PMDG MD-11 (Legacy Version)

Anyone have an Idea why I am getting error installing MD11X in my FSX windows7..errorNumber:0x800C0005 description: The system cannot locate the resource specified....off curse I did send a ticket to PMDG but I guess is going to take time to get an answers....I do own 737/800.900 running perfect but the MD11X no way it wants to take my validation I did all this from this link: Click Start, click Run (or just type into the search bar in Vista), type cmd in the Open box, and then click OK. Before you post a reply, please know that I work about 10 miles south of KOAK right in line with their takeoff/landing main runway 11 and I see FedEx MD-11 take off and land from there at least a dozen times a month, and they definetly look like they have no trouble climbing out at 4-6k FPM at 60-80% N1 with a pitch angle of 20 or greater. I have also ridden in the cockpit of an MD-11 taking off out of KOAK once because my friend is a pilot with FEDEX and the tower cleared us for a max performance take off because it was midday and we shot up like a rocket to the moon after only 5k feet of runway. We was eaisly doing 10k FPM for the first 30 seconds and gaining airspeed.F…

I recently purchased the PMDG MD-11. Absolutely everything works fine except the elevator trim. It will not respond the either joystick or keyboard commands. I have many addons aircrafts and I never had this problem before. I made sure engines were running and autopilot was off. Before reinstalling the aircraft or trying to create new keyboard commands via FSUIPC I thought I would post about to see if anyone else ever had a similar problems. Cheers...Claude.

I apologize in advance if someone has posted this before (I thought I remember reading it a long while ago but searched and couldn't find it), but I am having the following issue... As I am approaching localizer capture, as soon as I press the APPR/LAND button on the MCP (I usually do this when the localizer beam is one dot or less off) the aircraft suddenly and over-dramatically banks towards the localizer beam (causing it to go past it) then back in the other direction before finally intercepting it (i.e., if the beam is slightly off to the left and I am turning right to intercept, as soon as I press APPR/LAND instead of continuing the right turn and intercepting …

Hello,I have a small problem with the placement of the landing and taxi lights of my MD-11.Both are displayed some meters before the plane. I suggest that an add-on has changed something (maybe XGraphics) in the aircraft .cfg.I didn't have the problem with other planes like the PMDG 747.I hope that someone has an idea to fix that :-)I'm using FSX SP2 (no Acc) on WinVista 64Bit). Dear all, I just download PMDG's MD-11 last night and when I install the aircraft it apears with problems in external model as shown in the picture below. The tail and parts of both engines simply dispear in the external model. I´ve already try to re-install the aircraft but the problem persists. Does anybody knows how to fix it? Thank you! Tried to read through a lot of stuff but cant find anything on this but i shall explain my situation.Do a lot of LH flights in the MD. Mostly the max flight is ~5500nm, but most are under 5000nm. Based out of LSGG and fly to VHHH/KSFO/SBGR/WSSS/KJFK. Just did a flight from SBGR to LSGG, and loaded the MD-11 via the load manager (after collecting my load figures from my airlines VAFS system). and then load the fuel onboard after doing the route set up in the FMC. For the flight i just did i uploaded 215,000lbs fuel and had a TOGW of 615,000lbs. Still had weight to play with but my FMC showed that with those figures i would arrive at LSGG with at least 19000lbs of fuel. Alt…

Good Morning, I just recently re-installed the MD-11 for FSX with the latest service pack after a few years of not flying and i'm having trouble inputing airports into my fmc. When I enter the format KMIA/KMCO I get the "Not in Database" message. I do have the latest Navdata installed and I also own the 737/777 which work fine; only the MD-11 is having an issue. I tried searching the forums but didn't find much so any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Robert

Hello, I have a smaller problem and can not fix it. Research I have done with no results... When I utilize the load manager and choose the metric conversion to be loaded in the aircraft it does not load in metric! For some reason all my information is still in U.S conversion. How do I go about this problem? Any help would be great.

Hi guys, My MD-11 has some serious problems I cannot manage to resolve. The problems are: * No CO ROUTE is showing on the FMS F-PLAN page, although I entered it correctly. On the CDU however, I can see the route is successfully loaded, can see all the waypoints en total route.. * I cannot enter CI, not allowed * TO/FROM cannot be filled in (if I enter random EDDF/EDDF for example it says NOT IN DATABASE) * SIDS and STARS have vanished. When I look op de flightplan and choose STAR of destination airport there are none. A week ago I purchased this MD11X for something to puzzle over while waiting for the T7 SP-1. It is somewhat of a change from Boeing aircraft. I've pretty well figured out everything except for one area which is still a little fuzzy. I always fly IFR cross country with Radar Contact. I've got the TO, Clb and Enroute procedures down, but after just finishing my third flight, I am still having confusion with the speed settings during the Approach phase. From Cruise ALT, I set my decent to white with the VS. From the last way point to the ILS LOC I switch to white and use HDG to set up the LOC intercept. I normally take over A/T setting of the Air Speed around FL240. …

Hi, I wonder if there is by any chance some kind of unofficial upgrade for the textures, specially for the vc, but maybe also even for the wings or other parts. I really love this aircraft but I just cannot stand to look at the vc textures being so outdated, its almost as if its intended to be flown on the 2d since they look better, but I just think there must be a good upgrade for this somewhere. I found the McPhat ones by the way, but they only worked the outside.

I want to suggest a new paintkit for the MD11, in 4096x4096px, like the NGX and 777 paintkit. Would be great the wonderful MD-11 with update textures.

Hello everyone and have a good day, My MD-11 seems ok so far (not yet tested the flight systems though) but I seem to see a minor yet disturbing issue in some of my liveries like ,American Airlines and Philippine Airlines, Let's take the case of the Philippine for example, in the selection screen, there is this discoloration present in the belly: In some sims and replays i viewed, it shows the original gray. i dont know why mine displays this silver discoloration. any fix for this?

Hi, I downloaded the PMDG MD-11 yesterday and installed on FSX on Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) I5 motherboard, NVIDIA G-Force video card with 2G RAM, 3G CPU, 8G RAM. When I select the MD-11, I get a 2D cockpit view with a beige (blank) instrument panel, black rectangles for FMS, EADI, NAV display, and other panels, no reaction to flap select, or flight control movement. In virtual cockpit mode, I can see all switches, and panels, displays and switches but clicking on them does nothing. Could this be a permission issue or FSUIPC problem since I just installed installed it?
