LINDA Support

Hi all,I tried to start LINDA, but it does not start.I have installed it in the Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games|microsoft Flight Simulator|Modules. when I click the exe file nothing happens.I have a registered FSUIPC version 4.745 installed and would like to use LINDA to program this module.Could someone help meThanksHanss

Hi,I installed the new version 1.1. Some of my problems are solved.It works fine so far. I am checking the presets of RXP gns 530. I adjusted the RXP.ini to meet the used shortcuts. For explanation I take the following example: the gps ENTER button does not work: ctrl+shift +alt+f10, when pressed. Is it possible that this short-cut interferes with something. In the console I see the sendkeys function. Changing the short-cuts means changing the RXP-lib I suppose.Any other solution?Best regardsStephan

Hi,I installed the new download v 1.1b. I spent two days to get it run. My MCP Combo 1 was not recognize although the settings say o.k..This morning I returned to Lindav 1.0.2 . Nearly every thing work fine as before with the same com=7 etc.I could not find out what caused the problems in v 1.1.b..Iinstalled it in a fresh modules folder. No older version was there anymore.May be someone encountered the same problems.

Hi,Don't know if it has anything to do with SP1 for the PMDG 737NGX, but after flying for 15-30 minutes the displays loose the info and only show the blue screen.The knobs/switches then still work.I had this with the last 5 flights since updating the 737NGX.One time the info on the Radio display stayed, while the info on the main displays was gone.When shutting down FSX ( and Linda) the SerialFP text is showing.Help is appriciated.

I need to start LINDA for my NGX Mode togglesMode 1 cfg's are loaded, but cannot toggle to Mode2 without LINDA actually started upthis Normal behaviour?(seems unexpected, why would this be?)

Folks,I have reported the problem already in the NGX thread however I think it's best to start the whole inquiry as a new support item.Due to the fact that after applying the V1.0b5 and up nothing worked anymore I decided to start up with a basic LINDA setting. Here's what I have done:I cleaned everything up (including removing all LINDA items from FSUIPC.INI) and made a fresh install with LINDA V1.03. After that everything worked well. The downloads section has an update to Version 1.0.3 Update. I installed it and now see on the LINDA SETTINGS page:Top (BLUE TITLE SECTION) Version 1.0 dated 10 june 2011latest Updates Section: Version 1.0.3 //17 jule 2001Version 1.0.2 // 30 june 2011But on the forums I keep running across other updates such as LINDA 1.1b, 1.0b6, etc.Which version should I be using with my MCP-Combo v2/Jet/Liner/Thanks for help because I don't seem to be getting the performance expected from this device. Hello, I do love LINDA and have been playing with it. But, when trying a test fight in the PMDG NGX, I had this error and then it stopped interacting: [E] *** LUA Error: linda/aircrafts/PMDG 737NGX/actions.lua:2353: attempt to call global '_MCP1' (a nil value)I had taken off and hit the "gear up" lever, which is a toggle switch on my yoke. Up on the toggle is assigned to "NGX Gear Up" Any thoughts on what happened would be more appreciated. FSUIPC is up to date, so that isn't it. Best,

So, I've been playing with LINDA and have a question about whether its reasonably easy to create a new functions. I read the manual about the hunt mode, but I'm trying to figure out what I can do with that info.For instance, in the NGX, if I flip one of the Hydro pumps and it says "Button 176 (or something like that). How do I use knowing that Eng Hyd Pump 1 is "Button 176" to map something to that function? The manual tells you how to figure out what the function is, but not how to use it, so thoughts on this would be helpful.

Hallo Günter,I see you are not using macros for the new PMDG 737 NGX.Is it possible to use some of the lua-functions direct with FSUIPC.I have the Gear_up and Gear_down assigned to one axis of my Saitek-Throttle-Quadrant via FSUIPC.I love to move a handle to raise or lower the gear :-)

Now, as LINDA is released, I can finally to think of it's future and what next device support could be integrated in it.

LInda looks good but I have a Saitek Yoke and use FSUIPC to make compound controls. There is a switch on the yoke that has three positions and depending on if it is 1, 2, or 3 depends what is sent when I press other buttons. Use the modes for takeoff, cruise, and landing.An example is [buttons]1=CP(+2,8)2,1,K88,102=CP(+2,9)2,1,K88,11Can Linda do the same thing? --whoops needs to be moved. I must have hit the back arrow just before posting. Sorry.

I got LINDA 1.03 up and running. It starts, Lvars are loaded etc. If, however, I set a watch on a known FSUIPC offset (07D4 - A/P altitude selection) I don't get anything triggered. If I turn on "Log IPC writes" I see the offset changes, but setting a watch doesn't work, and no output is triggered. "Set value" works though and I can zero out the altitude selection. "Eval" doesn't work either. Any suggestions?

I have everything up and rinning, flew my JS 41 from KLAS to KLAS today. LINDA and MCP Combo worked perfectly together BUT the MPC "manual" leaves a lot to be desired. The upper right button on the COM section is a good example: After pressing it once none of the light buttons worked. I pressed it again a few tims and it was cycling through several modes, finally getting back to the lights.LINDA has given me lots of options for programming (THANKS!) but I need to know more about the MCP. what does 'save panel position' supposed to do?It sounds like this would actually save the 2d panels position (and size?) of the aircraft('and restore automatically', or something, what is that supposed to do? / i'm not at my box)but it doesnt?(or not when i tried the keys)what am i missing?(hope this doesnt refer to the linda interface )

Hello guys, perhaps you have an idea how to solve this: For FSUIPC there are some addon aircraft (like the Eaglesoft Cirrus SR22) where it was neither possible to make a mouse macro (no clickspot response) nor tracing som LVars to find out what code presses the switch (here the GNS430 1 and 2 unit of the Cirrus). So I installed LINDA and the GUI is really good, but even here no matter what settings I make for the tracer there is no response for the buttons, in this case for all the buttons/knobs of the GNS430 unit of the Cirrus. Well dealing with a mouse for this unit during flying is really awful, even a touch LCD is not a good solution (especially for the rotary knobs).…

Hi, I am trting to use Linda with MCP Combo II airbus, and I can only get test mode. I also have on th write side "connect via Vrisim" How can I change this connection mode. I have disinstallled Serial FP2 and corrected the dll.xml.... Any help please. Thank'sYves

Hi there, LINDA made me looking forward to finally get my MCP working qwith the ifly 737... so I bought a regitred version of fsuipc (the latest on) installed Linda as was said in the manual, set up the mcp... but it does not work. I have tried to both record a keypress and chose a key press from list of FSX controls and LINDA sends the wrong command. I am using a logitech 3d pro. I have cleared the command xml file and dont know what else to try. If i launch the tracer and send the command it works fine. Help...Chris
