PMDG Turboprops (Legacy Versions)

What a great plane this is! It is my first experience with PMDG after having flown CapSim 737-200 for a while..I'm sold! The JS4100 is a pleasure to fly. Just a couple of questions that perhaps can be answered here: I do not get a green light when the spoilers are armed. Not at any phase of the flight, and they are not deploying on landing. I've checked after touching down at Vref and having all wheels on the ground. I installed this plane about 10 days ago and never have I seen a green light for the spoilers. Is there a fix for this problem? The tutorial flight asks to set the FD for TO by pressing HDG/ALT and then goes on to ask to push the GA button, but the GA…

  2. hello all, I recently installed the B1900D from PMDG for fs2004. i was all good to go on it but then i found a hole in the tip of the nose. it really bothers me and I was wondering if there was any way to get rid of this. much help would be nice. thanks.

Hello fellow addicts, There is an old topic on this that presents no solution, but mentions some possible causes such as landing too fast, etc. I land right on speed and 9 out of ten cannot retract the spoilers...even tested by applying full power on roll out with same results. When I turn the spoiler switch off, the green light extinguishes but the spoilers still out. Ideas? IMC veryone :))))

  5. Hello fellow addicts, The other day I wanted to do a quick turn around and left the starboard engine running. Well, the main door would come open and immediately close. I had to fully shut down to get the dope on board :))) Anyone out there who have found a way around this? Regards

  6. Hello J41-captains out there:-), first of all a great THANK YOU to PMDG for creating this beautiful and detailed aircraft for FSX! It's great to notice how limitations within the FSX-engine are not a reason to keep the company away from developing realistic products for FSX!!! I just have a little question and I know that this topic has been referred to in older posts, but I didn't get a clear answer so far: Is it normal that the rudder does only move when at least a little bit of throttle is applied? When the aircraft is cold and dark all of the flight controls work, but only the rudder is kept in the middle position. It is not a matter of the yaw damper or the locks,…

Cruzin along at 17500 the landing gear inadvertently drops... Hands off yoke/keyboard/mouse... autopilot on... just sitting there watching the clouds go by and the gear starts to come down. I have it hot keyed to a switch on the yoke and deleted the default "G" command but it still drops sometimes... I did just do a fresh install of FSX and all its millions of parts... Any Ideas?

  8. It usually happens when im transitioning my throttles or my rpm... Im not slamming it in any direction... using a nice easy, slow push or pull on the throttles. Most recently it has been on the transition from idle to flight on the prop pitch. Sometimes they shut off mid flight, sometimes at the gate, sometimes on taxi to or from the parking spot. I watch my engine gauges closely and ensure I dont exceed max limits. I thought it may be something to do with icing conditions but I actuallu had both engines catch fire right after they shut off...egt temps were well below max. Ive even had shut down issues when shutting off the icing switches mid flight …

Hello,I have been reading something about this as I searched, not yet been repaired no? No other aircraft do that here, no matter how I test, only the JS4100 - I get kind of light blue flashing triangles with the center in the center of the screen, flahsing around... I've seen some posts that resemble to pretty much what I'm seeing.Happens only in the VC!! Not in external or anything. Happens only when I change to VC and if go out it stops...When will it get fixed? I can't fly the aircraft...

I have both the 737 and this one. When using a headset the 737 correctly separates the cabin to the headset and the rest through the speakers however the J41 puts all the sound through the headset only. Anyone have a fix for this? cheers edit Im using a usb connector

Hi everyone, I just downloaded the PMDG J41 and installed it on my computer. When the aircraft is chosen on the pre flight FSX menu, you can start hearing cockpit sounds even before the aircraft has loaded in the flight. Once loaded, the avionics are not displaying and the throttles won't move up or down. Even if you turn on and off the avionics switches, the displays will remain in black (including the FMS). I tried uninstalling and installing again but the problem remains. Just in case, I'm running on Vista 64 Bit. Please somebody help. Thanks Sorry I meant to say Windows 7 64 Bit

My JS41 performance during the cooler spring season was great; would get decent climb rates without AOA icing and EGT to the max line. This summer, I'm struggling to get above 11,000 ft. My TAT at 11,000 ft is 12* C and the SAT is 6* C as I'm flying right now. Is the air just too warm for me to get more power out of the engines?

  13. Hi folks, as announced now the Brindabella Airlines (Australia) day-by-day plan. Same motivation as for Eastern Airways: I like to fly some legs of a given aircraft, so I tried to analyse the aircrafts' day plan. Please be aware of my notation: The flights have to be read from left to right, then (linked by a pipe '|') from right to left ('<' gives an indication), and again from left to right... The colours bind (not completely consistently) flight pairs or onward flights. Meanwhile I have flown some routes. Then the lines provide the amount of fuel in kgs and lbs. Also some remarks indicate small deviations from the normal timeplan, or that I f…

Good Day, I'm doing a repaint of the JS4100 and have done fine except for 1 place. I'm having a bit of trouble getting the nosewheel nacelle. I have painted it, but when you look at it after installing the texture on the aircraft, it comes out transluscent, with the area of translucency depending on the angle of view. Please see the two images below: The arrows point out the area in question. The nacelle I painted was on the PMDG_J41_Fuselage_T_Clean.psd file (resaved so I don't write over the original). It almost looks like there is another texture there somewhere that is fighting for attention with it. I copied the nacelle from the background lay…

  16. Hi folks, there aren't many airlines out there flying the J41. Eastern Airways (https://en.wikipedia...Eastern_Airways) is one of them. Their largest base is Aberdeen (IATA: ABZ, ICAO: EGPD). The webpage http://www.easternairways.com/ provides Eastern Airways' time table. http://www.easternairways.com/_assets/media/timetable.pdf As I like to fly some legs of a given aircraft, I tried to analyse the aircrafts' day plan and came to the following result, examplary for one plane stationed at Newcastle (NCL, EGNT): --- hardly readable... see attached file --- The first flight EZE4621 from EGNT Newcastle at 0655 to EGBB Birmingham, block time 1:00. …

I just got the JS4100 and it's spectacular. I haven't flown it much as I've been working through the various manuals and trying to pick up as much as I can before being in a position where you have to do things fairly rapidly. The Tutorial is extremely well written, as are all the manuals. Makes learning this very much easier. Mr. Randazzo, my impression is that flying for Atlantic, you were primarily flying to fairly well equipped airports - i.e. those typically that would have power carts for the aircraft while on the ground. I'm mainly interested in going into possibly less well equipped strips where those may not exist. Are battery starts fairly routine on the JS4…

  20. I'm intrested in seeing screenshots and maybe video plus hearing from someone who has installed the PMDG B1900D into FSX, I am thinking about buying it but since it is an FS9 product and I only want FSX I'm a bit more cautios then usual. Does anyone have experience with the B1900D in FSX? I'm most intrested in how the system modelling is, how the flight dynamics is, and how the VC is looking (and how the fps are)? Thanks :) Johan Grauers

I love the J41 but their is a sound in the VC that is so loud I can not hear the ATC. I first sent all my sounds to my speakers all of the sounds besides the ATC went their like I wanted but in the VC their was still that sound. So I put all the sounds to 0 in FSX the sound is still their. It sounds like a fan and clicking if that helps. Is their anyway to get the VC sound in my speakers not my headphones.

After installing Reality XP WX 500 Weather Radar, I noticed that the J41 had it installed without needing to run the configuration utility. However, the results are quite poor as the attached picture demonstrates. Before I run to Reality XP support, has anyone else run into this?
