Hi Robert and friendsI am slowly but surely learning my way around the MD-11. Each time you guys release a product, you seem to take things up a notch. Well done.Having said that, I am miffed by one aspect of the MD-11. Why have you set it up to load each time with zero fuel in the tanks? Can you please help us change this so that we won't run out of fuel and have the engines die before we can load fuel manually in the PMDG Options Menu?

Hi all,I still have FS9 but will in the future transfer to FSX.If i buy the combo version right now, witch contains for the moment only the FSX-version, will i be able to view the tutorial that comes with it, in other words do i have to install the FSX-version (witch i don't can) to access the tutorial or is the tutorial delivered as a separate file in the download ?Hope i explain myself clear ?

PMDG,congrats on getting this plane in a so near perfect level for thouasands of different computer setups. It is just astonishing.I wanted to mention 2 things. One may be a small cosmetic bug and the other a question.1. When switching between the dim and bright annunciator light modes, the gear warning lights appear in front of the gear handle and stay there. It corrects itself if the panel is reloaded (e.g. when switching to spot and back)2. In the FMS pdf on page 20.3 it mentions the ability to modify the EDIT field by selecting a speed on the SPD/MACh window and pressing FMS SPD within 10 seconds. First question. When I change my settings in the performance tuner, I press ok to confirm my settings but they don't actually take effect, when I return to the performance tuner the settings are still default. Anyone know why?Second issue. When I am in the 2D cockpit the autopilot flickers. I am using vista 32 and FSX acceleration. Thanks Callum Green

Hello All,I got a small problem with the checkout for the MD11 combo, I put in all the details etc then pressed checkout and got an error page saying "An error has occured in this store. We apologize for the inconvenience."Can someone advise whether I should put the order through again or not? Hi guys,As I can't get to play with the new MD-11 'till the end of the week because of a business trip, I'm curious to know if anyone is succefully exporting FP's from FSBuild2 to the new bird? Just wondered, what are typical routes for the MD-11? I know KLM uses one on their Schiphol - Dutch Antilles route (don't even know exactly which of the islands actually - could be Aruba or Curacao :shame: ). Hi GuysI was just wondering if it is possible to get the Load Manager to talk to FS over the network using SimConnect, and if so, how?The reason i ask, is that i run VC on monitor 1, Overhead, FMC and Radio stack on monitor 2.Jumping in and out of full screen is a real pain in the butt in this situation, so if the LM can run on the laptop with Squawkbox, ASX etc, that would be quite handy....CheersPaul

There's no doubt congratulations are in order for the development of a superb product, but is anybody else having trouble using the MD-11 in conjunction with numerous GoFlight products?So far the only GoFlight product I've found works with the MD-11 are the throttles....no spoilers or flaps.The flaps and spoilers might be utilising FSUIPC, but I can't see it solving the other problems with radios, etc.Graham McAllister

I spent a lot of time flying the fabulous PMDG 747. In fact, I spent so much time with the Queen that my wife was wondering who I liked more, her or this 'game' (don't you hate it when they say that?). While I must admit i hesitated a bit before I told her that ofcourse I loved her more, I think I was thruthful in my answer. However, since I'm the proud owner of a brandnew MD11, all I can do is pray she won't pop up the same question, because I'm pretty sure she won't like my answer then! Navigate to aircraft.cfg and go to [views]eyepoint=-7.20,-1.720,4.200Change the last value (vertical) to 4.300 and the view should improve, otherwise I felt I was sitting too low.

Hi,it is not clear to me if the tutorial for the new bird comes out seperately and before the release . . .After a short glance at the 1526 pages of the manual it will be hard work for a "normal flight simmer" to get the MD11 ready to go!Therefore I will make my decision to buy or not to buy after I read the tutorial ( preferabbly for DUMMIES . . . similar to the excellent 747 tutorial ) - a RW world pilot attended 6 weeks ground course at LGB, thereafter 8 times 4 hours simulator training and lots of line training to get the necessary qualification for this special bird, which was different in all respects to other airplanes he flew before!Karl-Heinz - EDDI/THF " Tempelh…
