Hello, I have had my PMDG 747-400 for a few weeks, and just recently has it started to say when I select the aircraft on FSX, "Cannot find PMDGOptions.DLL." I've tried uninstalling then reinstalling using my 747 disk, but with no success. Does anyone have an idea of how to fix this? Best Regards, Sean M.

http://www.courant.com/news/connecticut/hc-brainard-747-0502-20120501,0,5852024.story Not a flight sim post or anything related to PMDG.........I just wanted to spread the word to those that might care. In short, a 747SP will be doing some low passes (1000') at both East Hartford and Middletown Prat and Whitney campuses Tomorrow (5/2/12) with Pratts new Geared turbofan engines. While not designed for a 747, they will be flying them on P&W Canadas' 747 test bed. Im a machinist, and we make samples out of material that Pratt gives us for Metallurgical failure analysis for these very engines. Thats's all...........

Hi guys, Just a quick question. I'm Thinking of replacing the stock 'Fsx' ground textures with the 'FScene' product. Has anybody any experience with this product? And is there a significant difference in quality to justify the cost?. Cheers guys.

Hi guys, i was getting so many requests and questions about the 2 737' products that i was forced to make a movie. PMDG wins it easy, but the biggest difference between the 2 models are the engines/shape. PMDG is very round and the iFly is ( how do you say it in English.. ) Wich one is the correct one ? When i google around for real 736, this is the real shape, not to round.. is that a mistake from PMDG or just another ( rounder ) engine/type?

Hi Guys, Some of you may remember I was having problems with my PC. It was crashing out etc and generally fialing to run. Since I know nothing about the workings of a computer I took it into my tech support guys. The bad news is that my processor has been damaged by the overclock I had on it and needs to be replaced. So it looks like I'm getting almost a new machine and a wilting credit card. Thanks again for all your suggestions and help All the best David

Hi guys, I am using the 737Ngx and Rex textures. When I am flying over water the fps drops drastically (to 20 fps) compared to when am flying over land (60+) with low 2x setting! Does anyone have or had the same problem? If so, what can you suggest me? Settings: texture 1024, dx10 not in use, ******* tweaks. Thanks for your help!

Hi guys, i currently don't have a great computer and i feel that for my current needs in FSX i need a new pc, but i don't know how much i need to save and i'd like to have an idea before i talk to my dad ... So i'd like a computer wich would allow me to run simultaneously the NGX or the 777, demanding add on airports, a wheather engine with grafics like REX or AS, and fly on VATSIM with traffic, i'd be happy with constant 20 FPS... It would be fine to be a desktop since i know it is cheaper. If someone could give me an idea of a price in Euros i'd appreciate! Thanks

I was listening to Oakland Center on liveatc.net the other day and the controller started talking to a traffic helicopter pilot about what was happening since he was orbiting. He went on to explain there was a traffic fatality accident at which point the conversation went back and forth for a little while all in the middle of what seemed to be a really busy time in the sf/oak TCA... is that pretty much normal? I thought it was odd in such a busy zone with constant radio traffic...

Hey Everyone. As you can see in my signature, I have a fairly decent system. Now I know FSX will only use so much of this and all that, but I am having an issue with blurry textures when outside the aircraft (and sometimes in VC as well. I figured that with the system I had, I could at the very least have sharp textures. I've tried different tweaks including *******' tool. I also included my FSX.cfg so maybe someone could have a look at it to make some recommendations. Thanks in advance for the help. // This file was tweaked on Apr 28, 2012 at 18:21 GMT using Bojote's automated FSX Tweaking & Tuning Service // Your 'original' fsx.cfg file was backed up …

Hi Rob I just wanted to compliment you on your range of Boeing Products, I in real life was qualified on the Airbus fleet ( lovely a/c by the way) I have used your Boeing 744 for EICAS Training and handling prior to each Sim session, and it worked like a treat, on the day in the sim I knew in hand what secondary message would appear after a primary faliure. I have shown this software to a few guys and our training dept and they quite impressed with it, so I thought I would share that feedback with you. I am soon doing another conversion onto the B777 which I am really excited about at the end of this year to early next year, so I am sure the B777 product w…

Hey everyone, So I am looking to buy a new computer specifically for FSX and was looking to run activesky 2012, REX, orbx scenery and of course the PMDG products! I came across a company online named Falcon which makes high performance stock trading computers that look pretty decent for flight simulator as well. I am looking for opinions on if these PC's would run FSX smoothly with relatively high settings, or even better, if somebody has tried FSX with one of these computers! Here is the link to their computers: http://www.tradingcomputers.com/TCdesktop.html Any opinions would be greatly appreciated! Cheers, Tyler

I get a fatal error message when I open the menu in FSX. After initialization I tried to change views but no response. All my key assignments were gone. After re-asigning a couple key assignment I tried them with keyboard or saitek yoke, I get fatal error. I have no assignments and when I open to reasign I get fatal error after trying the assignments. I suspect its the FSUIPC program I just installed recently. This happen to anyone after this program was installed.

I've run into a couple of problems lately w/ NGX and PMDG products in general; and when attempting to use the reporting system I find I must have previously established a password back around 2004 or 2005 that I can no longer remember. The system is set up to send me an email to help re-establish a password and when I receive it the message cautions not to press the enclosed URL more than once or it locks out. This leads me to believe this should be a hot link.---It is not and I have requested the email at least 4 times with the same result. No amount of button pressing works, copy/paste does not work, and even a long laborious typing of the enclosed URL is not s…

Hi everyone,I'm making a scenery for FSX and I would like to know what scenery (airport) would you like to see in FSX? If you could choose one or two interesting airports to make for FSX from each continent that would be great! So far I'm thinking of making TNCM since it's a popular (maybe the most) airport and has a lot of 737s :(. Also I'm almost done with my freeware project RJBE and it will be available soon. Thanks for your replies.

Hi, I'm trying to uninstall both the PMDG 747-400 and the MD-11 but they will not uninstall. I'm running Windows 7. I've tried uninstalling them by going to the Control Panel and select the MD-11 to uninstall it. When I click on Uninstall, nothing happens. I've also tried to uninstall the MD-11 by running the exe program. I have version 1.2 installed. So, when I run the main exe program, it says that setup has detected version 1.2 and I need to uninstall it first. So I run the 1.2 Update but it doesn't allow me to uninstall it. I'm having the same porblem with the PMDG 747-400. What can I do to get them uninstalled? Ken.

This one is for the 747X and the NGX. I use to do a bunch of international flights with the 747 all the time mainly to Europe. However, I stopped because I don't have any idea on where to find charts and I have no idea on how to read European charts. I am used to the NACO charts from the USA because I use them when I do my real world flying. That being said, I would like to do more international flying and I would also really like to do European flights with the NGX. So my question is this; Where can I get charts and can someone explain how to read them?

Is it feasable? Would you have to know some secret proprietary stuff to make a livery manager for all products? Wouldn't that be a great idea? Point me in the right direction, I'll make it. hehe
