Hello all.I wanted to know if someone is able to help me.When I launch the PMDG747-400's Load Manager, a message appears saying : "Could not detect a valid Microsoft Flight Simulator installation".I don't understand, because my FS2004 works very well.Thank you for helping.Thomas.

I Just noticed something tonight. My buddy and I both had the Cathay HONG KONG liveries with RR engines. Both had Full Pax and half cargo. He had 180000 lbs and i had 150,000 Fuel and he weighed about 100,000 less than me. That didnt make sense. I went to the load manager and checked the weights and it all seemed similar to him. So what I found out was whenever I use the load manager it seems to apply the right weights or at least they are similar to my buddies. But whenever you use the PMDG options in FS9 to change the fuel thats when the weights change and I end up being heavier than him. For example. I just looking right now at 747-400 with Full Pax, 56000 lbs cargo, 1…

Can somebody tell me how it is possible to select a derate climb thrust (such as CLB1 or CLB2) after takeoff when you're not using VNAV?What is the correct proceedure to accelerate after a GA? I hit TOGA just once so that the aircraft climbs at 2000fpm. But when I want to accelerate, how should you accomplish this. Using FL-CHG gives you a rediculously high rate of climb, due to the THR LIM being GA and using V/S means that the engines screem up to GA THR then retard and it looks messy??????

Hello,i use the load manager to load my aircraft. Most of the time that is the 747F and sometimes the 747 passenger version. But when i set the fuel it never loads that fuel into the aircraft. It always sets it to 88.000kgs. I push the save file and he says it is saved and used the next time but it never does.Can somebody help me....thanks

Hey all,When preparing for a flight today i went to open load manager, it didnt open and a dialogue box appeared saying "Could not detect a valid microsoft Flight simulator instilation". I have used the load manager recently with no problems, the only thing i have done since then is to install a FSX demo and uninstalling it ( My system just wasnt up to running it:-( ) Any ideas as to what has happened?Thanks in advance, and have a great Christmas!Dave

I have noticed that on some of my flights with the PMDG 747, after the landing rollout, when I try to exit the runway, the rudder is full over to the right. Would this have anything to do with when the Autopilot is disconnected? I might be disconnecting it a bit late. When is the appropriate time to disconnect the Autopilot?Fred

Hi there,When playing with the 744 yesterday, noticed a decrease in FPS around the aircraft. See here::Do you see the frame mate difference? It's just depends if i'm in spot view or in the V/C, the frame mates drop. My system hardware is more than enough for this game. Hi I already fly the 737ng and 800/900 upgrade and I am getting the 747-400 for Christmas in the CD version. From my reading the aircraft will have a lot more features and fixes if i also get the freighter version. My question is, are there any problems buying the download version of the freighter and applying it to the CD Version of the passenger aircraft?Seasons GreetingsTim Carter

I recently bought a new computer and used PS Mover to transfer all my files from my old computer to my new. For the most part, it worked well, and I was able to get all of my other payware aircraft to work. However, the PMDG 737 and 747 were giving me problems. I went to Control Panel to delete both of them, and only the 747 was in the list. So I tried to delete it from ControlPanel/Add/Remove programs. I got a message that says "The installed version of the application could not be determined. The application will now close" No matter what I tried, I could not get rid of the PMDG 747 in that manner. I then manually deleted all of the PMDG 737's, the 747's and the …

Hi,Im just wondering if any of you guys have the same problem as me?When i click on DEP/ARR at LLBG (Tel Aviv, Israel) i get "None" for runways AND SIDS/STARS. I cant select a runway or a sid/star as none are there! With Level D 767 and PSS aircraft it works perfectly, but with PMDG, i get a "None" message. I am using AIRAC 0612.I have tried upgrading and downgrading SID/STAR files but it didnt help.Thanks,Brandon

Hey gang. Apparently I've missed a switch somewhere. I can get the "gauges" to light using the "panel lights" switch in the overhead and I understand that the "dome light" is only available in the VC, which I don't use (please...no suggestions about "Track IR"! :(...I only fly 2D.). So how does one turn on the cockpit lighting, in the 2D environment, so that switches can be found at night? Please tell me there is more lighting for the panel at night! I can hardly tell what the switches are when entering the cockpit "cold". Vic

Hi all,I purchased the 737NG and the upgrade.I load a plane and the panel looks fine. I then go to the overhead panel to do stuff, then come back to the main cockpit panel and half my screen in black.I have removed both the fsuipc.txt file, and updated the fsuipc.dll in the modules directory. I also removed the fsuipc.ini file as well.What else can I do to get this package working?

hello,I understand the high gross weight configured 737-800 has a MGTOW of 174,000. This matches our 800 so I assume the PMDG 800 is the high gross weight configured airplane. The real such 800 has a range of about 2900 nm. How come I can't plan a flight with max fuel and under gross weight from KSEA to KEWR without the insuff. fuel warning on the FMC going off? Under "progress" on the FMC the arrival fuels at Newark (2100 nm) read zero. It seems the range is much less than 2900.I've tried it with less weight, less speed, econ, high low, Long range ...nothing will get me there. What am I missing?thanks, Doug Wornell, CFII

Nothing speacial before sound update arrived, it's smooth, very silky smooth.However, after I installed the sound update, the nightmare came. It's so lagging, and the performance dropped a lot during landing. It's hard for me to have a good manual landing (I can do it well before it, touch down at -200fpm).I can't believe it, with that sound update installed, it change my performance a lot. And I trust that that's not my computer's problem because I think Sound Update don't eat resource so much. And I think there should be something wrong in my configuration or bah bah bah......

This is the first time this has happened to me, and I've flown the 747-400 A LOT.Scenario: In KDEN, on VATSIM using SB3, FSUIPC 3.71, 747-400F P&W about 2/3 loaded, 65,000 lbs of fuel, for flight to KLAS. Total weight was calculated at about 660,000 lbs. Set cruise to FL380 (max was calculated to be FL383).Weather at KDEN was poor. About -6 degrees C, heavy fog, and gusty wind. Taxi out, and takeoff seemed relatively normal. Get up to about 15,000 feet and things start to go wonky! The plane starts have one #### of a time climbing. CLB trust is indicated on EICAS, and verified by the EPR setting. As I slowly, slowly climb, its clear that I will NEVER make it up to FL3…

The transition is nicely done.
