First, I want to make it clear that I'm not trying to compare manufacturers/developers/whatever here. I'm simply attempting to come to an understanding of if I'll be able to enjoy another product that's not from PMDG, but I expect it can come close. I've always had a thing for the 757, and since there isn't anything out there that's been hailed as PMDG quality (or similar), I've been looking into the QW version. The manual looks pretty good, as does the VC, but my issue is I haven't heard much about it. I don't need a failures model, but I need the systems to work properly. I need the gear handle to move to the off position. I need the FMC to work properly and…

I check the PMDG website everyday to make sure the 777 wasn't released while I was AFK or sleeping... So, today I went there and there seems to be a change. No longer is the NGX 600/700 the "spotlight" and finally SP1c has been uploaded. It looks really nice! :good:

Grrr...two days in row now, I've flown, landed, and taxied to the gate only to be hit. Day before I'm sitting at the gate shutting down the jet and suddenly the game stops and tells me I've crashed into an object. Apparently, the jet that was parked next to me taxied away from the gate and right into me. Today I can see this truck coming down the taxiway so I watch it, it's just driving straight minding it's own business when it suddenly does a right turn right into me. I want the realism of having active ground traffic but come on. Didn't the folks at Microsoft teach these things how to drive??? Mike

Last year I bought an aircraft here in the PMDG.I uninstalled by accident the aircraft from my computer, so I came to the site of PMDG to download it again, but under the download link had a message:this URL has expired.How can I download the aircraft again?

Hello, After purchasing the 737 NGX Base pack last week, I decided to buy the expansion pack as well. Logged in to my account, pressed 'start shopping' and went to the 600/700 icon. Then I was told that I could not add the expansion to my cart (strange enough I could add the 800/900 to the cart). This may have something to do with the litle box with the text 'you have three characters left' next to it, but I haven't a clue which characters that might be. Can someone please enlighten me as to what went wrong? Thanks. Kind regards, René

Hi all, I was hoping to get some clarification from the guys at PMDG as to why they have decided to discontinue the 2D panels in future releases? For those of us with poor machines (I use a MacBook Pro with integrated graphics!), 2D is a perfect way to fly. I have FSX locked at 30fps and it runs brilliantly. If I switch to the VC for the fuel cutoff levers at startup/shutdown, my FPS drops to a measly 14fps which is completely unacceptable (yes, I have lo-res everything turned on). I want to buy the 747-400X (+ the -8X) but I will not do this now that I know 747x V2 is coming. You've already explained that it will be completely new based on the NGX engine (gre…

I have the latest cycle from navigraph but at the airport the FMC doesn't recognize the airport ZPMS. I was wondering if anyone may know where to get the text file of this. Thanks Chris Porter

Hello, As I'm considering the purchase of the PMDG B737NGX, I've been trying to log in at their site. My e-mail address apparently exists in the PMDG store database, but I have forgotten my password. After going through the motions I was told that a new password was being sent to me. However, subsequently nothing happened. Made another attempt a day later, same result, no e-mail. Does anyone have an idea what can be done to make PMDG aware of this frustrating situation? The only other way to contact them seems to be via a ticket, but that's only possible if you're logged in, i.e. impossible. Thanks, René

I received this week my new computer with an I7 3770K, 8GB RAM and a NVidia GTX 680 2GB, Windows 7 64. As my first acquisition I bought the PMDG 737NGX from Aerosoft and after a lengthy three-day setup process started flights in four different locations with the NGX and failed to complete one single flight due to graphic problems. I made sure that all Ryan's recommendations pinned on this forum were implemented on the Nvidia Inspector, but each time, I ended up after a while with a flickering black and white screen or at best with a ghost airplane with a few visible parts. Hi everyone. Just wanting to know whether anyone here has used the fsx install guide below and if so have you found it worth while. Im considering doing it, but its going to take a bloody long time to do. I use ORBX scenery within nz and australia usually. Canberra, im getting early to mid teens fps wise which is a little annoying to fly in with the NGX. Hi ladies and gents, Just a quick question I wanted to ask. The NGX fmc allows you to set arrival procedures into most airports and runways. In the real world, are these used alot? I was under the assumption that ATC would direct the pilot with speed, altitude and direction to line up with runway, in essence, removing the need for these pre assigned arrival procedures. Any comments on this will be most appreciated. Just curious is all. :)

I have excellent scenery for the UK, France, Germany, Luxembourg, and Spain a couple of the Greek Islands and Athens. They are by Aerosoft, Fly Tampa, UK2000 but I am lacking a destination in Italy. Can anyone recommend good scenery suitable for the Queen of the Skies or the NGX? I am considering adding the MD11, I had it for FS 2004 and enjoyed its looks and systems, but may just wait for the B777. I had Italy for FS before FS2004 but have Googled it and cant find an FSX version. I am also interested in NL2000 V4, I was able to buy that on disk for FS2004 but can't find it available on disk for FSX. I am weary of Bit Torrent and my download speed isn't up to it! A…

Hi guys, Now I will give you my left leg in the post to anyone who has posted this question before, and it is a very niche question so I almost don't expect a response. [still hoping though]. Basically I am a musician, and I am going to be purchasing some monitor speakers [basically the very large speakers you see in recording studios]. Would FSX sound good through these, or, because normal speakers colour the sound, they will not actually sound good at all. Question 2) Does any body use guitar/mic processors [uSB/MIDI Interfaces] with their desktops? Will running the sound through that sound better than your standard sound card! Cheers …

Yes, there are a few Cessna Citations out there, some King Airs and maybe a few freeware things...but still the desire for Gulfstreams, Globals, Challengers and Falcons has been left unsatisfied. it would be nice to see the last and final production dc3 done by PMDG the plane first flu for the first time on June 16 1947 and it was a dc3s super dc3 production number 10,653 i believe. the reason i pick this aircraft is because it is the last on an era. it has never been done before for flightsim fsx.

Very good video of Etihad....obviously the pilot decided he was not stable enough or comfortable enough...kudos for this, he took the safe approach and decided to try again... Plus United, try number one: [media=] he made a subsequent attemtp which he also aborted.

I purchased the MD-11 when it first came out a few years ago, and it since that time i had some time away from FS and had to reformat my PC and i did so without backing up any of my FS files. My question is, can i still purchase the extended download service now to re-install the MD-11? or is it something you have to buy when you first get the aircraft? thanks Adam Kaleniak

Just thought I would give you guys a heads up about a company that build custom throttles for the A3xx and 737/777 The screenshots are quite plain but these are the basic models http://fsthrottles.com/Products.html I have been liaising with an extremely helpful guy called Ricardo who has been building my A320 thrust levers at FSthrottles. You can customize the throttles as much as you want within your budget, for example I chose to pay a little extra for additional switches and thrust range markings to closely match the real thing.
