PMDG MD-11 (Legacy Version)

When I try to install the PMDG MD-11 in a completely clean FSX Steam Edition without FSX disc version installed I keep getting the error: "Could not locate a valid FSX.CFG location." I've tried everything I could find related to this issue but I can't get it to work. Can someone help me out? Thanks a lot in advance.

I have got PMDG MD-11X BOXED EDITION. After Microsoft FSX Service Pack 2 were installed all the MD-11X gauges have been black in the 3-D cockpit and the yoke is turned left but the throttles moves and the airplane moves too. In the 2-D cockpit the panel is grey and no gauges. The plane was uninstalled and then installed again useing the the serial number =the registration key , but that did not help. Could it be possible that MS FSX Service pack 2 is wrong installed ? Is PMDG`s Service Pack for MD-11X (FSX) meant for the boxed edition, too ? Could that help in this situation just like Just Flight has service packs for panel problems in DC-10 and A340 ? What might he…

Hi all, I have the MD along time now so i decided to upgrade the engine sounds and bought TSS PW package, i installed it as per the readme and it wouldnt work on the MD-F but would on the pax! I tried alot of troubleshooting to no solution, i then unistalled and reinstalled the MD and brought back the original sounds and again installed the TSS and hey presto the engine sounds have disappeared TSS maintains you rename the sound files and replace, which works on some of my other add on aircraft but this has me stumped, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Hi im having problems with my MD-11, the throttle is not moving and my joystick is connected, the yoke doesnt move, engines are "running", and all the gauges are dark. Please help me Thanks

Hi Pilots, after a long time I decided to fly the MD11 again! I noticed that nav, beacon and strob were not working..... But they did the last time I used the MD11. In the 737 / 777 the lights are working fine! Maybe someone can help me out?! Thanks a lot Steffen ____ Steffen Lutz

Hello Community! MD-11 is getting attention again! This is good news. it is a show to the makers of this noble aircraft, that they really did something right. Even after so many years of its publication, it is still in good use of the simmer community, including me. I just love that aircraft! I was wondering, where should I write, or from whom could I could request a weather radar integrated into the MD-11 cockpit, like they have in the B737- and B777- series? I am sure that that little extra detail would boost up it's sales, as well as ASN's sales.

Hi, Anyone still using GSX v1.7 or lower??? If so read on... Can someone do me a favor and provide the xml expression that are listed in the aircraft/door customization dialogs on GSX v1.7 or prior? I am searching for the custom door position/XML variable/state for starboard forward cargo door which has subsequently moved to the port upper cargo door in GSX v1.8. This will avoid having to re-install v1.7 just to get this info and then re-install GSX v1.8 again or having to dive into a Hex Editor just to find this small piece of code in the .MDL file. Nordic Global shut down at the end of May this year and transferred its fleet of 3 M11Fs to a new airline called Western Global. NGA had a plain white livery, and from a few photos you can find by searching for Western Global Airlines, it looks like all they did was paint over the NGA logo! It should be an easy repaint! But alas, still beyond my skills. Does anyone want to try to modify the old OH-LGC in the file library and update it to reflect these birds' new life?

Hello forum, I just bought the PMDG MD11 on the shop from PMDG.com. Now when I try to install the product, the wizard shows up with the following message for about 2 seconds. Then the windows closes itself and nothing more happens... I can see a process in the task manager, which is running idle. I tried some things: Run the setup as administrator compatibillity mode wait for 30 min to show up something Nothing helps. Please help me if you got a solution for the problem. Is it possible to change flight levels by 100 instead of 500. Flying over China you fly 100 above your flight level, so 361 for example. But I cannot set this. I can only get close if I change the setting on the MCP to meters Thanks, David Lee

Hello everyone, I have been flying this bird for years with out any trouble. I love PMDG aircraft. I recently did an FSX reinstall. When I start a flight with the MD-11 it stops counting down at about 17 or 16, then all I hear are the engines trying to start. Cannot choose FSUIPC. I can even load cold and dark and still hear the engines trying to start. Completely uninstalled. Re downloaded a new installer with my antivirus software off. Removed everything MD-11. Cleaned my registry. Ran the FSX registry repair before and after reinstalling the MD-11. Fresh FSUIPC install ver. 4.9.3.9 Still have the same problem. Still cannot open FSUIPC to set a profile. Within the past couole of days and after usiing the flight loader Program correctly lets say I want to load 50,000 lbs of uel for a short flightand set the lider to 50.0 and the TOCG and ZFWCG is set correctly and SAVE. Naturally, only the CARGO WT is saved not the fuel. Upon starting FS9 and loading the flight , I notice I will be above the MAX LNDG WT with 160,000 + lbs min fuel showing.. Now the best I can do is defuel to 67,000 lbs which can take up to an hour. Is there any other way to fis the problem? It has just started! Thanks! Alex S.

Hello, I have to confess, I'm angry... I once bought the MD11, flew it on FSX and everything was fine! But then my computer crashed, I had to set up a new one. I could access all my online accounts, so I dl'ed the MD11 and tried to install it with my well known data taken from my PMDG account site. The installer denied... I purchased it once again, paid for it the 2nd time, received new data and tried with that. Once again I was told my data was invalid. Hello guys.Here's a weird one.When i load up the md-11 on pmdg's default state i get 35-40 frames.When i load it from cold and dark and i align the irs's the frames drop to 8-14.Any help?

Hi I have noticed that some parts of the VC are flickering , not noticed this before as I'm normally a 2D flyer for Airliners but now I've a PC fast enough to handle the VC I thought I would give it a go . Any one else noticed this ? Thanks Rich

I have the order number and email, but not sure about what password should I use, if the current one or the one I used when I made the order, which I don't have right now. Or I guess the problem might be because the order is inactive and it needs to be reactivated by PMDG? Thank you.
