Hi,I just puchased FS9 and the 737-600/700 (on CD). I have reason to believe that I will need to download the upgrade for the 737. I just tried to get it on the website, and it doesn't seem to be there.I'm currently lining up ALL my software for install and the only addon aircraft installed will be the 737 and my Piper Meridian. Additionally, I will be installing the FS9 upgrade since I'm starting fresh and new. Looking forward to your reply on the 737 upgrade file and thanks in advance,Lawrie

Here is a good source to see what to expect for high altitude winds.http://squall.sfsu.edu/crws/jetstream.htmlThe real world weather for FS9 corresponds with this quite well. I had a ground speed over 600knots at mach .80 going from KORD to KJFK yesterday. Expect a long flight when traveling westbound over the eastern US today.Bob

Today I was desc in VNAV PATH below 10,000' with a commanded SPD of 240 and the speed then bled off slowly to IAS 230 by about 9000'; it then slowly adjusted to 240 by about 7500'. If the speed bleeds off like this, can VNAV disconnect? How big a margin is there under 10,000'?Jonathan

Hi all, I'm thinking of buying 737NG 800/900. It looks great but was wondering how it will work on my system. Should there be any problems? What could I expect as to performance? Will it be slow, ie frame rates? Thanks.Pentium 4 1.71 gig RamGeForce 4Ti4600

Hello folks,I was wondering if anyone has the following "problem" with the panel light switch.Every time I switch to VC view (which is fairly often) and back to the main 2D panel, on checking the overhead I have noticed that the panel light switch is turned on. Turning the switch off and repeating the VC-to-2D panel procedure turns the darn thing on again.Time of day makes no difference.Cheers,Tony

Captains-just wanted to update you on a bit of info:It seems that I've picked the shortest toothpick in the PMDG draw (:-)), so I am going to be giving a presentation of the 747-400 (a mid-stage alpha version of the product) at the FS Show in Birmingham, this Saturday, 27 NOV 04.If you feel like enjoying the sunny, warm and nice weather of the beautiful industrial city of Birmingham this weekend, come and check it out.(Reply to this so we get to know each other ;-)).

In the manual it gives fuel burn in lbs per hour. Are those values for both engines combined? Does a burn of 430lbs/hr in manual and the 430lbs/hr on the instruments the same, or should I double the actual burn rate since there are two engines...thus run each engine at 215lbs/hr?Does the mixture knobs affect fuel flow or are they just basically fuel on/fuel off? It seems leaning the mixture levers has no visible affect on fuel burn per hour, nor am I noticing a change in temp on the EGT dials(those are the top two right?).Help me please!Charles Wilson

Just curious, despite being pretty sure this is a longshot at best, or at least very very forward looking. Is there any chance that PMDG would (gasp!) do an all-new all-insanely-cool Airbus A320 (Mebbe with sister-ships 319 and 321)?Between the 737's and the 'busses of that size, oh my :) Especially since we all know it would be just about the perfect F$ craft (even if it is the plastic jet ;) ).~Nate

I am posting once again to see if there is any fix for the following:Whenever I crash the PMDG -600 NG (which has now happened several times for reasons that are unknown to me, but seem to have something to do with going outside into SPOT view and panning around during cruise flight--beats me!), the flight does not re-set. The screen continues to display the stricken flight in its crash pose for an abnormally long 2 minutes; then the screen turns black and has only the FS9 blue strip at the top; finally, after 1 to 2 minutes of this blackness, I get a message advising me that FS9 has crashed and do I want to contact MS.Again, I have a factory standard DELL 8200 P4, 2.53 …

Yes, I also noticed that. There is quite a significant difference in alignment so it would be very nice if this was done :DAll the Best,Robin Bilgilhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg

I know the 744 is in Alpha Stage so I won't repeat others questions, but I do have some of my own.1. Will it feature the Compact Engine Display? If the Lower EICAS fails.2. Will it feature the "Alternate Mode Expanded Flap Position Indication"? In the event of an hyd fault etc.3. Since there wasn't any in-flight screen-shots, I assume the 744 will have Refrence Speed on the Speed Tape and Minimum Maneuvering Speed and Minimum Speed displayed on the PDF.4. Missing PFD Failure Flags. See Picturehttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/99143.jpg5. Will it have the "EXCESS DATA" on the ND?http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/pro.../Untitled-4.jpg6. On this Screen-shot we see All …

Please see the part of the wing in the circle... seems that that the part of the wing is bent 90 degrees downward ( same on the other wing )Sorry for the large size... i couldn't resizehttp://img107.exs.cx/img107/1895/Wing.jpg

Hi guys/girlsi'm new here but i've beeen reading the posts in this forum. i noticed in the new 747-400 screenshots (in particular the take off screenie) that the PMDG 747-400 dosent have bending wings. I understand the 737NG doesnt have this but that's understandable because you can barely notice wing flex in flight but the 747-400 has much larger wings....surely wing flex should be modelled! Also i noticed the rear body bogies tilt more than the real 747-400.....

Since the 800/900 upgrade, I find that the FMC doesn't switch form CRZ to DECENT mode on the panel. The decent is commanded at TOD, and flies the path fine, but the display continues to display CRZ.Is this something I mihgt be doing wrong?Gavinhttp://www.interprom.com/gavhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpgSpellink doesn't count!!

I know it's not usually a done thing these days by developers to give out release dates and such like, but it's been quite a while since I heard anything about the pending release of the 747, and a while since any new screenshots came out.I'm not asking for a fixed release date, just an update on where it's currently at with development, and maybe one or two new screen shots. From some of the talk in the forum, I'm assuming it hasn't even gone to the beta testers yet. Thanks for any info.-Phil

Hello everyone,I was just talking with some fellow simmers, and looking at the brand new screenshots for the 747. We were wondering, is the external model completed? In any of the pictures, i don't see the flaps extended at all....Is that just that during any of the external screenshots, the flaps wern't extended, or is it that the model isn't completed? Also, just out of curosity, will the 747 have flexing wings? I know these wern't part of the 737 model, but will it be part of the 744? Thanks!I know that you guys have a far way to go in completing the product, and it looks great so far! I especially must commend your work on the VC. Thanks for everything, PMDG!ProjectXW…

I have seen your work so far on the 747-400 (very nice). I was just wondering are you doing both the 747 and the MD-11 projects simultaneously. Or are you primerily focusing on the 747 and what is the status of the MD-11 at the moment (i.e. What is and isn't done?)Cheers and keep up the good work ;-)Denis Allen
