Sometimes when I am landing the 747-400,I got a violent pith up after spoiler deployment,but this is something that happens from time to time,not always but often in windy condition.One time it was actually balloning a few seconds after mainwheels contact.I then decided to go around.Then the trim was jammed in the full up position,and I was so near stalling.Is this a software problem,bad piloting or a very unforgiving aircraft?

Hi all,First for the games: I took off in Thule the other day, with a routing direct NPOLE (it's in the FMC database). All goes well until... N89 30.0 (about 30NM from the north pole). That's as close as FS2004 will let you get to the pole. From there on, it's flying circles! The FMC spewed two messages as well, the first one was something about IRS separation, the second one said IRS POSITION ONLY. Guess the GPS don't work up there.... (well, presumably the GPS position is taken from the FS2004 internal calculations, which mess up approaching the pole).I'd expect the same to happen at south pole so I didn't even try. Hello FolksI went out on a limb and tried to install the PMDG 737 into FSX using the guide published by PMDG to install the B1900. I completed the B1900 installation no problems.When I try to boot up the 737 2d panel I get a message that says that FSUIPC is needed. I copied the FSUIPC.dll in my FS2004 over into the modules folder in FSX but FSX does not recognize it. Is the Modules folder the correct place for FSUIPC in FSX?I continued the boot process and got the aircraft on the runway and the 2d panel is there but no gauges. I put all the 737 gauges in the FSX gauge folder.If FSX recognized FSUIPC will the gauges show on the 2d panel or is there much more involved than …

The LRC setting on the on VNAV cruise page never seems to produce a better fuel burn than the ECON setting. The fuel remaining figure always reduces from the ECON figure too. Why is this ?David MilesAirbus

During normal flight should the crossover valve be open or closed?

Recently I have experienced that, while in level flight, the autopilot disconnects and the joystick goes haywild, thrashing wildly up/down (not turning though). It has been behaving perfectly before, and I haven't changed any settings, but all of a sudden this phenomenon started.Anyone has an idea what has happened?

Hello,The wonderful PMDG 747-400 has arrived for christmas in the aerosoft boxed version. Can I buy and install the PMDG 747-400 F with the code inside the box ? I am not syre because the PMFG wed site says I need "orded ID" and password... I've done some sniffing around and haven't found this... what's the most northerly airport capable of landing, or taking off in, a fully loaded queen?

HELLOI was following an autoland just a short while ago... Everything went well, until the approach mode switched to VOR LOC mode, and the plane stopped following the glide slope. I needed to land the plane manually... Just a short while before landing, i had the "Approach VREF not verified" or something like that appearing on the FMC. I checked everything, and it didn't seem to me there was anything wrong.Does anybody know why i had this problem and what to do?thanksmat

OK I love this aircraft, and I love the realism, I admit it, but I just want to smash my screen when it comes to the autopilot. I managed to successfully get everything started etc (except for the FMC, which I still cannot understand how to use properly) and when I take off and activate the autopilot things seem to be going fine.Note: I am not using the FMC during this flight (and I have never used the FMC because I simple don't know how to execute a proper route) I am just using the basic autopilot and my GPS as an aid to navigation.But then at different situations, for example when I try a steep turn using the heading in the autopilot, it turns fine, but sometimes when …

Hi, I bought your 747 during the first week it was released. I have enjoyed it quite a bit, but I moved and also bought a new computer. I have recently installed fs9 on this new computer and moved all of my fs add ons, including your 747, over to the new computer. I also have your 737-600/700 and it works fine on this new computer, but when I try to use the 747, it cdt's immediatly. I have lost the original installer so I can't re-install. but I do have all the files from my first instillation. I read the license for the 747, and it says that I can move the softwere to a new computer as long as I no longer use it on the old computer, and that is exactlly what I am doing. …

A friend of mine has the PMDG 737-800/900 aircraft and uses FSNavigator (FSN) to generate flight plans. Under FSN, he creates his own plan and then uses an FSN add-on to export the plan for use with FS9. Looks easy, but it appears the the export feature uses a DLL that he downloaded from the FSN site.Reading a small number of topics listed within the forum, it appears that FSN will also export the PMDG 747-400 flight plans. I have the 737-600700 on my laptop which is running FS2002.My problem is that when I put a route into the fmc its says not in database.I put just the departure airport in and get a line error message.The FMCWP directory is in place under FS2002,so I have no idea what to do next any ideas? JeffG

It was reported here that a brand new 737NG for FSX was under development and would become available soon after FSX was released. From reading the update thread on the MD11 and 744, it sounds like FSX has created "special challenges" in programming to maintain good performance in the new version. Is the new 737NG being developed at the same time as the above mentioned? Would you expect a release date for this in the first half of 2007?

Hello!!First, I have to say that I love de PMDG 747!!!! But I'm also ashamed to say that I've used it iligally for about two weeks, but I had my reasons... To bad there isn't a demo version...I've now bought the 747-400 (+ the -400F)three weeks ago, so I have the V1.1R1 version now. Only, there are no shortcuts created on my desktop and in my start-menu, after installation. Hi there,This isn`t another one of those how do I fly the plane questions. I have been flying this bird now for about a year or so and have a problem. yesterday I took off and the auto pilot would not engage, no matter what I tried. It had been a while since my last flight in the 747 so went back to basics and followed Jared "smitty" Smiths getting started guide, which includes a cold and dark scenario complete with start up proceedures etc. I have uninstalled the plane and re-installed, no luck. I can hand fly the plane with no alarm bells etc but the a/p just will not engage. All necessary info is programmed into the fmc but I guess I am missing something.....HELP! (Bot…

Take off and climb to cruise altitude on my first flight in the PMDG Aloha Airlines B737-700 from SFO to Honolulu (I realize the B737 would probably never be used on such a flight in real life, but the B737 is my all time favorite heavy a/c and -700 variant has the range with a full fuel load so I figured why not a chance on taking a "swim" in the Pacific?!).I used FSNavigator v4.7 to fly the route using the "Fly Flightplan" option (being too lazy to bother to read how to program and use the FMC. I kinda understand what the honking is when you advance the throttles while on the ground. But has anyone had this problem:I setup for departure using normal procedures. As I get everything taken care of and have the airplane configured for take-off the honking will stop as expected. I take-off without the honking and fly to my destination. Land and taxi to the gate.As I am parked at the gate I setup for another departure (without leaving the sim or re-loading anything.) I follow the same procedures as above. Can anyone help. Running FS9 (and FSX) and recently added PMDG 747-400 Queen of Skies to FS9. Worked fine. Then tried to add PMDG 737NG Xmas present to FS9 and all went pear shaped. Despite uninstalling both PMDGs, can not start up FS9 now. I get error message - 'Aircraft initialisation failure 747-400 Lufthansa' - I press OK and FS9 quits. A search fails to find this Lufthansa file. Have tried reinstalling FS9 over the top but error message persists and FS9 quits. So currently - no PMDG 747, no PMDG 737, and no FS9.Gordie66.

I don't know what I did -- but something seems to have seriously rewired the autopilot/mcp.So I thought the easiest way to fix things -- was to completely re-install everything.
