PMDG MD-11 (Legacy Version)

Just love the MD11 but have one thing I can't get sorted out. The parking brake just keeps disengaging after I set it. Don't know what is causing this.Martin Maaskant

I'm probably "loco" this morning(as we say in Spain)but I cannot locate Flight Plans for the MD-11. If they are indeed included where are they to be found?Cliff

Seem to have a prob here. I can't load a saved panel because there are none shown in the load box. Also I cannot save a panel state myself - I get a box which says 'Cannot Create' when I try.I know I have the saved panel files, having found them in Docs & Settings/Desktop, but they do not appear when I use the menu item - Load Panel State - it's blank.Any ideas.Bud

Hello,I don't know if someone experienced the same strange behaviour as me. Everytime I did a flight with the MD-11 and ended it over the menu to go back to the FSX menu, the window with the plane in the freeflight menu in FS is completely black. During flight I had no errors. The planes are not showing anymore. When I try to restart the flight with the Fly now button brings me back to sim but with graphic errors. So I have to restart FSX and all is well again. This happens only with the MD-11. Has someone the same issues?I use Vista 64 with Nvidia 8800gt and latest drivers.thanksKai

Sorry if these are staring me in the face in the manuals...I'm still working through it all! :)Two question:1. If I'm cleaning up a flight plan and need to delete multiple waypoints between two points, in a boeing I would just lineselect the end waypoint into the scratchpad and move it up the list. That doesn't seem to work here...any guidance? (note: this is not a Direct-To question)2. My autopilot keeps disconnecting. Nothing is mapped to the disco key and my controls all have sufficient null zones. Additionally, the aircraft doesn't deviate from flightpath at all...it just discos and gives an aural alert. Lack of an Internet connection at home currently prevents me from activating any products online. Is there a way for me to purchase the MD11 and be able to activate offline? (I am currently writing this from my PC at work.) I am suffering from MD11 withdrawal symptoms!Thanks.Greg

G'day, I have been awaiting the MD 11 from PMDG for a couple of years and the timing of its release is perfect. I finished my university exams today and now have until March to learn to fly this bird. I am looking at buying the FS9/FSX combo, as I still use fs9 predominantly, but FSX is the future. My question is how will it run on my system? I have a Q6600 Quad core 2.40 GHz with 2GB of RAM and a 8800 GT graphics card all running XP Pro 32 Bit. I can run the Level D 767 pretty well ,15-20 FPS at airports and 40+ in the air ,although it slows down at airports like JFK, with traffic.Since the FS9 version is some way off, I'd like to run the FSX version until then, but with…

Hi, Got a problem, FSX freezes when I try to add the dep/dest in the FMS, Have no idea why. I am using the tutorial with this and i am not using the 3GB patch and setup from the intro panel, since it causes my sim to display graphics wrong, and by wrong I mean spiky looking planes. I ran threw the fact page didn't find anything unless I am blind. I can enter the coroute just fine but even with that the alt airport wont enter it freezes up. Hi,The FMS has a problem computing EHAM/EHAM, ILS RW06 APP, no STAR or other waypoints.For some reason, it appears to want to fly in a loop about 100 times, then fly to the waypoint. Further, it can't decide where to place the computed waypoints (T/C) and (T/D).Can anyone else re-create this? I believe I saw a texture for VC Glass Reflections but none seem to show up in the VC. Is there a way to enable these or is this a bug?Btw, really nice work on the aircraft. Great sounds! Well PMDG... you've never failed to impress me. The 737NG, 747-400 and now the MD-11. Your making your FS9 customers jealous and feeling left out :( LOL Anyways, I've noticed some impressive wingviews with the FSX model. Thanks PMDG for yet another fine product. Worth every penny in gold imho. Great Systems, great graphics and great sound!Now i only got used to windshield reflections in the VC and i'm missing these in the MD11. It's like if there are no windshields at all. I tried to adjust different VC bmp's but with no luck. Any suggestions?Regards, Gerrit

Hi all, after my first longhaul with this excellent bird I came to the question where to setup the enroute wind prediction for a propper fuel re-calculation. Is the entriy on the INIT page the only one for the hole way for 11 up to 14 hours flights ? Is this in the real airplane the same ?Remember dear PMDG-Guys, the FMC of 747-00 made by you has a last minute wind page, made by you after a special request as far as I remember... :-)Thanks for any info...Steffen

Hi,I've got the AP figured out I think, and can now get the aircraft doing what ever I want without hassle.One thing I noticed with it however is that once it reaches an altitude as set in the FCP, it enters HOLD mode.This is fine, but it appears you need to intervene to get it to return to PROF mode for say, a step climb. Is there a way to arm PROF mode, with a higher altitude in the FCP ALT window, so at the appropriate time, it climbs on its own?If it is a manual process, that is fine, but I'm just curious. I don't seem able to set a maximum FL in the FCP (e.g. FL410), and for it to level off before then and use the FMS altitude constraint.Best regards,Robin.

Hi, when you look at this recently posted MD-10 Video, the Stab Motion Warning sounds twice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0EQ9-m-nuPIAt the PMDG it sounds only when you stay on the trim knobs for a long time, shouldn it sound more often? Everything is said in the title. No problem at all with DX9.Apart from that, a fantastic aircraft of course :--)
