The last 5 or 6 flights when I bring up the Load Manager it just hangs and won't let me enter fuel or passenger load. If I click on 2/3 passengers it won't do anything, but if I then move the window it accepts the entry. Everything else on my system and with the MD-11 seems to working fine just this issue.

Hi all, I have the MD-11 ready for install. I have already the NGX working fine and I need some advice before I start: 1. Saitek Pro Yoke. I will do the same as I have done with the NGX, namely map all functions through FSUIPC. Does anyone have a successful mappingguide for the MD-11 with the Saitek Pro Yoke, throttle and Pedals? How do I get control over the third engine? Just map it together with #2 was my initial thought. 2. EZdok camera. I have bought the AoA training so I have the camerafiles made by them. As I have only used the EZ with one aircraft until now, the NGX, I wonder how EZ separates between different aircraft? Thanks in advance for a…

Hi Guys, After a re-install, for some reason the MD-11 is the only airliner I have that doesn't pause at TOD when it is turned on in the settings. Has anyone else had their MD-11 miss the TOD and fly through it if you're AFK for a bit? I definitely have the setting enabled... two flights now and it has passed through TOD.

I know this one is me but still stumped even after reading manual a couple of times. Due to the fmc not reading a .pln plan I tried entering the plan manually using the b747 fmc and saving the plan as a rte file, Success :lol: but for some reason on the md 11 fmc it does'nt add my departure airport it starts with my first waypoint and I can't find out how to go backwards in the flight plan. So I thought I would just enter the whole plan again using the md11 fmc and have run into another problem as I want to add a lat/lon way point after a vor point ETIKI I want to then go to N45W015 and according to the manual I click on the lsk next to ETIKI and it should insert that …

Dear all, I have a question regarding the vertical logic of the PROF descent. I was flying a fully automated descent from FL370 to ILS14 of LSZH via BLM2G STAR and GIPOL Transition. The STAR requires the following descent: BLM at or below FL200, ZH677 at or above FL120, GIPOL at or above 7000 and then to the IAF of RW14 at 4000. When starting the descent, PROF logic put a HOLD 20000 constraint in order to honour BLM. The 20000 was reached well ahead of BLM. After Passing BLM at 20000, the descent continued to 12000, however, due to the PROF 20000 constraint at BLM, the 12000 at ZH677 could not be reached as well as the altitudes of the following waypoints, ending …

This event seems to occur routinely while flying the MD-11. I can fly for hours in the NGX without issue, but have always had a problem with the MD. Below is the event viewer readout for the event. I don't it can really tell us much about what happened, but maybe point towards a solution. When this happens, FSX simply stops responding. No movement, no looking around/viewchanges. No sound. Sometimes it comes back after a few minutes. OTher times, it can go on for hours. I've tried every help hint I could find on here and applied them all. It helped to a point. Dear Reader I read some posts about the problem of Windows 7 64 bit and FSX. 2 years ago I bought MD-11X Version 1.20 and installed it (to the folder X86). FSX crashed as I choose the MD-11 in the menu. Now I deinstalled it and reinstalled it to "C:\FSX\Microsoft Flight Simulator X". FSX worked, so I tried to install the MD-11: The setup does not have any idea where FSX is located in my PC. Has anyone an idea how to solve the problem? The other day (during a particularly uneventful flight) I was looking at the flight plan and in particular the TC and TD entries. It made me wonder what rates of climb and rates of descent the FMC uses to calculate such flight plan entries. Does anyone know? I had a quick skim through the manual but did not spot anything referencing this, or did I miss it? A quick calculation for the step climb changes yielded a rate of climb of 700 but not sure how accurate this is. Regards Stuart

Hello dear Reader I was not far away to fly the MD-11. I installed FSX and MD-11 once again and now it runs, but only problemless on the administrator account. On my personal account I receive the following message after clicking on fsx: "Couldn't load language resource dll.." Any idea about what the problem is now? I checked that FSX can be found under "games", but on the administrator account it is placed on "Spiele" which is the german word. I think that it has something to do with my current problem. Hi all, Although I'm a seasoned MD-11x pilot, I've never used a flex temp to de-rate my takeoffs. I understand that you would input a higher temperature to "trick" the engines into not running at say 103% N1. Could anyone provide me a description of what temperature entered equals what N1? It is nice to power down the runway at max, and have a ridiculous climb rate, but its not necessarily the most realistic procedure.

I currently have the following programs that would like to add their own panels to the planes config: VoxATC (2 panels) FS2Crew (2 panels) FS FlightKeeper (1 panel) AS2012 (1 panel) On PMDG's site, there is a post that specifies that only 2 panels can be added without adverse effects. I just thought this,and i want know how is it for your situation. I read FMC manunal from PMDG and some real airline,and notice i just used VERY less FMC function in my past experience(situation). Like RTA,i try to choose specific time to arrival that waypoint,but always get Error...,i still don't know why,i guess FSX need more good weather software to avoid some strange wind change.. Also i found MD-11 have many capability,for example, i just flight from LFPG to EDDM few days ago, have one simmer was front of me during landing(I'am number two) ,so choose Go around to avoid crash. I am thinking of buying the MD11 for FSX however my FSX installation is not completely reliable and will crash occasionally. I have taken the habit of saving my flights every so often so that is not a major problem provided that, upon reloading, the flight resumes correctly. So my question is: with all the complexities of the MD11 simulation, does the flight reload properly so as to allow normal resumption? With my thanks in advance. AuPif.

Hi all, I did (well, tried to) my first flight in the MD11(X). Starting C/D, I did everything following the tutorial. I made a mistake and assigned FL360 initial. I couldn't even climb that high, and wanted to keep FL340. But the A/P never switched to CRZ, so I was trying to modify the Cruise altitude to FL340, but I couldn't find out how. I activated the sec FPL and FS crashed :( I'm sure there's a workaround. How can I change the FL in the FMS? This should work also for cruise climb, unless there's another way I haven't found out yet. Thanks Fede

Can anybody breakdown the parameters required for a successful pushback using the FMS function in the excellent MD11? I have tried it a few times but can't ever get it quite right. Where you select 'straight distance' is that measured from the nose wheel, the main gear, or somewhere else? The angles don't seem to work properly, is there a trick to making those accurate? I have a weird problem with my PMDG MD-11 which I have owned since it came out in 2008, bought from PMDG not F1. I have recently done a clean install of Windows 7 64bit this partition is dedicated to FSX. I’ve had the MD11 installed and running perfectly for a few weeks now. Yesterday I wanted to demonstrate something to a friend when I noticed after selecting the 11, that it did not initialize as it usually does, with the green stripe and countdown. Hi, I recently got the md11 and I think I'm not getting the best 2d display graphics as I have seen both on videos and on the PMDG site pictures. They look somewhat blocky and really not up to the PMDG standard that I know they actually have but for some reason I'm not getting them. Every other PMDG aircraft that I have has excelent 2d display graphics, and I'm referring specifically to the digital instruments. For example, when I click anyone of the display sceens to zoom in they look deformed and some of the data cannot be read. I'm using a 32 bit computer. Robert Aitchison ROB13 Returned to my PMDG MD 11 after 3 years. I attempted to clear my problem of the Panel Gauges being Black ; But when Clicking on the W Key All 5 gauges appear for perfect viewing. Hi folks! A couple months ago there was a huge military exercise at Banak (ENNA) in Norway, and one of the local newspapers got a picture of an md-11 on ground that was either a troop transport or just plain cargo (impossible to determine with my limited knowledge on what USAF is using today). But it was definitely US Air Force, it had a grey paint scheme with USAF decals on it). The reporter wrongly called it an A320 (I don't blame him: Big plane? must be an airbus then!
