would PMDG consider this for any past, present or future addons? I uninstalled the plane, then reinstalled the original download plus only added SP1b. I cleaned out the multiple instances of C++ runtime modules and kept only the x64 bit versions of C++ 2005, 2008 and 2010, and limited each to ONE runtime for each of the three years. This made a huge difference in my performance and frames. Having bunches of C++ runtimes and different flavors (x86 and x64) seemed in my non-scientific mind, to pose potential for conflicts (which one would take precedence)? So by limiting to the 'most current' runtime for each of the 3 years (05, 08 and 10), my perception (which may not be YOUR reality) was things got a LOT better.I have read posts by…

Well, I am now at that point in my NGX virtual career where things are starting to get interesting, by that I mean things and terminologies are all starting to make sense. So flying the big boys with SIDS and STARS is very exciting for me. Although I prefer to use a SID and then get vectored by ATC for arrivals, as I find this more 'hands on' and interesting, I am nevertheless confused about a short flight I did yesterday. I went into RouteFinder and entered the departure which was Manchester and arrival the airport Bristol. Hi Ryan,If I remember correctly, when the NGX was released, we were told that not all repaints have been made/released. Is this still the case, can we expect some more ? Hi,My system was pretty much on top of the notch, except for my graphics card (and my HDD which I'm also gonna upgrade "soon"). After having decided for weeks that I was gonna buy the GTX 580, I made a last minute change after reading a post from Ryan saying that anything from the GTX 560TI to the GTX 580 will perform pretty much equally in FSX. So, I decided that I was gonna buy a cheaper graphics card. I found the GTX 560TI a little too "low-end" (maybe not for FSX but for other games). Two questions.1) How to read the terrain numbers. Example I have Peaks Mode on and the nearest terrain has numbers in green.109000I am at FL380. So how do I read that. Explain 109 and 000?2) Does the NGX model showing the Terrain elevations in the VSD? If it does how do you switch to that view?

Hey Pmdg Moderators I just bought the expansion pack and installed service pack 1b for it, now i am expercing a bit of a problem i when i take off i cant seem to turn on my autopilot.. why is this so? what do u recommened me to do? the light on the autopilot switch goes green for a sec and goes back off. please help me out with this thanks.

Just recently I've been having an intermittent problem when loading my 737. I start FSX and in the "Free Flight" panel I select a 737 variant and an airport. When I start the flight, the airport and exterior model load fine but the VC has all panels dark but otherwise looking normal. The green bar with the countdown does not appear. When the cursor is placed over a switch or knob, it changes to the hand but clicking has no affect. The sound in the cockpit starts silent but the normal hum starts up after a few seconds as usual. TODAY I DECIDED TO TRY MY 737NGX OUT AS PER MANUAL SETTING UP EGKK TO EHAM PLANE SITTING 08R LONDON GATWICK!! START PROGRAMMING THE FLIGHT COMPUTER WITH THE BRAKES ALREADY APPLIED AND THE PLANE JUST THROTTLES UP AND WANTS TO TAKE OFF.I HAVE LOOKED AT THE AUTOPILOT SWITCHES AND NONE ARE ON AUTO!! I tend to fly from the 2d cockpit with the left CDU open on a second monitor. However this morning I was unable to open the left CDU. I tried the clickspot in the 2d panel, I tried the zoom clickrpot in VC, nothing. So i flew with the right CDU open but of course was unable to step through my flight plan (well I could have from the FO's seat but too much hassle)Does anybody have a suggestion how to get my CDU back ?

Hi all!I have two questions regarding aural warnings in the NGX:1) I noticed that when the master caution light is triggered that there is no aural warning like in the 747, 767. Is this a bug or as intended by Boeing?2) Secondly, the "ping"-sounds when a message appears on the FMC are not always audible. Sometimes they work, but mostly not. Anyone else having this issue?I have the NGX box version (with SP1b), installed on Win7 64bit with FSX Accel. So far, I didn't have any problems with missing sounds on other addons so far (except for the CS767, but which was fixed with the latest SP).Thanks,Tom

Expectations are deservedly sky-high with NGX, so I am dutifully stepping through Tom Risager's excellent tutorial checklist. Came to the bit about the battery discharge light and also checked in the operating manual: essentially "excessive" battery discharge will bring on the amber warning light. So I tried a ground experiment: Ground power on and selected Landing lights and other electrical services on Switched off ground power and observed increased battery drain on the DC meter - but no discharge warning light Went into FS Actions and disconnected ground power - and now the discharge warning light comes on. Hello!I searched for the problem I have, but I didn't find a topic.Here's my problem: sometimes during take off roll the engine #2 looses power and goes back to idle. It happens usualy approximately 10 secs before v1. A/T is on, TO/GA is active, FMC is setup correctly. No failures are active, no warnings in the cockpit. With a small movement on the thrustlever I can "restore" the take off thrust. I use the saitek yoke system but had the same problem with my old logitek joystick.Has anybody a similar issue?
