HiWatching that vid at 1:27:44, when the captain sets the parking brake, he also pushes a small yellow button on the pedestal.Anyone knows what is that?Regards

Robert said that we would get some feed back from the testers over the next few days, and I would like to think that by now you all would be able to share with us your initial thoughts and comments on the product. Could you tell us what kind of frame rates you are getting compared to other add-ons? Robert mentioned a few items left to develop.... Could you comment on the items still left to develop?How are the sounds? This is something we have not "heard" about. Robert also commented that this product is further along than any other BETA product.But not being beta testers, that means very little to me. Could you comment on further on this? Perhaps others readers will…

Great news!Releasing the manuals ahead is nice idea. Lets hope for a smooth BETA.

When the time comes, hopefully soon, how about a "pre-release" period of 48 hours whereby folks who already own another PMDG product can d/l it exclusively, say through an email notice?

Hi,I read that the MD-11 is going to need a bit of re-engineering work to get it to fly in FS9, but I was wondering: when all is done, will the FS9 version have the same features of the FSX version, or might it lack a few things due to limitations?As much as I moan FSX doesn't run well (enough) on my rig, if the MD-11 will be better (from the perspective of flying) for running under FSX, I'll seriously consider it.Best regards,Robin.

hi,i just noticed that on the product pages you stated different system requirements for the B747Fsx and Md11Fsx. For the queen you wrote a minimum of 3.0ghz, for the md11 only2.0ghz. does that mean the md11 has a better performance in fsx than the queen?i have still only my laptop (1.86ghz, 2gb ram) which can handle fsx with asx, rc4.3, lds767, DA fokker and the maddog2006 ok. i don't use the queen because somebody told me that it takes much more frames than the lds767. it would be really a dream to fly the md11!otherwise i just have to wait until i finally can upgrade my pc.thanx, chrjsps: is there a chance to try the product and give it back if it doesn't work?

I have a question regarding your MD11 which seems to be in the final stages of devolopment.The MD11 had it,s handling problems in the approach phase of flight.I think it was due to the combination of a trim tank and small tailplane which maked it unstable in the pitch axis.The aircraft was also unforgiving in x wind situation.MD did some software modifications which made it better regarding the stability in pitch.Does PMDG simulate the new or the old versions of the plane before the modification?Personally I hope for the old version because what we need in the FS community is a very difficult to handle beast which realy can test your handling skills.Ola NielsenNorway

I saw a post earlier that PMDG was looking for faces to put on the MD-11.I was thinking that since you went with the Enterprise crew with the 737 ( which I thought was funny ) that you should do the same with the MD-11. Kirk as the captain and maybe Sulu as the FO.Just a thought.

Hi guys,Last night I watched the ITVV Martinair Boeing MD11 video last night and I have to say I am very impressed with the Aircraft, the philosophy behind the instrumentation reminds me a lot of airbus. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get familiar with the aircraft before we get our hands on it.Going to have to get used to all the new terminology and the 'Lady' in the background talking to me. So all in all I am now looking forward to the learning curve and hopefully the years of flying the queen will help with the transistion :)Rob

Well sir,you really made my day by making this anouncement!I've been looking forward to the MD11 since the day it was released and by reading your post,i feel the end is comming closer to the waiting.I'm definatly looking forward to seeing those preview videos and screenshots,kinda curious as to how you're going to spoil us...again :).I think it is a great descision to release the manual before product release(now i have something to read during my flight to the McDonnell Douglas factory to take my delivery ;) ).Thank you very much for this info and keep up the good work!You allready have one happy customer!:)Regards,Steven
