PMDG MD-11 (Legacy Version)

Hey guys i got this product........then wheni start up to fly with the md11...it initializes for about 20s.thats fine...but when i record a video of it....(anything!!) ..and then i see it again..there are no landing gears or flaps and the panel goes black...help me guys its all back to normal when i press escape and the initialization occurs again!!

Is there a site as easy to use as Airnav for sid and star charts for the EU?I have tried Euorcontrol, but I just can not get anywhere. I log in and try to go to basic applications, java does its thing, but I always get some kind of error message.Rod Storer

Hey I have searched around and can't seem to find this one, if it has been asked or is in the documentation don't be affraid to give me a RTFM ;). I use airhauler and usually the aircraft starts up from a cold and dark state from the .flt file itself that AH sends to FSX... I noticed that with the PMDG MD-11 this is not the case, it appears that the A/C has some setting that overrides this and starts up with the A/C on... Now I know you can click on the Add-ons menu and load a new panel state but I was wondering if there is a config file that you can edit so that it loads from a cold and dark state by default on startup?Tyson Rose (just in case I haven't set up my sig)

Hi, after a long time flying the 744 exclusively i returned to the MD11 a while ago and i love it, i dont really know why i ever left her, because it is something about the MD11 that i can't really put my finger on, but it is an exciting plane. Hello MD-11 captains,Has anyone noticed that the movable horizontal stabilizers of the MD-11 visual model, are in fact not moving in the same pace, so that each stabilizer is pointing to different angles, though the difference is barely noticeable.I wasn't aware of this issue since I've purchased the product, because it never caused me any problem. It was a coincidence that I've noticed this funny issue.The issue is free in neutral position (0.0 unit), but the difference is getting more distinct while the stabilizers move up to 4.0ANU, you can judge by the photos.I wish that I'm not sounded picky, I'm just wondering if there is any simple way to correct this, for instance…

hi together,i bought me a registered version of fsuipc to put several key assignemnts of the md11 on my keyboard and saitek yoke. some are working fine (i. e. eingine start buttons, autobreak switch) , but i dont know why, some are since a complete new installation of fs9 not working (like autothrottle disconect and the SD display buttons).i am always doing a mouse marco with fsuipc in the 3d panel an then i assign the buttons with it in the fsuipc. on my old fs9 it worked absolutly fine, but since this new installation it is on this two things not working anymore.i already thried du make a new fs9.cfg and deletet all assignements and reinstalled my md11 but alway the sam…

Once the air-driven generator has been deployed, is there some way of stowing it again without reloading the aircraft (or panel state)? I've tried to reset failures, but the ADG remains deployed.

Hey forum,I'm flying my MD-11 with real-time weather updates (29.56 InHg but otherwise normal sky conditions) and the speed tape/ND compass is jumping all over the place. It skips around one to two degrees and keeps alternating between the two at about 10Hz (same with the speed tape). Also, the autopilot is instructing the plane to make brief turns from side to side, even though the route is dead ahead. I'm guessing this is an issue with the weather setting, but I have never seen anything like this before. Should I stay away from real-time weather updates?Regards

Until now, I've had practically no problems with the MD-11, however after taking a break from flight simulator for a few months, I came back to this:I'm used to seeing red crosses when certain systems are shut off, but never these green crosses. Everything has become inoperative; overhead, screens, FMC - nothing works. I'm going to try reinstalling it, but I was wondering whether any of you guys have ever come across this?It seems whenever I leave FSX unused for more than a week something goes wrong :(*EDIT*The green crosses appear moments after initialization, as opposed to any other information which gradually fades in.

I like to set up my payware planes just enough (eg the CS757) so that nav and vnav will work untill i shut it off on the last couple of legs for a landing, and I was just wondering what is the minimum I need to do on the tutorial to get the plane up in the air on its own?

I was starting a flight from KLAX to KSEA and I entered KLAX/KSEA and it said not in data base. I had to reinstall flight sim and the MD-11 and something is missing. :(

Hi,What is the proper workflow to add the landing approach and runway when assigned.I program everything through the STAR and thought that a normal work flow would be to add the approach and runway when assigned. However when I try this approach I alway end up with the STAR being added to the flight plan again so it's duplicated and I have to CLR the duplicate waypoints.Thanks,Doug

Since I bought a new computer,I've been having a problem saving flights and panel states.In the case of the flight,,it seems the FMC data is not saved and in the case of the panel state,it says "Cannot create".The OP system is windows vista home premium 64 bit.Hardware is I7 920,9 gigs memory,GTS 260 video card.The FSX folder is now in Program files (x86)Should I be modifying the file path?Any help appreciatedRon

Exactly what does a real M11 pilot feel on the control column in terms of control forces? It is my understanding that the ELF function will generate an artificial airspeed-dependent control force. I am only just finishing my PPL ground school books but it's my understanding that hydraulically-actuated flight controls don't give the same kind of feedback as do the mechanical ones on your average C172...Ilari Kousa

I just installed FSX on my new Windows 7 (64 bit). Using the built in FSX flight planner I build and save a new flight plan. Example, KSFO-KLAX.pln Now the MD11 FMS returns a message stating "Not in data Base" when I try to enter KSFOKLAX into the CO ROUTE field. Could this have anything to do with where Windows 7 is storing the flight plan, vs where MD11 is looking for the plan? What do I have to do to fix this?Thanks,Jim

First of all I want to say hello for everyone. ;)And secondly I have got a question. Is it any way for setting cold and dark panel as a defautl panel for MD-11? The same question for Boeing 747-400 (both of version for FS2004)?I suppose I might create a flight, set as button as I want and save this flight with markins 'Default flight' but I want to avoid it - I did this for Cessna 172 and my Boeing 737 NG work good, but not the rest of PMDG aircrafts. :/I want to remark that I want to have all PMDG aircrafts with cold and dark panel as a default panel (without any importing).Thanks for helping. :)

Hey guys, I'm having a small problem lately with the VC. When I turn the plane both taxiing and flying my pilot slides across the cockpit, he just doesn't stay in his seat. Is there a button to push or somthing that would keep the pilot in his seat?-Travis

I have this topic already posted, but reactions are stopped, so once again .....PMDG MD-11 brake problem in FS2004:When I have landed with Autobrakes on, sometimes the brakes will not go off....I turn the autobrake-switch to off, but brakes stay on and then it is impossible to taxi.The "brakes" text in the left corner of the screen will not disappeaer, even if I turn the autobrakes-switch off and on and off again.Also the A/P is off, I try moving the pedals: nothing will help: I need full throttle to taxi a little, the only thing is to restart FS9.When I am online (VATSIM) it's not so nice if you cannot vacate the runway........I have the CH products yoke, rudder pedals, …

Hi there. Need someone's help with this one, as I've searched the forum, but this specific problem doesn't come up.I've done Tutorial 1, and I'm now on Tutorial 2 (Advanced). My system and addon specs are in my sig. I've positioned the different files as instructed, and I don't have FSDT airports. My addons are also on my sig (GEX, UTX, etc.)Here's my problem: when I reach the FMC section where I need to enter the SID and runway for KORD, I hit a snag. When I press the LSK to select KORD to take me to the LAT REV page, I get a "Not allowed". It won't let me get to the LAT REV page. a few weeks back i announced that i was planning a fly in for as many MD11 pilots as i could find. if we can get 20 we are up and running. I am hoping to do it the first weekend in August, on the friday/saturday (day or night GMT) the air field will be Lajes Field or Curacao intl and we will just show up and have fun. not sure if it will be on vatsim/Ivao yet. if we can get enough pilots i'll contact them.Post here if your interestedcheers guys
