Hi guys, I am currently running a faulkty harddrive which is my FSX one, which is being replaced sometime in the near future, In the mean time I am getting slow loading textures, greyed out cockpits [for a few seconds] and airports loading slower, could this be down to the faulty harddrive reading the textures slowly or incorrectly? ENRO (Røros) is a relatively small regional airport serving the town of Roros in Sor-Trondelag, Norway. Runway length is 5,643ft and the runways are 14/32 with ILS RWY 32. LOC RWY 32 is 9 degree ofset making it an interesteting approach for pmdg 737-600. According to Stig Moen, the airport manager, the 9 degrees ofset is due to the local geography and preferred gently sloping GS due to the high altitude runway (2,054 ft).I would like to ask a question. How do pilots use an ofset LOC. I mean when do they line up with the runway? Before or after DA? When do they turn of the AP? I am trying to download all my products again. 747,MD11 and 600-900. Everytime I hit checkout it says my cart is empty when it is not. I filled out a ticket but it says it wont go through because I did not select YES-I have bought exte3nded download service because it wont let me buy it. Catch22 here I am hoping to get resolved.

ladies and gentlemen at pmdg it is time to produce a pmdg helicopter and it should be the bell 429 and after that sells like hotcakes the all new bell 525 relentless because the helicopters built for flightsim suck and don't preform like they are supposed too and the bell 206 is not even in production today

Hey guys, I posted a thread in the orbs forum a while ago and got no reply so I though this is the next best place as I think a good number of you would be using these sceneries. So what I would like to do is replace the runway and taxiway textures at YMML by FTX particularly because it can get shocking performance at times. I also have pretty nice REX textures for the runways and taxiways. I have a funny feeling that once I saw a install with default runways but I haven't actually found that setting again. Every now and then I feel the urge to make a suggestion just so that it goes ignored, or simply shot down right away, but hey Just kidding, but still, here it goes. Would be cool if we could assign a key stroke, or a button to the saved panel states in the FMC, or maybe have a control you can send the name of the saved panel state and it gets loaded. Right now it can be done in the NGX by programming the sequence of button presses you would do in the FMC to load a certain panel state, in a script, but if it's a simple thing to add, would be great to have it simplified in a single assignment

I try to strive for realism as much as i can and therefore when i do my flights in FSX i like to follow actual flights. I look up the flight info on flightaware and have my departure time match the real world counterpart, taking into account time zones. Yesterday i was doing AAL2348, from KDFW-KORD. I also like to use my liveatc app on my phone to give a little ambience to the flight. So i took off and checked on flightaware to see how the real flight was doing, and it took off only a minute behind me and was tracking nicely along mine. Ryan, I follwed your Nvidia inspector tutorial and I saw great improvements but I'm having a problem. When I'm running FSX the display looks like the exhaust of a jet engine. What could be the problem?

Can someone help me with a problem I am having? I have a FS9 PC with two monitors, when running FS9 with say the PMDG 747-400 aircraft I have always been able to move the sub panels like the FMC, overhead, radios, throttles, etc. to the other monitor and re-size them there, but all of a sudden, I can't do that and I have not done anything or made any changes to cause this. Any ideas as to what I need to check or do to be able to once again move them to the other monitor? I can drag things back and forth at the desk top level and in FS9 the cursser will go back and forth but nothing else?? Thanks Bob Galbraith

I was over reading on a.net about a rumor that Delta was thinking of picking up AirTran's 717s. I personally think this would be a great idea for Delta. If for nothing else, as much as I hate to say this (being a big NWA and DC-9 guy), to replace the aging fleet of NWA 9's, along with maybe some of the older MD-88s (maybe on less filled routes). I would love to see those 717's live a long life. Thoughts?*insert stir the pot emot here*PS: Maybe this will get PMDG to think about making the 717 haha

Looking for some overclocking advice. I built a new computer using a i7-2700k and a Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 motherboard with a Corsair H100 cooler. I have the 2700k overclocked at 4.5Ghz with Vcore of 1.38 and the multiplier at 45 with the base clock remaining at 100Mhz. It's stable, tested with Prime95 for 10 hours and counting. The highest the temperature of any core has gotten 76C, however it has generally been around 70C(measured with Coretemp). I'm not an overclocking expert, so I have some questions I was hoping I could get some help with: Does the base clock need to be raised or can I leave at 100Mhz? Do I need to change/increase any voltages other tha…

Simroutes isn't able to convert your plans to a .pln file so that you can import them into REX/ASE. It's an invaluable tool for me to get everything right, ASE and REX don't have all the way points in their databases. Don't know why it isn't working over there at the moment but is there anything like that out there?

I'm trying to configure a new machine with the main purpose being running FSX. There are a number of issues/trade-offs that I'm not sure how they will affect performance of FSX. Don't want to spend an extra $200 for an extra .3 FPS, but do want to really get the most FPS I can. Here is a list of the issues I am currently thinking about: 1. i7 2600k/2700k or 3820? Right now I'm planning on CyperPowerPC as vendor for my new machine, which means a 3820 processor (I would get the 3.6Ghz plus the "30% or more" over-clocking option). Hi guys, I just updated a lot of my system, and the things I expected to go with the new components, some still remain. I am on a GTX480 at the moment, and I am seeing texture grey outs when switching views etc etc. 1) Is there any problem with the 480 in terms of FSX, I have heard references, the odd rumour. I ask because looking on youtube at this video,, the engine fan blades spin faster than they do on my machine, and the graphics look sharper here. http://www.youtube.c...DEPpsBELc#t=85s Now, I hear the 580 is fantastic for FSX, but what about the GTX670? Hello, I have PMDG 737 NGX installed and use Dark&Cold Option loaded I don't why but I played with PMDG, everything's worked fine and till yesterday, battery switch doesn't start the battery anymore: nothing's worked when I press the battery switch, no AC, nothing, everything's remains OFF Do you have any idea what could append and how to fix it please ? I have just reinstalled FSX and running it on a dedicated SSD. This looks like the old highmemfix problem, I did alter a V sync setting in inspector while running FS, thats the only thing I can think of.. Thoughts?

So yesterday, I got the bright idea to reinstall all of my PMDG aircraft after my NGX file had somehow gotten corrupted. I have the Queen of the skies on a DVD (29.95 at Best Buy- Can't beat it!) so that was needless to say a very easy install. However, I discovered that my download link for the NGX had expired. So after looking on the support forums, I found out I had to buy another download link. Did that. Then realized I had to get a "redownload ticket" from the support site. I thought I had got the hang of this, but having gone through the procedure and checking it, the PMDG 737NG FMC still tells me that the airport is not in the database. Can anyone say what I am doing wrong please? I am trying to add Tuticorin VO1X... I have added the following lines to the wpnavapt.txt in the FMCWP/Navdata folder, putting the lines in latitude order, as usual.
