LINDA Support

Hello,After a long time, I'm back to you.Having reinstalled ConcordeX to fliy it for my VA,I'd like to use LINDA to command some functions instead of pan the various panel and click on the switches.In a previous post, You had helped me for some.Now, I'd like to use Trottle quadrand buttons for starters and MCP combo user buttons for HP valves.I've tested many function self made but I'm facing a big problem:I am able to launch the starters, the HP valves which inject fuel in engines but as the panel starter switches don't move, the ignition don't start.In the same idea, I'd like to switch the debow when N1 reaches 30% automatically but Ididn't found the control or Lvar cor…

I have the Aerosoft Australia MCP (now out of production) and I would love to use it with the PMDG 737 NGX, but I'm sure no one is going to write a driver for it because of the small market. Based on what I've read about LINDA, it seems like I could use LINDA to write my own script/driver to support this hardware. Am I correct or am I completely off base? I love the added realism and comfort of using an MCP panel rather than mouseclicks/keyboard, but I'm not excited about the possibility of laying out $500+ for one of the MCP hardware panels on the market there now when I have a perfectly good piece of hardware already and I jsut need software to run it. LINDA Console.......... Error Message:[E] JoyGetDevCaps for Device 7 return error 165 [00000A5]The list starts at 7 goes through to and including Device 15. Total of 9This also appears in FSUIPC4.log which Pete Dowson is working on as it appears LINDA could be causing problems with FSUIPC. Whenever I attempt to open FSUIPC the sim (FSX) crashes. If I unplug the three BU0836X boards which carry the PMDG737NGX overhead LINDA switches and buttons inputs then FSUIPC returns to normal.Pete Dowson suggested I inform you of the above error warning. Is there a way to use the virtual buttons with LINDA? I used them to interface to SPAD for the Saitek Multipanel in earlier fsuipc.ini files. It was possible in earlier LINDA by placing the commands in the [buttons] section. In 1.11 it doesn't seem to work.Thanks for any help or suggestions from other SPAD users of how to interface to Multipanel from Linda. (mainly dials and buttons... not displays.)Ed F. Sorry .... First let me thank you for this great addon, it really has made a lot of difference to FSX. However, there is one thing that infuriates me, and it may well be an FSX restriction, don't know. Anyhow, my question is... is there any way of assigning a toggle switch so it works as an on off switch and not just one way. I find it frustrating to have to assign an operation to a toggle, to switch something on but then unable to simply switch the toggle off. I end up having to have two toggle switches, one to switch something on and another to switch it off! I hope I have explained that clearly, without too many toggles! BTW I am using the VRinsight Switch and Toggle panel.

Can Linda be made to close together with FSX? Kinda bothers me that Linda stays open after FSX closes.

I don't see this one anywhere on the forum. Every time I start LINDA, with or without FSX running, it starts minimized and then, no matter what I do, shuts down in about 20 seconds. EVERY TIME. I used to use it regularly with FSX and the PMDG 737NGX. The only thing that's different now is that I installed PMDG 737NGX Service Pack 1C and FS2Crew Voice Control for the PMDG 737NGX.Is anyone else having this problem? Can anyone tell me how to fix it?LINDA is one fine application and I don't want to lose it.HELP!

Tried Tutorial#2 yesterday and found that while I could set the ADF1 with my VRInsight Combo2 and I could select the ADF2 I found that any changes to ADF2 did not make any changes in the actual ADF2. Also the transfer button for the ADF did not work.Is this a known issue? Can it be fixed?Thanks.

Hello gents -First off: I'm REALLY impressed with linda! I rather hesitated picking it up because I had configured so much with macro's and lvars in fsuipc.I decided to pick it up nevertheless, and thus I am very impressed.Right, onto my very, very strange proglem: sometimes the commands don't "come through". I think this has to do when I push and hold a button (i.e. for push-to-talk or something). What happens is I hold a button, release it like all is well, but following that no commands get sent through? I can push any button I like, linda does nothing. Most of the time though, after a few minutes, all the buttons I pressed in the period that no commands were sent thro…

I installed LINDA 1.11 and am now finding an error message in the LINDA Console once FSX has loaded.Here is a screen capture of the console with the error message shown in red (I just didn't capture the top two lines of the console as the second one shows my email address) :I also notice that the LUA display window that would tell me that LINDA is installed and ready to go, does not appear.This issue did not occur with the previous version of LINDA that I used. Any hints would be much appreciated. Oh and BTW, my PC runs Windows 7 32 bit, not Vista as the console windows claims.

Hi, I just had a support request from an FSUIPC user which includes this text: It is a shame that the offsets reserved for private user application are being hijacked for a program which is becoming more and more popular. This is going to cause much more support work and folks requesting dedicated offsets for one-off private applications. I won't be able to accede to all of these. Please reconsider the use of these offsets and request a proper dedicated allocation for LINDA. It will be easy for me to oblige (write to me at [email protected] saying how much you need), and will solve a lot of future hassle. Thanks & RegardsPete

Hm, weird. I gave this thing a go, and configured my gear up/down, fuel cutoff switches to my buttons on my Saitek TQ.After the setup its working, but after I reload the FSX, it doesn't. When I open Linda again, while FSX/NGX loaded, then suddenely it reacts again in FSX. It's like it doesn't load the settings properly while Linda closed.

Linda recognize some buttons (A + B of my X52 Pro only if the Saitek control panel window is open or if no joystick profile is active. Other buttons (T1+T2 etc.) are recognized even when the Joystick control panel is closed. Didn't have this problem before.

HI,i bought FSUIpC 4., installed Linda but during setup it says no in FSUIPC CONFG - Version: Start FSX to check and fsuipc4.ini: n/a ??if you try to make changes for you...nothing... Hello and thank you for your great tool,last week I tried it and I have a question:as I have more than 10 joysticks (USB-I/O-Interfaces) in my configuration, it would be important to select those joysticks which are important to be configured with LINDA, and to exclude those who are not as important.But LINDA finds the Joysticks automatically. Is it possible to tell LINDA, which Joysticks shall be found or to eliminate joysticks, that shall not be configured.Is there any chance that LINDA will give support for more than 10 Joysticks ?Thanks and best regards,gunter

Hi,just about to purchase some fantastic kit out on the market. And very excited now seeing LINDA and its capabilities.A few questions.first is does anyone have any luck or experience with how the QW757 is with LINDA or is there coding very difficult to assign buttons? e.g. lights, engine start.Secondly with LINDA can I say setup my throttle with FSUIPC and then my other joysticks with LINDA without conflict.
