PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

Hello, I have very weird issue that has been bugging me for the last few weeks on every single NGX flight I have done in the dark. Especially this time of the year a lot of my flying happens in the dark so it's there for almost every flight. My main panel light (CAPT) side goes partly blank after around 45-50 minutes of flying even though I don't touch the switch or touch anything in the sim at all. Some parts of the light keeps illuminated while some parts doesn't. Very weird issue. Here is few pictures about it to give better explanation. All lights working as expected. Hi All, Very recently I have been flying the 737-800NGX alot and I have found it quite hard to actually slow the aircraft down on the descent. Sometimes on the approach, established on the ILS, I would be sometimes coming in at 200-210 kts, and even have the speedbrake extended fully and it 'slowly' slows down but not enough. I don't like putting the speedbrake in because it doesn't feel realistic to have it extended all the way down the Glideslope but to slow the aircraft down I have to! :( The other day I had to go-around because I was going to fast on the approach. Hi, I am looking to have the 737 start up at the gate with Avionics on, but engines off. I noticed I can do this by going into the FMC, and loading a "Short Haul" cockpit. With this selection it places my 737 at my desired airport at the gate, doors open, parking brake on and engines off. I can close all the doors, I can start the engines, but I cannot disengage the parking brake. Is there a bug in the system or am I missing a step somewhere. To disengage the parking brake, I can use my goflight module, or press CTL +, or toggle the parking brake lever on the PMDG throttle quadrant. I have noticed that for approaches to some CAT III equipped runways, such as 7R at Fairbanks, I can't seem to enable both AP to facilitate a CAT III landing. Enabling the second AP simply makes the other AP disable itself. This happens both with just a localizer lock, and also with both localizer and GS captured. Otherwise, the plane is fully configured for landing. What would cause this? Joe N

Just noticed that the brake temp indicated in the status page seems to stay at 0, even immediately after a #2 autobrake landing. Just wondering if the brake temp is modeled in the current version of the 737.

I am just curious, if there is some setting on Steve's DX10 Fixer that will allow it to work, or I will just have to go back to DX9? Patrick Boynton

I decided to return to FSX Gold with Acceration update from P3D. So I went to PMDG and redownloaded several airplane (737NGX, 777-200, BA-4100). I then used the key specified with the file download, but to no avail on any of the aircraft. I'm sure key issues have been addressed, but I don't know how to topic search the forum Anyways, thank you for any help. J D Hillman

Hello, I'm sure this probably has been asked before. I've recently switched from FSX to P3Dv4.1 after a long break from simming. I own the NGX for FSX. I was wondering if there are any discounts when purchasing the NGX for P3D when you already own a copy for FSX. If so, what is the process? Thank you for your help!

I know this is a dumb question but I'm new to the 737 NGX and I'm in able to use the VNAV. I've tryed every thing and I can only get the LNAV working.

Hi, due to a complete PC reinstall last week, I had to reinstall P3D V4 and also the 737 NGX. I'm getting an error on activation for the NGX however: ERROR: unable to activate communications. 1) Yes I'm sure I'm trying to activate with my correct licence key and not my order id 2) Yes I have tried with completely disabling my firewall 3) Yes my computer has no issues connecting to the Internet and the PMDG website 4) Yes both P3D V4 and the PMDG 737 NGX was installed with right-click "run as administrator" 5) Yes P3D V4 is also being run "as administrator" That's all I can think of right now for troubleshooting so any help would be …

Anybody have any idea why this happened? 1) VNAV and LNAV selected but AP off. 2) Engage AP, disengage LNAV and engage HDG. 3) A/C tries to maintain hdg 300 for a while in winds. 4) I tweak HDG to 299 and it goes into a heavy bank left. I dont know what going on latley but last 3 Flight ive done VNAV will not engage but LNAV will, ive done everything the same each time.. How do i trouble shoot this?

Last night I had access to the surface control display on the lower EICAS via a button in the picture linked below; now I can't find it ANYWHERE, tried looking through every page in the FMC Setup and tried opening every livery I have to no avail. Flying this since it came out i've never had this happen , when i started the APU it stayed on low pressure for a long long time and i couldn't figure out what was going. but then i was in Yellow knife and it was 36 below active sky next, so i figured this might be the reason cause if it is this is pretty impressive when wont start cause its too cold

I have entered an incorrect approach for a landing at RJTT. But after having selected the wrong approach in the FMS DEP/APP screen, I can't select another approach. I also cannot delete any approach waypoints. So I guess my question is; what is the proper way to delete an existing approach, and replace it with another selection from the FMS DEP/APP pages? Joe

I want to load up the saved flight scenario for Tutorial 2 as per the instructions on Page 11 of the tutorial. However, the flight does not appear in the list of scenarios in P3D. When I look in the My Documents\Prepar3d v4 Files folder, there are no NGX FLT or WX files. When I look in the PMDG\737NGX\Panel State folder in the main sim folder, there are a load of files related to the tutorial as stated on Page 177, from different stages of the tutorial as stated, before approach, pushback, takeoff etc. FMC, sav, and rte files. Dear flight friends, Started using the ngx a few weeks back and I am trying the tutorial 1 flight. The problem is however that after putting in al the settings and variables there are no values in the predicted legs section. No altitudes only dashed lines.... I have been searching for this problem and tried several things. -Updated airac cycle and tried a few different ones. - set p3d time to match the airac cycle - reloaded the ngx - restarted p3d v4.1 - started tutorial 1 from the beginning again but same problem. Hallo, I start with "cold and dark" Option" I Switch battery on and Attach ground power. In The book written by Tim Rommen I should in following steps turn both Switches on the IRS-Panel to NAV and have to enter the current Position via CDU. But the right CPU is dark so I can not use it and get a peep-tone unitil I turn the right Switch to OFF again. Please for tips for reasons.

Hello, Somehow there is no difference in brightness if I use dome light in DIM mode or in BRIGHT mode. In DIM mode I think it's still too bright. Is there any way to change that? There should be a difference in brightness, right? Using P3Dv4. Under circumstances which I do not know are 3D views freezing after some time and you cannot move or zoom the view any more (using the space bar). Also Key "P" for pause or end pause ist not recognized any more. But 2D-views are still working. Thanks for some info.

So is there any way pull an offset value for a valve in transit? For instance 0x645C - FUEL_CrossFeedSw only returns a 0 or a 1. In reality when you move the valve, you notice the "Valve Open" indicator is bright and then normal when the valve movement is complete. I cant seem to find any values related to this to pull externally.
