PMDG MD-11 (Legacy Version)

Trying to install this MD-11. On the Product Validation screen, it ask me to fill in 3 boxes: Your email address Your order ID Your Password My email I obviously understand. My order ID is in the 2nd of two confirmation emails I received, but I can find no 'password' numbers. Where do I find my password? Very frustrated. Thanks, Chris Strobel

In the docs for NGX I find a recommended setting for realism in FSX, I have studied the MD-11 docs and can not find anything about this? Anyone has advice? Thanks, Morten Steen

Hey folks, having done a little googling i have not come up with nothing recent, - i di have the latest version of the dll file. I was established on the ils at LGTS from EGKK at around 500ft Also on a side note - i have airac 1210, and i cant believe lpfo (FARO, portual) isn't there, can anyone confirm this? there was another popular european a/p missing but i cant remember which one. A nice saturday afternoon to everyone ;-) At the moment I'm enroute on my MD-11 from EDDM to KJFK. Flying now anywhere over the North Atlantic I asked myself what are the three speeds showing on the PFD and the ND (see picture). Its just a guess from myself, never tried to find out what they really are until now ;-). So: On the ND the GS stands for Groundspeed? So the speed over Ground is 456 knots? The TAS stands for True Airspeed? 478 knots, in this case higher because I have a Headwind? Correct so far? But what then is the speed shown on the PFD, the 275 knots. Always thought that is the airspeed? Why its around 200 knots lower than the TAS shown i…

Sirs OS is Win7 64 bit Ultimate I reinstalled Win7 and FSX on a new drive. I have installed the PMDG 737NG series and they all work fine. Other aircraft that I have installed work fine. I installed the MD11 and when I try to boot up the MD11 I get a "fatal error". I click ok on the window that comes up and FSX reboots. I installed the MD11 with administrative rights. Help please Tom

but having to go into the menu and unchecking pause on TOD and the rechecking it again is so Captain Sim ish. The one niggly thing in an otherwise perfect sim. Wow, now that I've had my rant it's time to fly!!! Later...

Hi, Just looking for some quick pointers on how to manage a desent in a stacked hold for the MD-11. I have figured out how to enter the hold and exit using the FMC . Is the altitude controlled manually via the MCP or is there a way to manage this via the FMC? thx Mark

Yes, for real. Documentation section of the PMDG site.Markus is going to make a second advanced tutorial covering long haul/oceanic stuff. I am not even going to begin to speculate as to when this will be available. Do not ask please. Markus does these tutorials in his free time and he is not a member of the PMDG Dev team, so please don't treat this as some kind of promised product from us, it isn't. Hello Everybody, here is the issue i have been having with PMDG MD-11. When i download the plane, it downloads fine. i can run FSX and select it and everything. However if i download a livery from the PMDG website, it deletes the main FSX texture folder, and i also don't see PMDG MD-11 in the FSX/Simobject directory. I had to uninstall PMDG MD-11 and repair FSX to at least get it back to working. I tried installing it again and gave me the same issue. not sure whats going on. if someone can help me with this issue, i will really appreciate it. thanks

Im sorry if this have been anwser in these forum, but Im in need of some help I have the saitek x65f controls, It works really good with the 737 and any dual engine aircraft but went it comes to flight the md11 only two of the throttles move I will like to know if any one here have these controls and be so kind to tell me the way to set these throttles to work with 3 and 4 engine aircraft. I will like to be able to used the throttles. and no the keyboard. thanks for the help.

I've done a couple of flights lately where I've finished with an ILS approach. Strangely, the aircraft tracks a constant distance to the left of the LOC. It seems locked on the signal ok, and the GS is dead centre, but it's always left of the courseline. This is also true of tracking the course enroute. The longer the leg, the further off track it gets, but it always gets to where it should be eventually (except perhaps on the LOC course - I've always disengaged the A/P and hand flown the LOC once it was obvious it wasn't going to intercept it). Any ideas what might be happening here? The NGX is fine, as are my other aircraft so I have a feeling it's something I'm missing…

So Just Bought the MD 11 and i am happy with it although it is not like the NGX I will make this short as much as i can First question any tips or tricks that will help me with this Bird ?? i will be flying online Second i have been looking at a few MD 11 YouTube tutorials and i cant figure it out how these guys flip through the panel view so fast like they do ?? i am still using the basic FSX ( A ) and the ( S ) and the F9 key ,, witch short cut keys do you guys use when in VC or 2D panel ??? Okay, so I bought the MD11 yesterday since there was this "secret" sale. Now, I started the tutorial and I've set everything correctly but there is a problem: The manual says: "You now find yourself on the flight deck, the time of day being early morning. Loaded is a panel state representing the condition the pilots would normally find the aircraft in when boarding on a transit stop." However, my MD11 has the engines on and everything doesn't seem to be like the manual says (engines off, IRS not aligned, etc.) How can I change my panel state to always start "short"? I know how to do it on the NGX but I'm completely 100% new to this addon, and I have no idea h…

Hi Everyone, I'm still tweaking my new build but running 3 screens in VC. I received great support from PMDG and received updated panel.cfg's to help with FPS and the mouse flickering issue, while running 3 monitors. All "House PMDG" liveries run great. I wanted to try the forums first before bugging PMDG tech support about my issue. This is for FSX I downloaded an add on livery from the PMDG website (FedEx new colors) and it loaded up just fine. But, when I go into the VC I have the same original problem: mouse flickering, no 2d panel, and low frame rates. Any ideas? Thanks! Chris K.

hi, i have a question regarding RW ops. on the A320 you land with autothrottle even when flying a manual approach. so basically the throttle is not touched from after take off when throttle is set to CLB detent until the aircraft is back on the ground after landing. how is it done on the 11? i flew her today (first time after a long while) and i landed her flying the approach by hand with the autothrottle engaged until on the ground and it worked beautifully. almost felt like flying an airbus if it wasn't for that yoke LOL. is that how it's usually done in the real world or is it all manual in such case?

I head that Md-11 was plagued with horizontal stab, problems, because it was short and positioned too up. That's why there have been accidents. I am wondering why else MD 11 could bounce on landing and why is it generally considered a really hard airplane to land apart that it has above normal high approach speeds. Thanks

Hi, I am using the PMDG MD-11 in FSX Deluxe SP1 w/ Win. 7, and it is a fantastic aircraft! It works normally (most of the time). But there are two problems.....1. Engine won't always startIf i pull the starter plug, the light will come on and on the EICAS you will get an N2 reading and you will hear the starter engage, but the N2 reading will stay at 0, and will not move. Now this only happens ocassionally, mostly when i start from a cold and dark setup. However, this even happens when i use other panel states such as 'long turn'. What is wrong? Hey everyone, I have re-installed my PMDG MD-11X and noticed...Spoilers do not deploy (even though everything is setup correctly) and WingFlex/WingAnimation ist not working. The only thing that works is the flaps animation. I cannot see the wingflex in the 737NGX aswell. Any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance.

I am having problems using the autothrottles with SID that require you to stay below certain altitudes. For example the OSHNN4 out of LAX. When I fly the approach manually but with autothrottles engaged, I initially pitch to maintain speed as the FMC shows and followed the flight director. The first time I blew threw the altitudes. The second time I lowered the pitch to slow my ascent but I end up accelerating way past 250 kts while the autothrottles stay at climb power. As of now the only way to fix this is to disengage the autothrottles. I was wondering if there is anyway to fix this so that the autothrottles will reduce trust to keep the speed under 250kts and keepin…

Hello, I seem to have come across something rather odd... So today I installed the PMDG MD-11 for FSX without any problems and the select airlines that I wanted too. They took a while but no problems... I use a non-administrator account, but I used the administrator account to install the game onto the entire desktop. After going back to my account to play it, it crashed. A fatal error has occurred it said. I tried lots and lots more times after FSX restarted itself, but it continuously crashed when I selected the MD-11 and I clicked OK down at the bottom.
