LINDA Support

Hello Crum, Guenseli, My understanding is that FSUIPC is required to handle the joystick axes inputs, and I have a question about multiple joystick axes input configurations and how LINDA would handle them. My hardware consists of; A. VRInsight MCP COMBO PanelB. VRInsight YokeC. Microsoft Force Feedback 2 joystickD. GoFlight GF-TQ6 ThrottleE. CH PRO Throttle I am enjoying the challenge of programming up the Captain Sim B727 in LINDA with the configuration of A-B-D, but am thinking of maximising the potential of my hardware that I have with other payware aircraft and programming up the configurations to suit. Thanks for the great software. Seriously, very impressive.A couple of questions though:1. Will the Wilco FT Airbus volumes ever be included with an update or something?2. Assuming not, I tried following the manual and adding it myself. However, the manual seems incomplete. For example, in trying to set the EFIS range, what do i do after I see the item in Lvar monitoring? The manual kind of just stops after finding the Duke Cowl Flaps item. Ok, so I found the item, now what? How do I assign it?Thanks in advance.

Well, just started to use LINDA with my mcp combo panel. My serialFB software tells me that com port 21 is used instead of regular com port 3. I can not choose it in the linda drop down menu...What to do now???

Running a Logitech G940 here and all I get is this screen.When running FSX the console states HID devices config not found and Joysticks disabled!.I've tried it with the suggested deleted FSX and FSUIPC assignments and without that step.Speaking of this one. And this. Hey,first of all let me start by saying that LINDA looks to be an excellent program. Sure as hell will save us a lot of time configuring the controls.That said, I have following annoying problem: whenever I want to change aircraft, or even load a flight (not from the main menu, but when already in-game on the ramp), FSX crashes and quits (fatal error occurred blablabla and no further details). It's with any aircraft that I select, or with any saved flight that I try to load, so IMO it's not aircraft or flight related.I even tried with deleting my fsuipc.ini file so the games reinitializes one, but the problem persists.To confirm my problem is related to LINDA (or a possib…

Hi Artem,I would like to suggest that you move lib-user.lua from linda/libs to somewhere in linda-cfg.The reason is that with the current way to update (overwrite everything in linda), the changes we make in that file disappears. I just noticed that :)Helge

Hey,question: is it possible to use the LINDA user interface to program FSUIPC "Compound" buttons ?This, if I'm not mistaken, is not entirely the same as the "shifted" mode that LINDA provides.Correct me if I'm wrong on the below statement:- "Shifted" means that you assign one (or more) button(s) as a "shifter", and that you can give your other buttons another function when this shifter button is pressed. Thus, each button on your joystick has the potential of being assigned 2 functions (one normal, and one shifted), right ?- FSUIPC Compound means that any button has the potential to have more than one (and even more than two !) functions assigned, depending on the state …

I have a few questions about how to write code for LINDA, so thought I woudl start a new thread for that. I am sure more will pop up later :)- I want to place spoilers off and spoilers arm on my joystick, but cannot find functions in the default fsx library for that. Currently I have placed them in lib-user.lua, is that the right place for them? Hi, is it possible to use VRINSIGHT MCP and CDU II together with LINDA? Or must I start MCP via LUA and the CDU II via SerialFP?Best regards, Thorsten

Hello, I really like what I am seeing... I'm having a small issue but just might be me missing a step... I tried to search here for an answer but did not see anything. My issue is everything is setup correctly from what I can tell. When trying to set up my joystick buttons with FSXsync on, I press a button and nothing happens. Any assistance would be helpful thanks in advance. I am running FSX and Logitech G940 flight system plus MCP COMBO. Thanks again.

Hi Guys:I am not sure how to get his working, do you run linda in the background ? if so what is the order in which you would start fsx and linda, I loaded default 737 but mcp combo does nothing, I think its a comport switch but it says ok com4 in serialfp2 it was com3 and worked fine, a brief startup tutorial would be great also do I create a shortcut of linda on my desktop ? thank you.Rich

Hi,I try to understand how things works.When i load the PMDG MD11 default settings there are some settings about EFIS MINIMUMS (picture 1).When i try to set up an empty field with EFIS parameter, i dont find this EFIS MINIMUMS (picture 2).From where does it comes please ?I look in "actions.lua" to compare with "config-mcp-lua" of the PMDG MD11 aircrafts and dont find a true relationship.Michel

Hi,I want to use LINDA with the iFly 737, so I need to start a new airplane configuration. How do I do this?I have noticed that the Course, SPeed, Heading, Altitude and V/S dials seem to work fine when I use the FSX Default setup (turning dials updates the iFLy MCP), so for now I thought I just would do the rest by assigning keypresses. Controlling via LUA could come later.Helge

Hello everyone concerned with the project,Beta testing is going well. Several not obvious bugs were found and fixed. Now working on HID devices compatibility issues and in a couple of days we'll move to the Beta 2 stage. Overall, no major problems where found and everything is working pretty much as expected. This means that after some tests with Beta 2 version, the we'll start an open beta testing with RC1.We still need to prepare the manual for LINDA, but this could be done only when Guenter will return from his holidays. Approximately the manual will be ready till the end of June.Thanks to everyone helping us to complete and release the thing.
