PMDG MD-11 (Legacy Version)

Hi,I just started flying the MD-11 again, and I remember a few years back - there was a lot of real-world MD-11 routes posted on this forum. I especially enjoyed the short cargo hops in Europe.Anyone got access to such routes?Best regards,Mikkel E.

Good Day I 'v been having Problems with FS2crew and md-11 , It looks to me that the FS2Crew_Start_Center_April_2009_Setup ( witch is the update ) was causing many problems so for the 4th reinstall I did not install it and every thing worked good But I am still getting fsx crashes from time to time when loading FSX + MD-11 the FS2crew does something to the panel file that makes FSX crash ,, I have been reinstalling FS2crew and pmdg md-11 several time to fix the issue I Have an other Question Please It also looks Like when I run TOPcat witch also interferes with the aircraft.cfg do you think this will also makes problems with FS2CREW ?? bec…

Hi guysThe Load Manager of MD-11 don't work. A Fatal Error say "Could not detect a valid PMDG MD-11 Product installation" I've the Combo version and this error appeared after uninstall FSX and only stay with FS9.The FS and MD-11 run correctly, only don't work the Load Manager.Can help me?ThanksEnrique

Hej, i have a strange problem with the 2d Panel, same at Capt. or FO side of the Panel. On Runway there is no Problem in sight, but after rotate and climb the Rain /Snow Animation switch to a Tunnel and is shown only in the middle of the front window. With the Default Aircraft, like the A320, or other Addons there is no similar problem.

Hello All, I am writing in regards to an issue that, so far, havent found in the forums. When moving camera angles to view the outside of the PMDG MD-11 the only part of the plane I see is the cockpit. The rest of the entire plane is missing. Im able to see the shadow of the plane being casted on the ground, but the plane itself is not there. Im currently running Windows 7 and FSX. Also, when using the PMDG 747 I can see the exterior of the plane. Thank you in advance. Carlos E.

Ok i am still new with the MD 11 i just got it last week or so and i am learning , But i am confused about how this autopilot works , so for example i am Flying on line and ATC asks me to descend and start heading 230 for example ,, So I turn the knob to heading 230 and press nav nothing works i pull it out or push in it goes back to where it was , so i decide to disconnect A/P every thing starts flashing and i cant get it to go to the heading that i want , so i press the A/P again and know the Aircraft is back making circles trying to Fallow Flight Plan but not what ATC or me want .. Hi Folks. Can anybody please tell me how to zoom in and out to see view of Track and Waypoints on the EICAS window please? Is there a way to zoom in and out on the Map in both 2D and VC modes? Thanks. John

Hello If I disengage the autopilot it does it partially only. That means that the ailerons can be operated manually but not the vertical level. It seems that it remains in the PROF mode. If APPR/LAND was set before MD-11 follows the correct descent. But there is no way to operate the final manually. Sometimes however the MD-11 follows a wrong descent line (too short or too long) and there is no possibility to intervene. If the flight lasts on hour or 90 minutes only the problem does not occur. I first thought REXessential/overdrive causes the Problem but this is obiviousliy not the case since it is the same the MS weather. Has somebody experienced something simi…

Hi, Well I have got around to getting the MD11 out of the hanger. Been flying the 747v1 and the 737 NGX for the last several years and sort of never got to the MD11.....Starting to get to grips with the tutorial No 1. Main issue to date is setting up the FMC with flight details, specifically, when I come to page 9 of 35 of the tutorial, after selecting EGGL/then SID, I expected to find a selection of SIDS, only to find a blank page with, 'No SIDS" displayed. Now I am very used to the 737 and 747 FMC and find that no problems....The MD11 seems a very different animal. The attached pic shows what I am seeing. I have latest Navigraph FMC data. Any ideas would be welcome…

Real pilots usually disengage autopilot and autothrottle during final, touching down manually. A real authothrottle actually moves the thrustlevers so they are in the right position at that moment, and if the plane was on a stable descent in T/D configuration, it will gracefully continue the appoach until touchdown without much interaction except for the flare-out (crosswinds permitting :-)) But PC throttles are not moved by the ATS, and FSX does not read out whichever position the throttles have when the ATS is turned off. Hence the effective (internal) thrust setting is kind of arbitrary at that moment and usually does not correspond to the mechanical lever position…

i own every pmdg fsx product and i recently aquired the 777 fantastic plane she is now doubt about that, but something always keeps pulling me back to the md11 maybe because its pretty much one of a kind and i would just like to take 2 minutes out of my time to say thank you pmdg for a fantastic product i know it was not one of your greatest sellers we're all aware of that but thanks for taking the risk/plunge into making the fine aircraft.

Hi all, Does anyone have a real world loadsheet for pax MD-11? I really hope to find a real one to see the balancing and trim settings used in a real pax Md-11. Perhaps anyone from KLM here? )) The only one I could find on the net was for SWR111 from JFK to GVA that crashed in September 1998. Hope someone can help! Thanks!

Evening all, Just asking a quick favour please... Recently changed from REX to REX4, which has resulted in the offset (i.e. 2-300 ft off the front right!) taxi and landing lights... Usually I'd sort this out by installing the compatible lights within REX, but I don't have this option any more... So..., I understand that the problem is caused by a modified file: spotlight.bmp. Would anyone be willing to email me with thier version of this file that will work with the '11? Much appreciated! Cheers, Rich

Hi, I have experienced this problem for third time in less than three days in the same route. At first time I had started my night flight from OIIE to UUDD. After 3-4 hours into the flight suddenly some parts of my virtual cabin as well as exterior texture gone missing. At my second and third attempts to fly this route again, my plane exterior texture gone missing several hours into the flight . Also the AI aircrafts had the same problem as you can see in the pictures.

HI. I am running FSX- SP2 (Loaded on the C: drive in its own folder not in program folder.), Windows 7. FUICP. all fully updated on a brand new Alienware/Dell desktop. Loaded the dll. file recomended by PMDG to FSX to stop crahes after 10 hrs etc. PMDG MD 11 crashes or launches witha black screen. All FSX setting are set to default Any ideas? Clean installs have been executed. Registries checked/repaired and mended. I do have an older LCD monitior (1280-1050). Help! Thanks Marc

Hello.I love this plane but i have one issue.I set autobrakes on max,on display is shown "autobrake max" but at landing brakes don't slow me down the don't work and I have to use manual brakes(i don't use any hardware like joystick,yoke pedals etc. and brakes for me is left mouse button)

Was wondering if there is any way of upgrading the lights ( landing lights, nav, strobe etc) to the type seen on the NGX and 777? Would like to see flashing strobes on the ground.

Hi all, All of a sudden I can not trim anymore the horizontal stabilizer above 1.0 degrees. Its stops there. It can go down, but as said, not above 1.0. Any hints? Thanks, Christos

Hello gents, I am trying to find the item SEVERE TURBULENCE AND/OR HEAVY RAIN INGESTION in the PMDG manuals. After this was brought to my attention by a BAV-pilot, I have searched my complete manual set, but I cannot find this memory item anywhere. Has it been omitted for a reason or is it just a matter of versions of the manuals? Cheers,
