PMDG MD-11 (Legacy Version)

PMDG, when you release the next patch for the MD11, if there is going to be one, please change the behaviour of the MCDU popping up when an engine fails. For me, it gets in the way of the EAD and maybe also the behaviour of the Fire Handles popping up when theres an engine fire.thanks

This thread could be posted in almost any forum as this problem happens to PMDG MD-11, PMDG 744 and 748 and CS 752, 762, and 763; however the last time this happened was this morning in a MD-11 going from KORD to PANC. With the MD11 I was 3:32 into to the flight. Last night it happened twice in the PMDG 744 on the same route at about the two hour mark both times. Between pre-flight and fight I have wasted ten hours. It occurs in all these planes at one time or another. It only happens at crz altitude; never at TO, climb, descent, approach or landing. I just reformatted my hard drive. Went from vista ultimate to windows 7. All that has went very well. I re-installed my FS9 and updated it to version 9.1 And now I am trying to install my md11 and it keeps telling me I dont have version 9.1 and wont let me install the md11. Yet... I DO have version 9.1 I apologize if this is in another post somewhere... I couldnt find it if it was. Any help or workaround would be greatly appreciated! Thanks to all! Tim Grant

Hello, the blue chronometer in the Nav Display meassuring false. Dep time 11:25, landing 20:55. The Chronometer shows a flighttime of 07:08 hours. Whats wrong? I'm using FS FrealTime and in the FSUIPC the option Keep FS clock sync... is activated and I use Autosave. Cheers, Sascha

After five, if not six tries, I have finally completed the second tutorial. The landing was not pretty, but I actually got through the whole thing and did all the navigation per the tutorial.I just felt like telling someone.Rod Storer

Hello,I'm flying only a PMDG MD11. Nothing else installed on my FSX. Scenery and other stuff all payware. I tried now 17 flights and still after 1 our 2 hours of flight this happends:My VC is becomming really strange. I can look through it. Hi There I've noted that an increasing number of US airport IAPs include RNAV approaches. Is it possible to set up an RNAV approach using the MD11 FMC? Does this type of approach have to be hand flown or can you use the automatics? The approach that I have in mind is the PHNL IAP for Runway 8R. HelloSeveral days ago I have bought a few programs for FSX / MD-11:- FOC (Flight Operation Center)- Topcat (Performance calculator)- Navigraph (Charts)Until now, I could not figure out how to create a flightplan with FOC for the PMDG MD-11. Hi.I bought the PMDG MD-11 for FSX today.I did a search of this forum but didn't find a problem like this. I was doing the Tutorial Flight for the first time. Everything went like clockwork until I got to the point where I had to lower the landing gear. When I clicked on the gear lever, the center gear deployed, but the main gear and nose gear didn't even move. Unfortunately, I didn't take a screen shot to show you, but it looked pretty funny with just the center gear lowered. Is there anything that could have caused this to happen? Like a hidden failure? hi everyone, i have not read a post on this subject before so i wonder if anyone has an answer. i fly without ATC and have it disabled in MSFS, its only recently i moved to fsx and did not have this problem whilst using FS9. during a flight yesterday using the MD11 from KJFK - KORD, some 700miles i kept getting ATIS messages and ATC messages to Orbit aircraft, not constantly but from time to time and could not understand why, also, although i dont sit watching the monitor constantly for an hour and a half whilst en route there were times the MSFS box containing the scenery terrain loading would appear from time to time very briefly and this also i could not understand. t…

Would anybody out there be at all interested in making a fictional livery for the MD-11F? This aircraft used to be in United Airlines fleet as a DC-10 freighter. When attempting to use the load manager for the MD-11, a recent purchase, the series manager at the top of the screen go blank and the nothing else happens WHEN i push on of the loading buttons. As read earlier the fix was a update to C++ that was done. Repairing the files was also done. Next suggestion?Steve Carlson

When I go to enter the first Lat Long waypoint in the FMS it says not in database (N19W170). This is the way I format it in the 747 and have no problem.Can anyone help why this is happening. Please correct me if I'm dreaming this up but this is something that is bugging me on my last few -11 flights.My past few departures have involved ATC vectors and a clearance direct to a waypoint on my route. I seem to recall that using DIR TO on the FMC would automatically engage NAV (reverting from HDG) on the autopilot, if I was on an intercept heading. Reading through the manuals, I can't seem to find anything to confirm/deny this. My last few flights with vectors to a navaid and using DIR TO, I had to press NAV explicitly. Can anyone (kindly) shed some light for me?Thanks!

Does anyone know if PMDG is still in buisness? I purchased the MD11 pack for FSX and FS9 and can't install because no password came with files. I have tried for days to get in touch via email. But No Response. Hope the customer service is not indicative of the product they sell

This has happened out of the blue.. I loaded up the PMDG MD11 as normal but the guages are blank in 2D and in VC most of the textures around the VC are missing, I can see through the overhead, PFD etc. It worked fine yesterday, no changes have been made to the sim and IU have done a complete re install of the Aircraft. I remember seeing a screenshot on here with the same problem but my search has not turned anything up. The 744 and all other aircraft display correctlyThanks

Hi guys,I can't save settings/panelstates/flightplans of my PMDG MD 11. I also can't save any FSX settings. (Wich means: I can save PMDG and FSX settings for ONE session. If I restart FSX there reseted. HelloThe weekend gave me a little time to go deeper into the secrets of the MD-11. However, a couple of questions were raised (at least for the moment):1. I found the Alternate Gear Extension lever in the VC, but where is the Center Gear Extension Handle hidden?2. In the MD11 key assignment i can map keys to "Raise/Stow AltExt Lever" and "Pull Ctr Gear Ext Handle". Why do i neeed the "Initiate Alt Ext Sequence" key?3. (Off topic) I try to simulate a CABIN ALTITUTE failure (see EP.10.4). Is this possible with the failure system? I only found the CPC failure, but this is not was i want.Thanks in advance.

HiCan someone xplain me this, FMC and Fsx show me same wind but instrument in cockpit shows me a difference in 28 kn.!!!!!!Nine min later, same flight, suddenly wind's are the same in FMC and FSX, but i'm h*** out of track?????? ok so i got the PMDG MD-11 from a friend.I told him if i could borrow it so i took and installed it etc.So when im using it on FSX like 5 mins later the elevators jam and its like a century to fix them to the original position.When the MD-11 starts it starts normally but when 5 mins pass theres the jam and im really getting mad of it so i need help or is it normal?
