PMDG MD-11 (Legacy Version)

I know you guys arent making a pmdg MD-11 for fsx or p3d but is there perhaps anyway to make a brand new modern freighter for X-plane 10 with working circuit breakers and thats 64 bit i love the one you did for FSX and sadly there is no MD-11 for Xplane at the present time.

Does the md 11 work on steam edition? Is it possible to used a keyboard to control the plane?

Ok so a little background story... 2012 I was playing FSX with my new PMDG MD-11 giving myself the type rating to fly the beauty of the sky and my training airport was LGAV Athens by Fly Tampa sceneries. However while I am training myself all of the sudden major spikes from the ground (I believe a graphical glitch) just shoots up at the sky and FSX glitches and crashes. I think the gods were angry I flew to close to their temple or something I don't know. But seriously people kept telling me to lower my graphical options so that way the plane would run better. I had to reinstall my MD-11 because it was causing my FS to crash. On the installation wizard it says it is unable to validate my licence. Not too sure what that means. I use my MD-11 for a cargo VA and I can't fly without it. Please help

Hello I have had to re-download my PMDG MD-11 because some time ago I accidentley erased my backup drive when re installing XP and lost every backup I had including email backup too. Is it possible to get that key back again? I went the PMDG website and got my order# but no key. Can anyone tell what to do please? Thanks in advance..........John (tinhead59)

I have been trying to get into the support ticket site with no luck for quite some time. I am registered, have used it before. I can't get a reset, new password, nothing. Is there anyone that can help me with this? Would like to get my MD 11's up and flying again. Thanks

Hi, I have had my MD11 boxed edition for many years now but recently reinstalled FSX. I reinstalled my MD11 thinking id not yet done so when in actual fact i HAD. Whilst not paying proper attention I continued the installer and reinstalled over my MD11 install. Now when i load my MD11 I have no gauges, just black screens. Yoke is fully turned left and I cannot click ANY buttons in the aircraft. My throttles, flaps, speed brake levers do not move either. Can someone help me with this? Thanks in advance, Mark

Hello I've tried to fly with my MD-11 from KSLC to KSEA. Everthing ran well so far. But after having intercepted ILS 34C (about 10 miles before touchdown at KSEA) the autopilot did not disengage properly (pitch was blocked) - this was my first attempt. At the second one I was on the approach of 34C and everything ran properly, however 5 miles before touchdown I received the FSX message: "no response". I have used MD-11 many times in Europe, even with "real weather" and complexe sceneries and had no similar problems. The audio, systems and external visual model is still top of the line. I know PMDG has said that the MD-11 is EOL, but everything changes, even Prepar3d support is coming for a few other models. A compability update to Prepar3d v2 and a touch-up of the virtual cockpit would be my biggest wish for the FS-scene. Although i'm not working with financials at PMDG, I think it could be an idea to make this the first PMDG Prepar3d product, to get some extra sales on this great simulation... Just my two cents.

Hello, I installed a download of the PMDG MD-11 to FSX Steam Edition. It works fine at times but then at random times the throttle is not able to be controlled by the joystick(Logitech Xtreme 3d pr0).Yes i am using Window 8.1 but thats not the only problem,when this happens the elevators glitch in a way i cannot explain so i left a video.I hope for a solution. Hello, I bought a boxed version of your PMDG MD-11 and I have a little problem with it. I'm using Windows 8.1, so I already know that there are problems with disconnecting joysticks. But I was able to fix this bugs with a tool, so now: When I start a flight with the MD-11, after some seconds/minutes I can't control the throttle any more. This problem only appears with the MD-11 and only with the throttle, I'm still able to use the elevator or aileron. I hope for a helpful answer. Regards from Germany

Hi, I want to make sure I'm correct about something here. After the engines are started up and stabilized, am I supposed to shut down the APU myself or does the environmental system shut it down? I always thought the system shuts it down automatically but when I checked the overhead panel, I noticed that the APU would still be running and I have to shut it down. Ken.

Just purchased the MD-11 installed and validated just fine. Started FSX-SE chose the MD-11 and flight route I wanted to fly. As soon as the aircraft loaded, no instruments. Just dark spots. Also fly the 737, and 747-400 and 800 no issues there!!!!

Please could someone advise. I have FSX Acc on a 3 screen system with NVidia 680 card and 5760 * 1080 resolution (60Hz). When I start the PMDG MD11, having first loaded the default Trike and then a saved MD11 location, I'm getting a flashing strobe type effect on the screen for about 30 seconds and the a flashing mouse cursor thereafter. Not seeing this with other aircraft from PMDG or Majestic or Leonardo or Aerosoft or Flight Sim Labs etc I'v seen another posting on this forum, reporting similar behavior but no reported solution. I recently purchased the MD-11 for the freighter and I can't hear any engine sounds at all. When in the VC, I can hear the packs, and all other systems that you can normally hear, but when I go to external view, I can still hear them and no engine sounds. Even when I go to AI traffic or different tower view, the sounds are still heard. It is quite frustrating because I want hear the engines. It is also quite unrealistic too. Even when I am in cold and dark, I still hear the packs and AC air blowing in. Help would be much obliged. Thanks

Hi guys, new with posting here at the forum, Have problems with some PMDG products. I have the 737-800/900 NGX, B747-400X, B747-8X, MD-11X and Jetstream 4100 installed to my computer. They are all fantastic to fly, but recently when I bought a new computer with windows 8.1 and install FSX only the 737NGX works. When selecting any of the other aircrafts, FSX immediately crashes. Don't know what I should do, only get a warning when starting FSX that there is a problem with a PMDG DLL file. Had hoped that someone here may have a solution to this problem? I fly this aircraft once in a while, somewhat less often than (little bit less then) NGX, 777 and Airbus-X because Douglass (MD-11 or MD-88) are a bit more complicated. In the past month I've been flying double-time the Coolsky MD-80 and that has been figured via videos, questions and etc. Now I need to catch on with MD-11. Ok with prelude. The systems, start-up, FMS and Autopilot I do understand and that is ok. I have a problem on take off though: So far, I managed the VS rate manually until I was in a stable climb and heading at like 3000 ft (same with NAV). Hello everybody, I've got a problem with the MD-11 when I try to enter a flight plan manually. Whenever I try to enter the arrival and destination airport in the INIT page (for example EGLL/LSZH) , fsx freezes and then crashes to desktop. It doesn't matter what kind of airport I try to put in it always freezes. I also tried different panel states, but nothing works. I also tried to reinstall the MD-11 but that did not fix the problem either. Interestingly loading the company route from the tutorial works, but when I the try to provide an alternate airport the sim crashes again. I have a question how to change size of 2d DU ( display units ), cause they are annoyingly big. I did same modification for 737 panel.cfg entries, but with MD11 no success so far. Anyone did that ? OK, just found and changed. Subject not valid.
