LINDA Support

I have just installed Linda 1.1.1 (with all relevant updates for FSUIPC etc.) I have the full FSX suite installed in th C: root. I am using Thrustmaster HOTAS X as J0 and Cyborg X as J1 On setting up the FSX default aircraft.in the Thrustmaster (which is intended as the primary joystick for flying operations, using the cyborg for secondary engine/navigation management), I have discovered the following: LINDA bt. 1 (trigger) (Bt. 0 in FSUIPC - works fine bt. 2 jumps to H1:0 on the guide (in FSUIPC jumps to bt. 32) (this was intended as a view button - and did work originally on first set up. bt. 3 performs as bt. 5 bt. 5 shows no response H1…

Linda summary page gives me the following error messages: 1) FSUIPC and LINDA port numbers do not match! 2) FSUIPC files not found! Regarding to the first message "setup required" link works and I have checked COM port number (COM 7 in my case) from SerialFP2 and made suggested changes to FSUICP4.ini file. However, the second "setup required" link is not even working and I have no idea what are the asked setup changes. Please do you have any idea how to proceed, thank you!

I installed the unregistered version of FSUIPC4(Ver4.84), Linda v1.11 with module 1.7 for NGX and FSX with SP2. If I used the VRi software, the MCP Combo II(Boeing) works. If I use Linda(do not run the VRi software), the panel lights blink when FSX starts, but I never get past the "Select your Aircraft and FLY Now" on the MCP LCD. No buttons or knobs work. Everything is green on the Linda GUI. The PMDG737NGX choosen in the LINDA GUI when I press FSX sync. Clicking the "Reload Lua Engine" gives me a status line on the FS display, but nothing changes. Hello, I'm using VRI MCP and Linda 1.11. It works, but the displays of the 737 NGX Autopilot are not synchronised with the displays of my MCP. The displays of the MCP always return back to 000. Please help. Best regards, Thorsten

Hi Artem, I am having a problem with LINDA not loading in FSX all of a sudden, last week I had the same problem with P3D 1.4 but a fresh install of LINDA seemed to fix it. Now I went back to FSX for the first time in a month (testing the DX10 fixes mentioned on the forum) or more and FSX is having the exact same error as P3D did, but a fresh install of LINDA does not fix it in FSX. Here is the FSUIPC.log below, notice the strange forward and back slashes in the paths, that's not normal is it? Hello, I hope that this is the right place for my question/problem : Using the Duke and Legacy from Realair I can configure all the things I need on my Hotas. Without one exception : I'm not able to use any function of the RXP library for the installed RXP GPS. I tried the CLR and ENT button in both ACs, restartet LINDA, restartet FSX - always no effect. Does anybody have a hint for me what the issue could be? As RXP GPS is updated to newest release was there a change in adressing this functions through LINDA? Using FSX ACC on WIN7/64 and newest LINDA release. Thanks Michael

Hi guys, I have most things now working to pat (except Aerosoft Catalina) with LINDA, but for some reason I am unable to get the strobe light switch to interract correctly. I can assign all the other switches via LINDA but not the strobe lights. Well, not exactly, I can assign the off position but not the on position! Any help appreciated as always, thanks.

I can assign buttons to any button my X45, but not all seem to be registering in FSX, specifically hat up and down and the second hat also isn't working fully. I feel like I must be missing something here. Ive purchased and installed the latest version of FSUIPC.

I just installed and configured LINDA using the manual instructions, I had already FSUIPC working for another addon (FSACARS). Clicking the FSX SYNC shows up the PMDG correctly. LINDA sees the joystick, also sees FSUIPC (both shows OK in the window) I even set it up to automatically start with FSX. First I tried setting up two buttons for autopilot and autothrottle change in PMDG NGX, linda sees the joystick button actions but they do not seem to have any effect in FSX/NGX. Then I switched back to default FSX on a more generic command (parking brakes) on one of the default FSX Aircraft (trike) and that doesnt do anyting either? I guess this is not supposed to be comp…

Hi! I am planning to build a overhead panel with Opencockpit panels and I/O Boards using the PMDG 737 NGX. I want to program the hardware with SIOC. As the NGX offsets can not be used directly, I want to use Linda. Has somebody tried that yet? Thanks

I get frequently this message, even after removing LINDA from the modules directory (i.e. Linda.exe and ipcready.lua). Any idea? best regards, Peter

I am trying to interface Linda with my MCP Combo2. Using Windows 7, FSUIPC 4.8. Linda 1.11, IFly 737 module 1.02 and IFly 737 version 1.01. No errors shown for joystick detection, port etc. No errors in console. When selecting a default fsx aircraft the mcp display is scambled showing a mixture of select aircraft and fly now and numbers.. I did have the system working after a fashion yesterday until I tried updating the Ifly 737 patch and modules. Then only the basic fsx functions worked, no EFIS etc. Tried reinstalling the 737. Now nothing working properly. Any ideas please. Thanks, Richard Halton

Due to multi-problems, I re-installed Linda versiom 1.11 (full package). PMDG MD-11 version 1.2 the dials, on SPD HDG ALT, does not report the same numbers in the MCP window as are the numbers, on the aircraft dashboard. The MCP ALT is 00900 and the aircraft is 9700. MCP SPD reads 180 and then falls back to 000 and the aircraft is 318. Same with HDG. Evening, I am new to this support page and hope I am posting in the correct location. I just purchased the MCP combo 2 Boeing and am very impressed with it. I was originally using the VRI software and panel config selecting the iFly configuration. The preconfigured buttons and dilas were spot on for me however I could not configure the 8 programmable button as it was show in the manual ( button 1 Gear up etc.). I posted on the VRI page and was direct to the LINDA software and iflytoFsuipc programs. Problem is not all of the buttons work. I can now configure the programmable buttons but things like the hdg hold button as well as some others are not responding... Ag…

I'm hoping help will not be too far away for me. I have to say straight off how impressed I have been with LINDA and how it has made things so much easier and enjoyable combined with the VRinsight switch panel. But, for some reason it has decided to start playing silly games. It first showed itself with the occasional toggle switch refusing to work, then it would work then another would stop. It has continued to get worse. I then thought it was just the B2 Islander I was having trouble with, but that was not the case and it seems to be happening with all my aircraft now. Hi, I recently purchased the MCP Combo II panel to use with LINDA and the iFly 737-800. So far it's working like a charm, the only thing I can't get to work is to get the display to show the flap and gear movement etc. I did see it was possible on the internet but I think that was with the PMDG737NGX. Hello, I was previously using VRiSim for my MCP (v1). After having reinstalled my OS, I wanted to test LINDA. I installed FSUIPC then LINDA and everything seems to be fine from LINDA side: "Everything is OK" everywhere on Settings page. But when I load PMDG 737 NGX settings into LINDA and start FSX with PMDG 737 NGX, then it goes wrong: the texts on my MCP stay the default ones ("SerialFP v2.520...") and nothing happens when I turn the knobs or push the buttons. HiI have the hardware above and I am useing:LINDA for MCP combo and VRiSim for CDUII!The CDUII works directly out of the box, great work VrInsight!!!!:)LINDA is starting together with FSX and cannot open the MCP port. Hello, first off let me say thank you for this programme which I have found absolutely useful with Aerosoft Katana 4X. As you need a pitch of trim, just hitting the right key and looking the trim switch cinematic movement at least, is a fantastic piece of work. Now, with Carenado Commander 144, I'm at loss as I was before with Katana. The gear and flap switches don't move at all with the 'gear up-down' and 'flaps incr-decr' commands through FSUIPC. Of course I'm talking about the cinematic movement, not the command itself, which is fine. Can you help me please in activating through Linda the cinematic of these switches? Thanks in advance Fabio

Can some people help me to make Vrinsight MCp Combo II work with AeroSystems 737 Avionics software? I know Aerosystems737 usimg standard FSUIPC, i can do some thing like rotary dials of MCP Combo change Altitute in Aerosystems 737 but can't update infor in LCD of Vrinsight MCP Combo II. Need some idea or sample. Thanks

I won't lose any sleep over this one, but it would be nice if I could assign screen wipers to my VRinsight switch panel via LINDA. At the moment I cannot see anything in the FSX default aircraft list or indeed in the PMDG NGX list. Any help appreciated, thanks guys...
