PMDG MD-11 (Legacy Version)

I need help . Are there any members , installed FSCaptain to PMDG MD11 and Fs2Crew?I tried many,many, many times without success.During the installation, FsCaptain deleting one portion of Fs2Crew panel. When I reinstalled Fs2Crew, then Fs2creew uninstalling FsCaptain?If you installed, Can you give me an advise how to install FSCaptain to MD11X/F2C.Thanks

In an autoland approach my 11 simply will not bank to center the localizer. It captures both glideslope and localizer beams and tracks the GS just like it should. However the aircraft consistently flies 2 dots right of the localizer. I've fought this damn problem for a year but nothing I have done has solved it. Any ideas?Thanks,Eric

Hi, I've bought the MD-11 for FSX only and I'm having problem with the validation. I've tried to place a ticket in the PMDG ticket page but the sistem doesn´t take it. Gents, a fellow flightsimmer and myself are booked for a session at the Lufthansa Training Center in their MD-11 FMS in the beginning of June. Personally I have 200 hours in the PMDG MD-11X, and I feel reasonably confident in normal operations as an FS online pilot. Following the first 100 hours I got FS2Crew and feel ok with the FS2Crew split syntax between PF/PM. But when I read the original checklists, I feel abit confused about what actually is done by PF/PM and how the flow between them works in practice with two humans. today I decided to make a flight with the MD-11 after a long time of inactivity with it. the flight was LIRF-LIPZ, I fill in the FMC with all the datas, and I select on the MCP the clearence datas of 210kts and 6000ft, NAV and PROF where armed and the speed knob pulled, but the plane rose up till 6060ft and subsequently it descended again to 6000ft, then I selected 30000 on the MCP, after that I got that screen on the FMC. it shows the vertical deviation from the current altitude from the planned one, the planned FL was FL300, and on the FPL I got FL300 for every point of the route even after selecting a STAR and an approach procedure, the altitude shown over LIPZ was 300…

Been away from flight simulation for a couple of years and I have a couple of questions about the MD-11. Since I returned to the hobby, I have gotten back up to speed on the different Boeing aircraft that I have on my simulator. Having a couple of problems with the MD-11. Does the MD-11 auto tune the ILS radio for the final approach? If it does I assume it also sets the correct course heading. My problem with the MD-11 is that I always seem to be behind the curve during my decent. That is I seem always to be a little/lot high and a lot fast on final. For the longest time since I purchased the MD-11, I've always started my flights with the default panel state (engines already running). Finally decided to try my flights using the panel state "before engine start". First I opened the load manager and configured my pax, cargo and fuel. Then I start FS9, load the MD-11 and create my flight plan. When I'm at the gate, I open the top menu to access the PMDG settings and I load the "before engine start" panel state. I complete the first page on the FMC for "INIT". On page 2 for Weight Init, the UFOB is always 169.9 which is not what I had set on the load manager. Isn't it always suppose to show the fuel amount…

Dear Sir Last month I posted a Topic related to mouse freeze on the MD-11 (and only with this add-on), and until now I don´t have any help. I had checked with my friends and I had a few replys to sove this big problem. The SOLUTION IS THIS: The registry of the MD-11 is damaged (I don´t know why) and it causes the mouse fo freeze. So I uninstalled the MD-11 (with the uninstall program) DO NOT MANUALLY DELETE FILES. Then make a clean install of the MD-11, load the cessna default and then the MD-11 ant that´s it it works no more mouse freeze. If this can help anybody I will be happy. Nice flights with thi…

Hi i have about 80 hours of flighexpirience with the MD-11 and it never bothered me before but flying NAT track A today with another MD-11 in front of me i realized that during the long distances between each waypoint my MD-11 flew left of the line on the Nav Display and the online (ivao) traffic flew right on the line. I remember seeing this before (left of line on westbound flights/ right of the line on eastbound) but i thougt it was suposed to be like this. Is there a setting i missed or is it a navigation data problem? sorry for bad english Leeroy

Hi, I've had this happen twice to me already, and it has also happened to a friend of mine. I use ActiveSky 2012, and I am flying through bad weather, usually a thunderstorm, at cruise. I then get a message saying "Ice Detected", so I turn on the anti-ice, and the warning goes out. But then, moments later, I will start to lose altitude, and won't be able to hold speed, even at full power. I'm wondering if the conflict is with ActiveSky. Sorry if this has been solved already, but I want to get to the bottom of it. Thanks, Ryan

Hi am new to this forum it's just a quick question about the yoke in the md11 it move left to right but when I push down or pull up it don't move is this normal???

Suddenly I got this problem on my md-11 screens. Looks like the fonts are not fully stretched trough all the screen. However, this "black straps" on the side only appear when on 2D cockpit. I wouldn't be much concerned if I was mainly VC user, but since I don't have a very good machine to do so, I use 2d more often. I've already sent a ticket to pmdg and they advised me to uninstall and re-install again which I already did but still have the same problem. And yes, I did everything in admin mode and follow all their instructiuons. Did anyone ever had the same issue?

Dear Sir I have the MD-11 for FSX (boxed Version) wich I bought it 2 years ago and I never had any problems with it, until now. I dont´t know why but the mouse freezes during the flight or when the aircraft is landed and I can´t continue with the flight I have to restart the computer. It only happens with the MD-11 I have other aircrafts (the Ifly 737NG) and the mouse is normal. Can you help me please because I love the MD-11. Thank you Carlos

In my opinion the MD11 is still right up there with the NGX and gets used as much if not more than the NGX, however it would be amazing for PMDG to update the textures in the VC etc a bit after the 777 and 747 V2 is out. Do you think this would ever happen and would anyone else like this? Greg

Hi All, To give you some background I'm running FSX SP2, PMDG MD-11 (Latest), Active Sky 2012 (Latest) and FSUIPC (Registered). I'm at my wits end with the PMDG MD-11 at cruise. For example I'm flying to OMSJ at the moment from HECA. I have winds 235/85 constant (no changes) and my general direction is 125 degree magnetic.. The MD-11 is constantly zig-zagging left and right of course. Even when it finally comes back and looks like it will stay on track with off-set for the wind, it will suddenly bank 20 degree right and then become far right of course. Hi, I just bought PMDGs MD11 & B747 from Aerosoft's sale. They only had boxed format, so that's what I got. I already had experience of installing the NGX boxed. My computer did not recognise the disc, but I managed to work around that problem by copying the content to an external hard drive through another computer and then installing the NGX on this computer using only the data. When I got the MD11 & B747, I tried to install them, and same problem. Neither of the discs was recognized by my computer. I tried the same workaround. This time no good, since both required the original disc to be inserted while installing. I contacted Aerosoft's support about …

Why can't I merely install an addon that works perfectly without any issues... I purchased the MD-11, installed it, all was fine. It asked me to install those additional programs that are essential for the addon to work properly, I approved and the installation was complete. Then I fired up the sim and approved when it asked me whether it should load those .gau files (maybe even .dll files, I don't remember). I was wondering how I could change the speed brake sound of the MD-11 with the 737NGX one. I own the 737NGX and I have fallen in love with the sound of the speed brake extending on touchdown in the NGX. I would like the know how I could copy the 737NGX speed brake sound and replace the MD-11X speed brake sound file with the 737NGX one. How could I do this? I am fairly comfortable with basic editing of .cfg files if I need to. What folders would I look in and what specific files would need editing? Jeremy Ross Collins
