Hi, the MD-11 looks really nice, but i have a problem with textures in VC. The seats, yoke and label textures are really unsharp. High resolution VC is activated and a reinstall didn't fixed the problem. A problem with Nvidia graphic card is excluded, i have a ATI 3650

So in the advance tutorial you select ORD2 and runway 14R. Exactly why do yo select ORD2, what is the purpose?I think that I get that selecting a STAR gives you your approach, but why a SID?Rod Storer

So far I have only went through the first two tutorials and have read some of the manuals. After loading my first flight plan from Simroutes I thought of a couple of things.How do you get your block fuel value? FMS Page 10.21 tells you what values you need to calculate it, but no formula.How do you decide what your take off flap setting should be?

The "FSX Addon" menus, the failure generator and the 2d popops for both of these FSX aircraft look remarkably similar, almost exact.Is this because Lefteris Kalamaras did the coding on the MD-11 and obviously did it for Concorde-X?JB

does anyone know of a FMC guide that just tells u how u do things differently in the MD-11 FMC than the 747 FMC. something that is barebones liketo clear route DISCON press CLR then press LSK next to DISCON.or something like that.I know how both the 747 & MD FMC's work but i just need a mini FMC QRH. I spent 500+ hrs flying Boeing jets so im a bit rusty in the MD-11.thanks

Hello!I've noticed each time it is pressed the key "B" over FL180 it changes the value, which should be fixed at 2992 (1013).Of course this problem happens also below FL180 but it can be clearly seen at that altitude.Is it a bug? Is there a fix?RegardsSchmid

Hello i have found an problem on my md-11.my problem is:i had make an normal flight from lfpg to egll i choosed RWY: VFR27L in egll and STAR: OCK1D i sett on the last waypoint at ALT AT:2500Feet i set 5nm before TOD the altittude selector on the MCP to 2500feet on the PFD it had Stayed Hold 32000 and Prof 2500 in pruple on the descend i was perfect in the Descedn path but on the last waypoint(10nm before airport)i was 2000feet to high.how can that be???i had sett altittude in FMC on the MCP and on PFD it stayed HOLD320,PROF2500 in pruple.why i am then to high???Yunus Aktas

I have just downloaded my first flight plan from Simroutes and got it loaded, the first thing that I noticed is that there are no speed restrictions and no flight altitude levels displayed in the flight plan for the vor's and fixes like you get when you load the KORDKJFK001 company route for the advanced tutorial.Do you have to enter the speed restrictions and altitudes yourself into the FMC via the MCDU after you load the Simroutes route? If that is what you have to do then where do you get this information from?Rod Storer

I am trying to fly the Twin Falls SID from KSLC 34R to KBOI. How is this done to comply with the altitude restrictions? I have been told by airline pilots to set a higher altitude and the FMS will comply with the SID restrictions meaning the aircraft through the FMS will climb the aircraft. Any help would be appreciated.ThanksDon

Rather than waste a takeoff and crash I thought I ask a question first. When I advance the throtle on the joystick at around 80.0% N1 T O CLAMP changes to T O THRUST and a audible click is heard. At that time can I retard the joystck throttle to idle and assume the plane has taken control of the thrust? On Boeing planes I click on TO/GA and EPR in the 752 and 763 and the screw and THRST in the 744.Thank youMichael Cubine

Hey guys, i am just wondering. When I saw a couple of videos, especially Md-11, sometimes the engines are rotating slow and it sounds like they are not started. If you can, how do u do that in PMDG MD-11.

And sometimes my Elevators stop working, i can steer left and right but not up and down.BUT if i turn off the LSAS system from the "MD11" my Elevators working again also if i hold "Z'" (autopilot dissconnect) pressed it workin.Strange! Hello all. I am hoping someone can help me understand the autoflight system on the MD-11. Once I get up to cruise altitude and autoflight is all good to go, I sometimes like to hand fly her. Now I have the elevator/aileron/rudder A/P Controls Override Option set to "Always." When the autoflight system is still enabled, and I move the controls to a certain point, the aircraft responds appropriately. However when I DISENGAGE the autoflight system to hand fly, I have pretty much no control over the aircraft. If I HOLD the AP Disengage switch I have full control of the aircraft. I have been trying to find something explaining this behavior in the manual but I have been…

Hello,I recently purchased the PMDG MD-11. During the installation, I was prompted to allow the MS C++ 2008 package install. However, I have FSX+addons on a different drive to my system files, and it seems as though the installation program has installed the C++ package to my FSX drive (hard to tell - I am not sure if they are the actual package files or just setup files which are OK to delete, I've attached a screenshot to the post). Is it possible to uninstall it and re-install it to a different drive? Or will I experience issues with the MD11 addon?Also, after the installation had finished, I did not get a confirmation screen saying the installation had been completed …

This a flightplan from KJFK to KBOS from FlightAware. MERIT ORW ORW082 PVD263 PVD ORW3. Does anyone know what defines these two waypoints: ORW082 PVD263? I have been seeing more and more of these types of waypoints especiallly in plans filed by American and Fedex. How would these be entered into the FMS. I am still entering plans into the FMS with the original database which came with the MD11. I believe this was effective in the Spring of 2008. When I try to enter these types of waypoints, I receive a message saying NOT IN DATABASE. Any explanation would be appreciated.Thank youMichael Cubine
