PMDG MD-11 (Legacy Version)

Hey Guys, I was having issues with the MD-11 so I decided to un-install it. I went to Control Panel Add/Remove Programs, and the Setup.exe kept crashing and prevented me from uninstalling. So I went ahead and deleted the folders manually, and also cleaned out the registry. Now when I try to re-install it, it says, "The installer is an older version than currently installed," and that I must uninstall the update 1.20 or something like that before I can continue with the installation process. I can't un-install what its asking, and I am unable to find any more PMDG file on my Hard Drive, so as of know I am all out of ideas. Hoepfully someone can help me, and also this is Wi…

I was flying the advanced tutorial from KORD to KJFK this morning. I was outside of KORD just past Dufee and I wanted to check the data in Real Temp. I was in Windows mode and full screen for Windows mode, I reduce the window size so I could see Real Temp and I noticed that Lake Michigan was black. I went back to full screen in Windows mode and then reduced the Window size again and this time the whole screen was black. I went back to full screen in Windows mode and the screen was still black. Hi, I have found that using the HDG bug and an open climb (Level Change) leads to a crash of both sims. Steps to reproduce the crash: 1. Load the aicraft, enter destination and departure. 2. Select a SID at the departure airport and take off (don't select any arrival/rwy for the destination so that there is an discontinuity). 3. After Take off leave the route with the HDG bug and turn in the cruise alt and select a level change to that. 4. Play around with the HDG and the alitude, force it to chage between cruise clb and descend modes by changing the FMC cruise alt or by level change climb / descend. 5. Hi I would just like to thank the guys at PMDG for a great effort in helping me come back to flight sim. I have been into simming since the 98version and have mostly into bush flying short strip stuff. with a small intrest in jet. i have your 737 for fs9 and that is great. then because i don't run fs9 anymore i had to look for a replacement aircraft so i looked at the JS41 and i am very happy with it why because you have to fly it by the book. But i was still missing something then along came the MD11 i love this plane because it will not let get away with sloppy flying and after all these years in flight sim i am finally learning to how to use and FMC.Thank you.

How do I save the flight without the ap disconnecting and the flight plan being lost

Don't get me wrong...this is a first class (pun intended) sim but something is wrong. When following the LHR-Zurich tutorial everything is absolutely perfect until I reach DET5 at 6000ft. The tutorial says that the FMA altitude of 6000ft will no longer be magenta - check. Then it says to dial-in 37000 on the FCP, and the aircraft will start climbing in profile mode - NO. It does not say anything about pushing Prof again but if you do then everything is ok then passing FL100 the FMS is supposed to change to ECON climb speed - NOT. What am I doing wrong? Folks! This might be a very noob question. But I'm a very noob pilot, so, whatever.Yesterday I was flying from LAX to SFO, and in cruise I had the FMS predicting a little more landing weight then expected. So I decided to finally test the fuel dump system.The fuel system was in Auto mode. The momment I click the Dump Fuel Switch, I get the Left and Right Dump Valve disagree alerts on my SD. So I took the QRH, and it says "verify all TRANSFER and XFEED valves are off". The thing is that they can't be turned off! The Systems Manual says the transfer and xfeed valves will be kept on if there is a problem on the dump valves. My question is: Am I really having a problem in the…

Hi GurusSorry for my perhaps stupid question. If have just recieved the MD11 for FS9. Before going through the myriads of manual pages I liked to take a few manual take offs and landings.I have made some brief searches on my subject without any luck.My problem is that every time I have retracted flaps/slats and gear my ailerons lockup, leaving me with rudder only to control the plane.How do I release these aileron locks? :( RegardsHenrik PedersenGreenland

Hi ChumsJust bought a new pc with windows 7 with a big LCD screen, but the ground and a 2inch strip above glare screen dither terribly when flying my PMDG MD11. My old laptop was great but this is awful any suggestions I tried the bi tri anti anilising thingy. When I fly the MS 737 it is fine. Thanks

Hey guys! I've installed Vista 64bit so i could reap the benefits of higher ram. A strange thing happens with the MD-11, when the plane is on the ground the flight controls are smooth, but when the plane lifts off in the air, they become unstable. Can anyone help me out on this? HiOn two flights that i have made in the MD-11 all the screens and the switches on all the panels freeze but the aircraft keeps flying. The screens and panels do not unfreeze if you leave then for a while. I think the problem comes about when i cycle the views from the cockpit to external etc.I have look and I am unable to find any anti virus software running in the back ground. I also have the newest version of the MD-11Any ideas?Chris Finlay

Hello, my name is Boris and since two days I really have unknown problems with my beloved MD-11:I really do hope anyone can help me!Since a long time I fly the wonderful MD-11 of PMDG on FS9.1. At the beginning I never had problems with it. Now I had to re-setup my whole home network computers because something went wrong.Since the system is setup for new I have problems with the MD-11 in flight!At cruize level 340 I could fly yesterday for 2 hours with no problems. Then suddenly all 3 engines went down.!!!? They made a shutdown themselves fully automatically!! The plane was on autopilot and autothrottle and flew on NAV and PROF. No special weather situations. I can taxi the MD 11 out to the runway and takeoff. When I arrive at the destination and want to exit the taxiway the nosewheel steering will not allow me to steer the aircraft on to the taxiway. The MD 11 moves back and forth left to right. Any help would be appreciated.ThanksDon

Hi all, how glad i was to find "my" LH-Cargo MD11 painting @ PMDG's Website for free download. But :( there is a little mistake in it. Have a look at the registration on the vertical tail wich supposed to be "CO" but instead it was painted mirror-like :( (on both sides)Aside of this little mistake i am absolutely surprised, how such a complex machine like the MD11 with all the variations systemwide was able to find its way into the FSX , VERY good work, PMDG !!The flight caracteristics are superb, the panel is just simply perfect, the FMS is unbelievable realistic, whatever the next product will be from PMDG, it's on my shopping list.Best regards, Ron
