LINDA Support

Hi guys, I have just got my head around LINDA with assigning all the regular stuff, like gear, spoilers, radio, lights and flaps to my VRisight switch panel. However, while I can assign flaps to all my GA aircraft with no problem, the one issue I have is with the NGX. There is of course the NGX specific drop down list of assignments, but the problem is apparent when assigning a specific flaps command. While I can set flaps to up or down and flaps 1,2 and 3 and increase and decrease, what I seem unable to do is assign, with a single switch, flaps 15 or flaps 25 etc. I am sure there is a way, but I have been unable to find it. Hi.Whilst I appreciate the LINDA 737NGX profile is configured for MCP 1 & 2 and not the MPanel I am trying to get the best out of it as possible, largely with great success.I find with the MPanel that when I am flying the NGX under LNAV and VNAV, I can no longer use the MPanel to set the Altitude, it keeps jumping to the heading setting or speed setting.Is this in anyway caused by the lua script or is there a way I could prevent that from happening?If so the 737NGX profile would work perfectly with the MPanel.Thanks for any support you can provide.Chris

Hi guys,I hope you can me help me. I've got the lastest version of FSUIPC and LINDA and I am using the original MCP Combo panel, but LINDA seems not to recognize FSUIPC. Because a picture says more than 1000 words, here some pictures :) :This is what LINDA says. As you can see, FSX is running in the background. I just pressed 'Make changes for you?', which caused the pop-up.And this proofs that FSUIPC seems to be working perfectly.Many thanks!Stefan

In the new version 1.11 there seems to be a problem with selecting, or in particular, remembering the EFIS mode. The last 3 buttons on the USER panel I have assigned to EFIS mode 1, 2, 3 respectively. When I choose mode 2 or 3 it correctly switches mode and shows M211 or M311 in the display and for some seconds the buttons and knobs also use that mode. But when I don't touch the panel for a while it automatically switches back to mode 1 when I hit buttons or knobs again - even though it still says M211 on the display! So there is something wrong there...I haven't tested this with the MCP or USER panels.

Yesterday I received delivery of my VRinsight switch and toggle panel so decided to start tryning to get my head around LINDA. I have to admit it appears a lot more intuitive and easy than FSUIPC. Anyway, I deleted all the [buttons] values in the FSUIPC cfg that related to all of my aircraft. Then deleted what I thought was the right files from the FSX/Modules folder... but now I'm not sure. I started to have some problems with all the axis in FSUIPC, but now after much moving of files have got things working. So, all the axis works on all of my aircraft with none of the buttons. I finally got the MCP combo to turn on both fuel valves using Linda. BUT....When I turn the ignition switch to start (using the mouse) then the valve for that engine closes. If I re-open the valve using the mouse then it stays open.Why would turning the ignition switch to "start" close the valve only if Linda opened it? Same thing happens to both engines.Any help appreciated.Neal H

Can somebody point me to some literature that tell's me exactly what LNDA is and how it works. What are the advantages of using LINDA for say the PMDG NGX, over using FSUIPC only?

Since installing LINDA 1.11, I now get this error message when trying to use the Console Window: List Index out of bounds ()Can anyone advise me on this error and how to correct. I am unable to use the Console Window as it is intended.

Hey guysI'm new to this LINDA stuff, pretty neat so far, I managed to get my Warthog to work with the PMDG 737NGX as close as possible to the real controls. But I have encountered a few problems.Why doesn't it recognize both positions of the switches? Like, if there's a switch I assigned to be F/D Toggle, I want it to turn ON and OFF the F/D everytime I move it, but with LINDA it's like it's not a Switch, it only works when the switch is in the up position, when I move it Down it's like nothing happened.With the 3 way Switch, the Up and Down position works, but not the Middle position. Hello,I just found out the software LINDA. Dont know how it works but it seems to be great.But two questions.1.) I want to build a cockpit based on the digital aviation cheyenne, i've tried the mouse macro function in fsuipc to control the plane but with no luck. no i wonder if it is possible with the LINDA software to control the switches in the plane.2.) I'm the lucky owner of the complete radio stack from SIMKITS. I have a registered copy of FSUIPC and when I try to assign a key press to a joystick key, the key that is assigned does not get send to FSX. The same thing is happening when I try to use LINDA to record a key press or assign a key from the FSX availalbe options. Example, I have an elevator trim up and down assigned to joystick. When I press the button for trim up the trim goes down. And when trim down is pressed the trim goes up. HELP!

HiToday I received my MCP combo2 and have a carenado with the RXP430. I only see the 530 manage in Linda... tried with that but no move in my knobs or buttons. No functions in it. Do you know how I can convert it to 430.. or where I can download it?thanks for this piece of art!

Hello!well first thanks to all people involved in development of Linda and make the MCP combo 2 panel compatible with many planes in FSX.I work in Laminar Research as creator of planes, and mine is the CRJ200, which I pretend to make the combo 2 panel compatible with it.It would be find to find a Linda for x-plane!!Well.. one thing I didn't like too much when I tested the combo2 is that the lights illuminate all together, but not per fuction on. It would be better for me to make the function on-only illuminated button.I don't know if this is possible to do, or someone did it already... or how to do it.Any info about this is well appreciated.Thanks!

Hi,This is excellent software that will make assigning buttons much easier!Do you plan to provide support for more than 5 devices in the future? Paul

I am having an issue with setting a joystick press. I try to record a keypress from my joystick and LINDA either sends the wrong keypress or nothing at all. Also when I try to set it within FSUIPC the same thing happens. I have also tried sening the keypress from wihin LINDA using "send FSX control" option and it does not work. Any ideas? I can set it within FSX and no issues.

PMDG NGX & Vrinsight MCP : initially i had a numerique indication of my trim value, when I hovered the mouse over the wheelAfter installing Linda v1.1 with default settings, I have no indications anymore ! On a video clip I saw that via Linda you could see it in the little MCP screen How ?Also on the Vrinsight on the Com side there are 8 push buttons how are the configered ( what are their functions by default ).

Hello,I guess I must be missing something because I can't seem to pull it off.This is the situation.I use the dodosim 206 quite often and it is very easy to create a module fot this helo, using Linda.However, inside FSX the 206 has been split up in 4 different configurations.I have made one module for the high_skid version and I want to use that for all variants.And that my friends, that doesn't work for me.Can anyone shed some light on how to duplicate the original file?ThanksLuc BrusselmansBelgium.and before I forget. Hi, is it possible to link LINDA with HidMacros, or let that LINDA can handle a 2nd keyboard, like HidMacros does?Infact in HIDMacros now I can't handle specific functions of PMDG 737 NGX like LANDING LIGHTS and others.Many thanks in advance.
