PMDG MD-11 (Legacy Version)

It has been awhile since I last had a problem and now it seems I have a new one. The gauges for my MD11's are not showing when I start up FSX and go to use the MD11. Thank you in advance for any and all answers.

Every now and then I take a flight in the MD-11, one of my favourite PMDG aircrafts with, arguably, one of the best definition fuselages and liveries. There is, however, one call out which has always puzzled me because I can't quite make out what the female voice is saying. It occurs after landing, I think, when I have forgotten to disconnect the auto throttle. When I'm trying to exit the runway the voice call out says 'Full lap, lap' and keeps on repeating it. Is this what she is saying and, if so, what does it mean? I've tried looking in the manual but can't locate where it might be explained. Anyone know?

The last time I used the MD11 was several months ago and everything worked fine then. Tried to use it today and can get none of the internal panel sounds to play. I checked the intro manual and it mentions a PMDG SOUND entry in the FSX add-on menu but none is present when I load up the plane. Tried several different models but still no PMDG SOUND menu option. I assume that this is related to my issue. I have checked and those sound files are present in the SOUND/PMDG menu within FSX and they all play correctly and the DLL's are present within my CFG file. Just to be sure, however, I deleted my CFG file and had it recreate but still no joy. I am tempted to reinstall…

Hello AVSIM, I've always been a fan of the McDonnell Douglas MD-11, but could never afford a PC that could run it. As I now own a better PC, I decided to try and buy the PMDG MD-11, only to find out that it's not being sold anymore. Could anyone help me find a copy? All websites I've checked show it as "temporarily unavailable" (AKA gone forever), but maybe some obscure website I don't know about still has a copy or two. I start FSX, I choose my MD-11 and FSX crashes to the desktop. No error message, no nothing. This is the first time I have ever had this happen. What could be causing this? Thanks

Hey guys, I was looking to do a simple repaint for the MD-11. I know PMDG doesn't support it anymore, but is still possible to get the paint kit from somewhere? Thanks TJ

PMDG should consider remaking the MD-11 latest version like it made latest versions of 737 NGX and 777 and the 747 queen of the sky's 2 and make more projects like 717 and 757 -200/300 and 767-300/400 also the 787-800/900 also the Airbus projects from A320 A330 A340 A350 A380

Hello, As I am about to make a departure with the MD-11, i want to know what button does move stabilizer trim, so I can get it to green and set the correct trim? And I mean almost everywhere (PMDG forum general flightsimmers forums, U name it.) The question is this. I fly on a regular bases the Fs2004 PMDG MD 11 and often with Fspassengers. I never flown the MD-11, so i'm trying it out. Does the ILS frequency automatically tune in the FMC's NAV/RAD just like the PMDG 747/777?

Hi, i have an issue with my MD-11, i just noticed that on route, NAV engaged, when approaching each waypoint the plane just starts to turn left, and than, when the waypoint is passed, he return back on route... it turn a few of degrees (10/15°), but this thing really annoy me... i'm writing you here to see if anyone had this problem yet and solved it, but i think i'll go write to PMDG support also... it's really, really annoying. I'm putting this out to see if anyone else is experiencing the same problems. I have FSDT KMEM scenery for installed in FSXSE. This scenery simulates an older surface for it's taxiways and runways with a noticeable bump at each expansion joint. As I was heading for the runway I had an error (ZFWCG and TOCG out of range) and (some fields in the weight init page were not updated) appear at the top of the sim screen. I stopped and double checked all the numbers and everything was fine. As soon as I continued to taxi the errors popped up again. I will also be posting this on the FSDT forum as well . Diehl

Hello, Please I need your help: Since some days the radios vhf1 and vhf2 of my loved MD-11 don´t work correctly. I cannot enter the frequency using the inner knob. It shows f.expl. 123,000 but I cannot enter 123,125 or 123,500. Strangeley wise vhf 3 works well. I tried already a new instalation - but no success. Thank´s for your help Peter

Hi I fly under Prepar3D v4, but I've installed my beloved FS9 on other computer. The problem is that when I try to reinstall my purchased MD11, years ago, ask me for fs9.1 update, which is correctely installed. Also I have not any such "fs9 no CD" I don't know how can I reinstall Tks for any help

Tried to reinstall the MD11 for FSX on my Windows7 OS, but after entering my email address at purchase, my order number (ID), and password I am told that my licence is not recognised.......Whose moved the goalposts? Michael King

We were trying to install the PMDG MD-11 on another computer and when the password is put in, a message says to contact support. That should not be required! Now why do we need to contact support when the correct password is used? Ken.

I am running windows 7 pro 64 bit and when trying to install the MD11 into FS9 get the error message ' FS9 Version 9.1.0.40901 (FS9.1 at least) required. You only have FS9 Version 9.0.0.30612 installed. Please install FS9.1 or later to use this product. I have confirmed that I do have FS9.1 installed. Just love flying this aircraft, in FSX, however, I continually get into trouble trying to nail the landing speed, whether landing manually with a/p disengaged, or , on an ILS approach, even with full flaps and 100% spoilers, idle throttle, I invariably end up running out of runway, . Am I missing something? Mike King
