PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

I'm running Active sky next and to make it more real on the DES page it says "forecast " so let's say I'm landing at Calgary --CYYC - In Active Sky it will show the weather at different altitudes , i'm sticking in the winds at Level 240 -18000 and sometimes- 9000 or maybe- 3000 feet . Are you guys basically using this and how is it simulated? just curious . Guys ask me on team speak "is this the only jet you have" ? and i reply "yes cause i fly this thing like an 'ol lady why the heck would i buy anything else "? my kid is a captain on one of these and if he's walk in and see me fly this thing he's shut my computer off and tell me to get an other hobby . Hello, once i have selected an SID with the correct runway, its not possible to change it again. Its only possible to change the rwy selected but the system will not change the settings at all. Does anyone suffers the same problem or is the bug already known? Best wishes

Hi Just installed FSX PMDG 737 NGX and started tutorial 1. I've meet a recuring problem that I have with my FSX. Everything seems OK when preparing a flight (or even in flight) and then occasionally, the sim' stops me selecting different views with a click of my joystick. It happened again as I was going through tutorial 1, where some time is spent setting things up. It just seems to freeze up and the only way out is to close FSX. I know it's not a PMGD problem but I'm having no luck looking for a solution. Can anyone help me? Thanks. Ray

Hi all. I am using PMDG 737NG with FSX SE. I'm using PMDG as a procedure trainer (don't have rudder pedals) and I'd like to practice some V1 cuts without rudder. Even with autorudder on the sim still produces plenty of yaw with each engine failure. Is there any way to adjust the settings such that the sim automatically compensates for yaw? Cheers

Hello! I have looked everywhere, watched every youtube video and i cant still cant get weather radar to work. I use Active Sky 2016. Couple of weeks ago it worked but now it wont anymore. Anybody have a clue?

Just installed the NGX in P3Dv4 and after installation I can't find the Operations Center app nor any shortcuts to PMDG under the start menu. The NGX installed just fine though and I was able to activate and load it starting P3Dv4 and I did have the Operations Center on the screen during the installation of the NGX. I already tried repairing the installation via the Control Panel but to no avail...still no OC nor any PMDG shortcuts in sight. Any ideas? I'm on Win 10 Pro 1703.

All, Newbie here. So, on my front view using 2d panel, when I look left and right, my front view changes and I'm looking down at the runway. Basically, the front view zooms in a bit. Any solution to have PMDG stop zooming my front view? I'm pretty certain this is not a Prepar3d 4.2 feature. Tim

Dear all, having finally resolved all my issues with the initial installation of P3d and NGX I am no happelly flying around in P3D. However I tried to shut an engine Down inflight and nothing really happens. The engine shuts Down but no Real Yaw. I remember in FSX with the “old” PMDG i used i 2007 ish it was Way more like the Real thing. But in P3d nothing like the Real thing. It just climbs slower on One vs two Engines. Its supposed to Roll quite violent towards the Dead engine requirering instant rudder input to stay in control. But not i P3d but in the “old” days i remember it behaved correctly under FSX. I dont have autorudder on. I fly with 4.1 and 73…

As a new member, I know I am required to set up a forum signature. When I click on the link in this post for simplified instructions, I get the message "File not found". Is there anywhere else that I can instructions on how to set up a signature?

I finally got the 4.2 update installed via the OC. The PMDG 736 aircraft comes up OK with flight deck alive, then the trouble starts. Each time I try an action the loading circle runs, then the action happens, but the same thing after every action. In outside view the hatswitch does the same, and I watched an AI aircraft take 15 minutes of stops and starts to taxi to the runway (default EGNM). Is this an underlying 4.2 problem forcing this constant loading delay, or is it the PMDG update. I will soon need to return to 4.1 unless there is a workaround.

Flew down to Florida few days ago. Flying the 737 I have been taking note of how the pilot(s) fly on take off and landing. I guess the winds flying into Fort Myers on Monday were pretty strong, as the pilot had the speed brakes extended on descent for a good 4 minutes +, and even with flaps 5 (or 10?) on approach still having them extended out. First time we used RWY 10 in all the years I have been coming down here. In the sim, I find some flights I have been extended the speed brakes for quite some time as well. Kind of neat to see it done on a real flight.

I have a strange problem. When I move on my X52 in the 737 the hat switch down it turns the view 180 degrees and I see the back rest of the pilot seat. It only happens in the 737 and not in the 747 or 777 from PMDG. There the view moves down toward the throttle quadrant for example. Does anyone have an idea on how I can fix this because I love to fly the 737 more. Thanks Bernd

Howdy Captains, I'm probably going to be installing a new hard drive and OS tomorrow when I upgrade my cpu/mobo. Will I have any trouble activating the NGX when I do? I will also be installing the 777 as well, so would the same answer apply to both? Thanks, John Lynch

Hey mates, could someone please share their Panel/airline specific configurations? I just installed the NGX again after some years not using them and now being back with P3D. So I do not have any configs saved from my last time and can not find some on the internet. And to be honest...I'm a bit to stupid and do not know what several airlines have in their planes. Could some guys may share their files, specially for European Airlines. That would be wonderful :)

HiIs it possible to completely reset the FMC in the 737 ngx? Because if you really mess up a flightplan, it is often quicker to start again from scratch than deleting all the different waypoints etc.

I am not sure if this is normal but here is what is happening, in the FMC when i select a runway for departure (on the right side of the display) and then a STAR (on the left side) I get stuck with that STAR and if i decide i want another STAR (still available in the menu of all possible STARs for that runway) I can't seem to change it. Is it me or else?

Howdy my PMDG friends, I've been doing some text flights in the ngx and v 4.2, and I've noticed that the ac wobbles/rocks at cruising altitude if I have time acceleration set beyond 2x. It's a consistent issue (I thought it was turbulence at first), and it's something that I didn't experience in earlier versions of P3D. I don't know if this the result of something LM did in the update, something in Chaseplane or a PMDG thingie, but I thought I'd pass it along nonetheless. While I haven't had any problems with controlability, I get a little sea sick as I speed my way through longer flights. Just FYI, John Lynch

I'm running the PMDG 737NGX with P3D V4, Active Sky, and Navigraph Data. Just wondering what is the best way to create flight plan routes and load the route into the FMC? I know there are several software programs out there that do this, just wondering what others are using and what would work best with the PMDG FMC. Thanks John Swanson

In all other extern flight-examples nothing is mentioned regarding this item. QUESTION: What are the consequences, if the value is too high or low ? Hey, so I was reinstalling Prepar3d because of some issues. Then when i log in again, I install all the addons which was installed before. Then when I choose the PMDG 737 NGX 800/900 it says "unable to create work files, run Prepar3d as administrator" An Ive tried to install the aircraft up again but still the same problem. I also tried to update the AIRAC data on Navigraph. It says that the aircraft has the newest AIRAC, but when I check the FMC, it says AIRAC cycle 1108.

I'm posting this in the General forum because I did not have a chance to check this out in the B777. Following an upgrade to P3Dv4.2, I did a test flight with the NGX B737-700 stock livery. Everything performed well; however, after landing was not able to steer the aircraft using my rudder pedals. I selected the outside view to see both nose wheel and rudder deflection in response to rudder movement. Both the rudder and the nose wheel moved in response to rudder pedal application, moved in the proper direction showed, and showed full deflection when the rudder pedals were pushed to the respective stop. Hi, Installed 737 basepack last week but i dont find on my pc the saved flights to use in tutorial 2. I look every folder (first of all my documents p3d files) but there are only fmc panel state save inside PMDG folder. I m using p3d v3.4. Solution? Thank you Marco Scali
