Hi alljust bought the md-11 as my first addon aircraft for fsx as i've been interested with the md-11 since my younger years as the planes looked and flew superbly my only flight in one was when i was six flying to amsterdam but from what i remember it was probably the smoothest flight i've been on. Hi all, What is the correct procedure in regards to once a fuel dump is complete and then updating the fuel weightor aircraft weight in the FMS? (so correct calculations are redone for landing etc)Eg. I just completed a flight where I was carrying 40,000kg of fuel, during cruise I dumped 20,000kg of fuel(so basically I was then carrying 20,000) yet on the Progress pg in FMS still stated that I would be landing with 30,000kg !!!Doesn

This just won't go away and it's driving me nuts. Im very curious as to why my md-11 has the tendancy to fly to the right of the flight path included when landing.Notice in the first picture its flying to the right of it. Does anyone have the skills to program an approach to be loaded into the FMS database for SEQU runway 17?There is a company specific MD-11 "cloud break" visual approach to runway 17, this is not part of a standard EAG (Navigraph) database. I of course have the charts but I would like to be able to select it from the database like in the real aircraft.If anyone is able to code the approach please let me know and I will email the chart.Many thanks in advance!Mark

FsCaptain latest versionSITUATION1_ When I fully load my MD-11F using "Full Cargo" in the PMDG load manager with minimum fuel = 7000 KGS, I NOTICED that after saving the settings, the MD-11F aircraft.cfg has been modified !2_ Inside the cockpit I load the aircraft of fuel via Shortcut FMS menu, I go to the INIT page 2 (Weight INIT) I insert the FOB and I automatically pull the ZFW and the ZFWCG using the right click on FMS respective button. The only way I can get the MD11 load manager to transfer the data across to FSX is to run it in the background. If I choose "Save Data" the loads are not remembered for my next flight! I've tried everything... loading the same situation... loading the MD11 aircraft from scratch etc... It makes no difference. The ZFW always defaults to 171.4???Best Regards,Martin Neep

Just a heads up.Observations: 1. Left main gear inner wheel hubs protrude less that the other main gear's, they look more like the centre gear hubs.2. The horizontal part of the rear of the wing tips behind the winglets where the static dissipators are look hollow i.e. a surface is not showing.3. The Angle of attack vanes are fixed in the drooped static position, so look odd in flight. Can't win here unless they're animated.Nice model from what I've seen.

A friend and me are working on this home cockpit based around MD11 right now. It has a fixed base, completely closed cockpit, with 2 seats and 2 jump-seats. It runs 5 displays and one projector for outside view. The projector uses back-projection trough a mirror for the increased size and is projected on a cloth (not the best quality just yet). There's one display for overhead, 2 for PFD-ND left-hand and right hand and one for EAD screens and one for the radio stack (that is not currently working on Windows 7). We use mouse for input right now (experimenting with dual mouse pointers soon) but planning to switch to either touch-screens or physical switches via MIDI-USB.The…

Hi,I am enroute to FAJS planned arrival is 03L length 14495ft Elevation 5558ft. Dont have my laptop and FCOM with me and need some help with the wind additives.Arrival winds are currently 010/17 knots gusting to 27 knots my Vapp is 168 knots as I will be arriving at MLW.Here's the confusion - from memory the additives are half the steady state wind plus the full gust, that would give me a Vapp of 186 knots?? so I'm sure I'm getting something wrong. I know the the MD11 lands fast at MLW and high elevation's but 186 sounds too high.Can anyone check this.Thanks

Hi,When trying GO AROUND at SOME airports (not all airports fail ) although I initially seem to follow the Flight Path I entered into MCDU in AUTOPILOT, I suddenly get differing failures. Sometimes I get an FSX error which causes me to shut down, sometimes an apparent failure of AUTOPILOT although cockpit indications show me as still being ok. I even get situations where the aircraft is still flying seen by looking out of the window but the displayed flight path seems stuck in the same place.It may be coincidence but I have been successful (eventually)at all airports except Heathrow. Although I use an "add-on" I get the same results with it disabled.Can anyone give me a p…

I remember reading about this subject before but cannot remember the details nor the location of the article I read.Anyways I was wondering if I still have to pay full price ($79.99) to update my fs9 MD-11 to fsx as opposed to just paying the $40 in order to make up the full price of a fsx/fs9 combo.I'm pretty sure I will have to pay the full price but would just like reassuring on this subject.When I bought the MD-11 less than a year ago I was determined to stick to fs9 even though I actually had fsx installed but now it just seems sensible to do the majority if not all my flying in fsx.Thanks for the helpRichy

hi, can anyone help? i had to uninstall then reinstall md11 which was successful however i now only have default pmdg livery for allversions. when i uninstalled i checked add/remove programs and found all previously installed liveries still there, so as to in my wayof thinking give me a clean reinstall, l deleted each one manually. since found out that you are not suposed to do this,and i thinkthis maybe where the problem lies. if anyone has any suggestions i would be most gratefull, i am using fs9 on xp. thanks. graeme1 :(

Hi friends,i'm so frustated with this issue. I have FS9 PMDG MD11 and after install it i did some flights to learn about and then i was used LOad Manager to introduce a new load profile on MD11F. that's start my frustation due to PMDG MD11F no initialize (test after load for 20 seconds ), i can't see displays (All are black) and if i select a cold an dark situation i can't connect battery (This button show amber text "OFF"). Hi all,having trouble entering Lat/Long waypoints in FMC off Australian SID/STAR procedures. Have tried entering in the format according to the manual for FMS but that is Northern hemisphere and trying to understand how to enter them for Southern hemisphere (i know it shouldnt make a difference). Eg. on Aust arrival chart for YMML a waypoint is listed as S38 01 00 E145 18 42 so i typed it in as that without the spaces between numbers and include / but i get format error.I entered S380100/E1451842 but format error. When reading manual they have "." between them at end. I thought from our charts they are already degrees, decimal minutes. Confused . . . anyone wit…
