I seem to remember a problem with AS and the NG, is that still the case? I've heard nothing but great things about AS, and I want to pony up and try it, but only if it works perfectly with the NG. Can anybody clear this up?

Hello, maybe someone can help.I've been playing FS9 since it was published, I installed Traffic 2004, the PMDG 737NG 600-900 versions and FS2Crew lately. So far I never had any problems. Now, all of a sudden, I'm no longer able to operate the rudders, on the ground or in the air, neither by joystick axis nor by keyboard. When triggered, the rudder moves a bit to the desired direction but then flips back into center position, as if some "go-back-into-center-position-key had been pushed.I reset the keyboard assignment, I did a full re-install, including all patches (FS9.1, PMDG vers. 1.3, FSUIPC vers. 3.411, etc.) but the problem remains. The rudder problem only occurs with …

Hi,Before anyone blasts me, I'm only enquiring, as to date, I don't know why this hasn't been done:Are there any intentions to include an integrated weather radar, that is built into, and can be overlayed within, the PND? I know there are a couple of freeware/payware weather radars that I could add, but as yet no-one has gone a step further to integrate that into the PND. One company comes to mind immediately. This would make the best aircraft/systems add-on for FS the best ever. I hate bringing up said weather radar instead of viewing it as it should be - on the PND!!!!!!!!! I hope you'll seriously consider this, and ask. I think you know who I mean! I don't know if you …

G'Day all,After starting FS9 I select the usual PMDG 737-800 Qantas a/c then normally wait for 20-30 seconds whilst a dialog box informs me that "AIRAC Database Loading" with a progress bar that loads the Runways, Fixes, etc.Q Is this normal?Cheers Doug

Hi all,I'm experiencing some problems with the LNAV, the arcraft doesn't know where to fly to if I set up a hold or an offset. It just flies right, left and then back right etc... I've attached a picture where you can see that I created a hold just before TIGERwaypoint. The airaft doesn't follow the path he should do... When I set up an offset it's just the same problem...Can some solve my problem? Thanks in advancehttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/99844.jpg

Hi,I finally caved in and upgraded to FS9 (FS9.1 to be exact) from FS2002 and purchased the PMDG 737NG 600/700 (CD Version). No major complications on the installs and I've spent the last couple of days doing some tweaking as well as learning the ins and outs of the 737. The sim overall runs great, but there are a couple of questions I have that I can't find the answers to, and/or just need some advice.1) Views using the keypad - I want to lock the views in FS9 when using my keypad instead of it snapping back to the forward view like I did in FS2002. I can't find how to do this anywhere. Can someone tell me how?2) PMDG 737NG - I've read somewhere in the PMDG Support Forum…

It was only yesterday, while observing the effect of the stabilizer trim function that I came to realize that the entire horizontal stabliizer moves up and down(quite astonished me, it did)!! Until then, I had assumed that the purpose of the stab trim was to operate the trim tabs on the elevators to trim out control forces. Can someone explain why this former method is used in association with the more conventional trim tab method, please? And then, how DO you move the trim tabs on the elevators? On a somewhat related issue, I

Flying the Boeing 737 NG 600/700 with the autopilot the VNAV setting is disengaged by the program when flying at cruise altitude and cruisespeed although the FMC had been prepared thoroughly(i.e a good flight plan with a speed of 250 and a cruise altitude of 10000 feet). An announcement appears in the FMC display: unable CRZ alt, although the plane is actually flying at 10000 feet with speed 250.VNAV can not be engaged again.??!!Is the program (FMC within PMDG B 737 NG ) unstable?Am i doing something wrong?Wim J.Jongejan

Hello all,I do not own any PMDG products but am eagerly awaiting the 747 (and am shortly going to get the 737 me thinks). What I was wondering is this:I love doing long hauls, but don't like going to sleep halfway through or staying up real late - so I use the time acceleration feauture during cruise (under my constant supervision) most of the time. My question is to PMDG/any 737 users (though won't need it really with a 737!), does the 737 go okay with accelerated time? I don't know if anyone at PMDG knows or can say about time acceleration with the 747 though?Anyone, any answers are much appreciated. Thanks guys,Paul.

Hi all,Just wondering this....How does FS2004 control the panel brightness from day to night? As night approaches FS incrementally makes the daytime cockpit darker until it is unreadable. Is there any way to access or modify this FS parameter?Any help would be greatly appreciated ! :)Best regardsArmen at EGLLwww.veryquiet.com

I thought I had managed to arm VNAV along with LNAV on the ground prior to takeoff a couple of times. At this point, I can only arm LNAV on the ground now and I have to lift off and be in climbout to arm VNAV first and then activate it by switching on the AP. Should I be able to arm VNAV on the ground prior to the t/o roll?Jonathan

Sorry - thought the other one didnt work.

I actually had to autoland tonight, since I was on the phone! I decided just to autoland and see it work, as I always hand-fly finals. Now, when the plane was maybe 400 feet above the TDZE the ILS scales on the EFIS flashed yellow a few times. What was that indicating?Once below DH, the G/S basically fell off the radar, as I was under it's beam and very close to the runway. Normal as we all know, however, the "Glideslope" call-out still played a few times. Should it have? The autoland was perfect in every sense, so no problems, just curious.

If you visit the PMDG front page you will now find links to the new PMDG 747-400 product screenshots as well as photos from the Birmingham FS Show taken by Fai Han (you can also find those in the related thread below). Please note - The new screenshots are from an early alpha version so some inaccuracies exist, such as the missing flow lines on the fuel synoptic display. We are still working hard on fixing all the details.Enjoy!Oh, the links of course is www.precisionmanuals.com. But you should know that by now, right? ;)

I generally descend in VNAV PATH with a valid flightplan. So far, everything has gone pretty well on my familiarization flights. However, I note that once the descent has started, the annunciation in the thrust area of the PFD reads ARM on the way down, implying that I haven't selected a valid thrust mode. Why is this happening when I am in VNAV PATH--or is it a correct annunciation?Appreciate guidance, thanks.Jonathan

When you start up the engines 25% N2: At higher OAT temps the EGT sometime goes over 725 degrees C. This in the real thing would cause the engines to be shutdown due to the hot-start. Is this normal for the PMDG aircraft? if so what is max EGT temps? JaySSWA 1016http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/checkcapt.jpg
