PMDG MD-11 (Legacy Version)

hi pmdg team i had experienced an problem,in my flights. when the plane is cruizing on FL260,FL260 is cruize alttiude and then i get a windshear and the plane is on FL261,and holds FL261 and in the fmgc i enterred the cruize alt FL260 the plane dont descends to FL260(other planes do that)the plane does hold FL261.i dont think thats normalYunus Aktas

I am trying to enter a future fix (not the current fix I'm navigating to) as a VOR/radial/distance (SFO121/16 in "Boeing-speak"). I've looked at the FMS manual but can't see where this is referenced (I've also tried going to the F-PLAN page and entering the above syntax following an existing fix, but I'm being told "Not Allowed". After take off from an airport without SIDs, it is useful to define a waypoint saying 'Climb on runway heading until reaching e.g. 3000ft'. hello everyone, this topic may be in the system somewhere, but i thought it might be worth mentioning again particularly to those like me who forgot about it or for those still on an early learning curve. last night i did a flight from katl-kaus approx.800miles in the MD11 - but this applies to all aircraft with FMC - i selected arrival runway 17R where the chart ils frequency stated 110.95 but on approach/land nothing happened. i aborted the flight and investigated the fault. on going to the msfs map at KAUS i noticed the ILS frequency for runway 17R was 110.3 which to my understanding this frequency will supercede the chart frequency on the charts (assuming you are usi…

Hi all, my pmdg md11 is having some serious trouble at start up the screen shakes all over the place, in vc some of the buttons are missing, when i switch views it looks in pieces and finally a black screen happens and its all over. Always departuring from KORD (to L.A.),most of times after the take off, and always before the first VOR named BFD.I've only default sceneries. Ultimate traffic 2, with 80% of airlines traffic and 20% of general aviation. Following the tutorial(nr 1) you have to open PMDG's loadmanager. After closing the manager, I click the FSX icon on the taskbar for FSX to come back fullscreen. No response the only way is to open taskmanager and activate FSX.Also accasionally in the simulation fulscreen FSX goes to the taskbar and I have to use taskmanager to solve the problem.Anyone recognizes this problem?The installation of FSX and the PMDG- M11 is done following PMDG's manual.Regards,Peter Koning

I have noticed that my FMS database is older than the one used in the advanced tutorial of Markus Burkhard.I did succesfully run the first tutorial with the exception that the flightplan in the FMS uses a CRZ FL 37500 instead of 37000.To be able to try the advanced tutorial I have to update the FMS.Questions:If i update using the navigraph site, is it still possible for me to run the first tutorial?Is it not strange that the update is not in the download, I purchased two week ago?If I update, are there things that need special attention?Regards,Peter Koning

I've managed to fly the first tutorial. Iwant to try things out. Lets say from Amsterdam to Paris.What additionally sofware do you absolutely need to plan such a fligt. Is there any possibility that the glideslope logic can be changed so that it is possible to use IDLE CLAMP or V/S or even FPA, when above the G/S with the LOC captured, just like in the real A/C?I know I keep banging on about it, but it really would be the icing on the cake! At the moment, you can't caputre the LOC and be above the G/S because the aircraft takes on a dive and leaves the current vertical mode. With CDA's being so common these days for fuel efficiency and noise abatement, it would be nice to have this feature, even if just to descend through the G/S and then capture it from below.I've even tried using LOC ONLY* in the FMC, but when you select APPR/LAND to a…
