PMDG MD-11 (Legacy Version)

Is it possible to derate the climb power in the MD-11 i.e CLB1 or CLB2 ? thanks Chris Finlay

Hi! I've tried searching for this but I find Avsim forum searches are so difficult.Up until a few days ago I used only the 2D panel for the MD11 then decided to try the VC. I'm getting used to it except for one thing that may be a fault on my system. When I need to turn a knob the position of the curved "hand" seems excessively sensitive and flickers a great deal when near the target, making quick setting changes nigh impossible. Does this happen to anyone else and if so, is there a fix please?I'm using FS9.1 on Win7 64bit and have the latest MD11 update installed. I have a Geforce 9600GT video card and am using Nvidia driver 195.62.Iain Smith

Has anyone seen this before? The only recent change to my system was the installation of Ultimate Terrain USA/Europe. Also, my cabin lights stopped working for some reason. This is the FS9 version.

I have set the FMS to JetB, which has a freeze temp of -50c. I just flew from KLAX and made it have way to boston in real weather. outside air temp at 30,000 was -73C. Fuel froze and each engine flamed out. is it typical for an md-11 to descend and cruise a route at 10,000' to keep the fuel from freezing? I know it should take fuel about 5 hours to cool to the outside air temp but the md-11's fuel freezes in just an hour and a half. any input?

Hi everyone.I bought and installed the latest versione of MD11 directly from the server. Everything was OK except the sounds that are really really bad, very noisy but only when I am in 2D cockpit. They sounds like "crackcrack". I am sure you understand what I mean.I use Windows 7 64bit.I installed the latest driver for my sound card SOUNDMAX (ASUS P5B Deluxe). Also I installed latest driver for my Graphic Card Nvidia Ge-Force EN 9600 GT.My windows 7 - 64 bit is full updatated.Can you help me to fix this problem?Thank you very much.Raffaele

Hello Guys,I've purchased the PMDG MD11 for FS9. When I tried it the displays were black, so I installed Visual++ and updated it. But then there was an initialization-message ( I know thats OK). When it finished there were green Xs on the displays, and when I tried it in cold and dark modus there was a blue X. So I tried it again in cold and dark modus, but when I turn the IRS to NAV the warn-beacons (NAV off) were on, but only in dark and cold modus. In the normal-modus after initialization-message there are green Xs and the warn-beacons were off and the screen of the FMC is black. :( Please help me!P.S I've Vista 32 bit and tried it as Admin but nothing.

Hello folks, i am about to reinstall the MD11X on my fresh Windows 7 32 bit system with paying close attention to have a clean installation afterwards to avoid possible performance issues later on.During this reinstalling i realised some possible errors: First of all there is an inconsistency in the pax PW model.CFG as stating According to the freighter PW model.CFG the ".MDL" should be missing. Hi,FSX crashed due to a pmdgsounds.dll error. I uninstalled and reinstalled the md11 god knows how many times ( to the point the installer asks me to contact support lol) but the error is still there even with the md11 uninstalled!I searched the forums but I didn't find much.Is there anyway to get rid fo the error short of uninstalling fsx ?ThanksVic Nucera

What am I doing wrong? I'm flying the ILS approaches manually... therefore I disable the autopilot (yellow button on the yoke) ... this disables the autoflight, but not the auto-thrust... I'm also arming the spoilers and setting autobreak to "max" (or something else, other than off or t.o.)... but... on short final, the aircraft does nothing (not retarding) and even after touchdown (which is pretty difficult, when the engines run at full power), I can't make them stop... and, even disabling auto-thrust (standard FSX key) does not disable anything... and when I manually push the key on the throttles, it only disables for a short time... it's impossible to get the reverse t…

Good Evening Folks, I finished a repaint for MD-11, and it's all ok apart this two files i've posted in the topic title:PMDG_MD11_Tail_Left_LT and PMDG_MD11_Tail_Right_LTThe aircraft during day is perfect, with this two files i saved exactly as PMDG_MD11_Tail_Left_T and PMDG_MD11_Tail_Right_T (same paintings and format DTX5), because when i look at them in a PMDG Livery, they seem to me exactly identical!But during night when the "Tail's Light" is turning on, the tail is the same brillant as it is during the day, :( How can I resolve my problem? What is my error in saving theese two files?Thanks to all....

What does the registered version of FSUIPC help you with when flying the MD-11. I recently purchased the PFC column yoke & Cirrus Rudder pedals and was wandering if the registered version would make a difference. Anybody want to chime in!!jack noulet

Hello everybody,I have a problem with Alitalia Cargo MD11 livery for FSX. I downloaded it by pmdg's site but after I installed it, in the FSX menu I don't see the livery. I looked so the airplane folder and I discovered the the Alitalia texture folder is empty. No problem for other liveries, only foer this livery I have this problem. I just purchased FSBUILD in order to create FPs for the MD11.Would someone have the performance info for the MD11 available and the time to tell me how to create an EXPORT option for the MD11 in FSBUILD.I tried to get onto the FSBUILD forum, but there registration setup is not working at the moment.Thanks

aloha allmy md-11 works perfectly well under all conditions, even so when flying muliplayer sessions.recently i discovered VATSIM and its community - it is great and realistic flying with ATC!in order to operate it now with FSX they recommend using FSInn/FSCopilot (newest releases).and this is where my issue starts:connected to vatsim with FSInn panel open, everything with the aircraft md-11 works well. until.... until i reach about FL240 or higher when my speed and climbrate drops. there is no flare in the fms (shows 3 dashed) but the higher i want to climb (e.g. FL320, etc). the ATS does not cope anymore. the altitude climb stops and so does the airspeed (for example ra…

Hi,in order to get my GoFlight MCP to work with the MD11 I have use FSUIPC and assign keycommands to the various knobs. However, I find it quite tedious to open the Addon/PMDG/keycommand menu and then work via trial and error to see which key commands are still free and not yet used by FS. Does anyone have a link to a list with the key commands that are still free? I would appreciate any information.Kind regards,Christoph BeckP.S. THIS is in Regards to FMS entry on MD-11....Well, I know what this means. Problem is, Whenever I do any tutorial and enter the FL as 360 as it states, I get this error. I have to drop it to FL 260. Anyone know what would cause this error. Is it something in the aircraft.cfg file for the MD-11 possibly? I can work around it by flying at FL260 but I would prefer the more Fuel Efficient Altitudes for my flights.I love this aircraft!!!

Hello all of you guys/gals, I recently purchased the Md-11 and am slowly learning to fly this beauty. One slight problem.In the 2d cockpit view, I get great performance locked at 30 FPS and smooth as silk. This goes for the VC as well.However when I switch to the spot plane view, I get stutters like crazy, this goes for the outside views as well. Moving the gauge refresh rates down or up doesn't do anythin to help or hinder performance at all. I get this problem at big and small airports. It only goes away when at high flight levels. Hello,2 times i did a flight from TJSJ-KORD. And always around on decent i get AVNCS Fan Override. Which then speed goes direct overspeed. Altitude goes 100,000 ft when im really at like a 11. really i did a 5 hour flight and end up crashing that does not make me too happy. I did everything i could. Any help please!?!
