PMDG MD-11 (Legacy Version)

I recently bought the PMDG MD-11. I know how to load the Cold and Dark panel but i first have to enter the game and load it from there. Is there also a posibillity to start the MD-11 with Cold and Dark panel state from the beginning from my flight?Greets,David.

Just loaded my MD-11 for the first time in a while and the cockpit instruments show big blue crosses. I know this probably means it isn't installed correctly (yes, before anyone suggests it, or that it's an illegal copy: rest assured, it's not: I have the original CD-ROM ... :smile: ) Is there any way to get the a/c back to proper operation (maybe using the PMDG CD-ROM, or my installation key?) or is the only solution to reinstall from scratch? Why would this happen? It was all OK when I last flew the a/c and I haven't changed any hardware or whatever? Thanks. (I'd post at PMDG, but I think they are no longer interested in FS9).

Can the MD-11 work in P3D v3.1? Just got P3D this week and have the MD-11 for FSX. I have the migration tool but have not tried it yet. I heard it can mess up the P3D files.

PMDG, I know you have said numerous times that you have ditched the MD-11, but as I can see, with these new platforms coming out, and the community showing more and more interest in it as time goes on, it may be wise to re-do or update her, Some texture updates and integration of systems from other products and you're good. Personally, I own FSX:SE and have the 737 NGX and 777, I again, would love to see this blast from the past return, reborn. but sadly, there is just no love for the MD-11. Hi, Is anyone having the same problem. I always have this wobbling when cruising with AP. Its not always this severe. I'm using FSX:SE, ASN, Accu Feel and ezdok.

Hello all, I been having issues reinstalling the MD-11, I already contacted PMDG and the solutions I got are not giving me any progress, this product was working fine, now I don't know why this is happening, I know PMDG is not selling this product anymore but they still doing the support?? I tried everything I was able to find online related to this error, also enable and disable the windows firewall, ran it as admin, etc etc and nothing, please does anybody can help me please? also on Facebook a few people are saying having the same issue, thanks. Before I totally uninstalled all PMDG aircraft from my FSX-SE----the only sim running----so that I could install the latest ConcordeX, the MD-11 worked flawlessly. Made numerous flights with it. All in Windows 10 64-bit Pro. I managed to get ConcordeX to work in Steam, and one by one re-installed the PMDG aircraft, starting with the 737NGX, then the 777, and finally the MD-11. But it is only the MD-11 which is causing Steam to crash with the following error as per EventVwr: Faulting module path=C:\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\fsui.dll Can any one kindly shed some light on this error please, and what is causing it? My question is this and maybe you guys can help. When I start FSX and click on the MD11 I wish to use, the tail features and most of the engine features are not showing up. I get the Engine blades and most of the wing mounted engines but the tail is missing. As soon as I figure out how to post a photo of what I am dealing with, I will do so. Till then, any answers??

Hi MD11 pilots, I did a search but nothing came out on this. My MD11's rudder trim moves to the left by itself during take-off. I first noticed it when in cruise I realized the aircraft was flying crossed-controls. Left rudder, right aileron. Since then I've caught the rudder trim wheel all moved to the left after take off. After I zero it, it stays there. Anyone seen this? Thanks, Rui Laureano

Hi Guys, Since last reinstall i have issues with fonts all over the flightdeck. I used this bird in P3D with success for two years now o have this... Most visible part is FCP (screeshot below) and comparsion shot from FS9 installed on the same system (Win10 x64). Radio and overhead numbers seems to be off as well. Any kind of help would begreatly appreciated P3D FS9 Thanks!

HI !I've just passed to fsx now and when I want to initialize the irs with the fms, it says : NOT ALLOWED. I have flown the md11 in fs9 a hundred hours and never had that problem. What is wrong? the aircraft is with park brake, engine shut down. Thank you very much for helping.Chris Marty.

Hi! I have some problems with the MD- 11 and all the outside lights on the plane. The problem is that it will not show correctly on gorund. When I'm taxing and takes off at night, I can see the taxi/ landing light on the ground, aorund 300- 500 feet from the plane. It's very annoying , and it's very unrealistic. Pleas help me!!!

Hi, not sure if this is 'pilot error' or some bizarre bug, but quite often I go to power up then a few seconds later at least two of the engines power down, Iv tried setting the AC up in various orders but the aircraft still wont hold its throttle, but when it does work I do get the 'thrust set' vocal , is there anything im missing? thanks Barry Liver

Hello, I downloaded MD-11 and when I'm trying to install it and put e-mail, Order ID and password it gives me Unable to Validation Licence. Anybody knows how to fix it? Windows 8, FSX Thanks in advance. Disregard, fixed it.

So I caved in and ordered a boxed copy of the MD-11X from a reputable flight simulation retailer (*only had a few left! get yours today!). I'm planning on a full system refresh and bounce down to Windows 7 and FSX to make use of her, but I have a question as to the order of installation. Are there any known "order-of-installation" issues present with the legacy aircraft (MD-11 and/or 747) as it relates to the newer 737 and newer still 777? Or, should I be comfortable in installing the newer ones first while I wait for the delivery man to bring the MD-11 to my doorstep? Just curious if anyone had any feedback on the topic. Hi everyone Got a strange one. Whilst flying a MD11F last night the plane could no longer maintain airspeed after a couple of hours cruise. Decided to restart FS9 and now the displays are always black without any X's across them, so it's not a validation problem I think. Reinstalled the MD11 anyways (yes, it's a legal copy) but still nothing. The PMDG 747's displays are also playing up. All other addons are fine. Using Win 10 x64, FS9.1, latest MD11 installer. Hello, i´m a big Fan of the PMDG MD-11 an 747-400. Now I have a new Computer with the Windows 10 Operating System and a big problem. I can´t re install the MD-11 and also the 747-400. The Setup stopps with the following (german) Message: "Das Sicherheitsmodul konnte nicht ordnungsgemäß installiert werden. Das Programm kann nicht ausgeführt werden." I hope this is the correct translation: "The security module could not be Properly installed. The program can not be executed." G'Day all. Please read through this before trying an answer as I have done some things to try to fix my issue, which may save you some writing. I've just reinstalled the MD11 on a new machine (with a new FSX installation). Running Windows 7-64 and FSX Deluxe/Gold/Really-really-good-version ^_^ . Now, my problem is, the MD 11 has an offset tracking issue that always puts it right of course (except when passing right over the WP/station - it turns to grab that, then turns back away from the station to track right again). I don't remember if this was like this from the start, but it's been like this for a long while and I just live with it. My runways (with transition paths, the magenta line) are shown offsetted to the side on final approach. If I am to "autoland", I will obviously land/touch down 200 feet to the right of the runway. The glideslope system is ok though. This problem does not exist on take off, the runway with SID is properly displayed. The same happens with the 747 by the way but that I don't care about.

I have all the great PMDG products for fsx but was wondering if the 747 and MD 11 will be on P3D? Ive looked on the site and forum. Sorry if already brought up. Thanks again for the great aircraft.

Good day this is very new and it has been going on for 2 weeks now every time i take off with or with out me hitting auto flight the aircraft starts to loose thrust some times it even hit the ground it looks like my speed thrust wont go above 193 ... even if i hit profile and autoflight can any one help thank u im using fscreaw for the md11

I realize this may not be a big deal but the nav lights do not operate on only battery power. Since I haven't been able to find a wiring diagram, only schematics, I don't know how accurate this is. This would be the first airplane I have encountered that would be wired this way in my 50 years of aviation experience although I could be wrong. Yes, the nav lights will come on but only with external or APU power. Since FAA procedures specify nav lights on when an aircraft is powered up and the beacon light to be on when the engines are running, I don't understand why the airplane would be wired this way. In the Flight Control Panel is the presentation of HDG and Altitude not correct. In HDG is 33. It should be 330. in Altitude is FT 1000. It should be FT 1000. In the PFD is the correct information. I useFSX and Windows 10 How to fix this problem? ​
