In downloading the latest Navigraph set for the NGX the old FADN airport(including stars etc) have now been replaced by the new airport FALE. Does anyone know whether it is possible to add "new" airports to FSX and if so how would that be accomplished? all the best Mel

Hello all! So I'll often hear "don't over take the traffic" for aircrafton parallel landings. Particularily prominent at SFO. Anyways, Im wondering what are the details of this instruction. Is it usually a larger aircraft that is not allowed to pass a smaller, or the reverse? Perhaps to avoid a larger aircraft's wake turbulence? Also, two times in a row (while listening to LiveATC) I've heard "you may over take the traffic" why would the instruction change? In one these instances the aircraft asked why the other guy was allowed to pass to which the controllwer said because he is a 757. Any insight would be appreciated.

Hey Guys and Gals. Really looking to the PMDG community for some help as I know PMDG users are some of most knowledgable people on fsx and its inner workings. I have just bought a new rig (specs in signature) and I am really struggling to get fsx to run nice and smooth with decent graphics, as I know this machine is capable of. In no way do I expect it to run everything maxed out and 30+ FPS, but I do feel I could get alot out of it with the right settings and configurations. I was hoping someone could help me out, I am willing to do a fresh install of fsx and my addons (which are 95% aircraft, not a lot of addon scenery other than GEX and UTX) and start from scratch,…

hey .. im having trouble downloading liveries on PMDG web site.. is that server down? i cant download 737, 747, MD11, it just states *This file couldnt be downloaded* ... i never had problems before.. is there a firewall blockage or something in that nature? if you got any ideas please let me know .. Hi, I just re-read the product plans and lineup and see so many things to get excited about. I've recently proposed that PMDG is quite peerless in the FSX add-on market and is accordingly in the unique position of being the only provider of aircraft for the "discerning" consumer. I say this to preface the following question: why not past of regional airliners, or any future plans for this segment? At first, my addons are the GEX Europe, PILOT'S Ultimate Europe and Aerosoft Mega Airports series of Zürich and Athens airports, plus the PMDG MD-11. After taking off from Zürich I saw some blue tiles or squares on the land part.There are times that I get those tiles not on the land but on the water! There are also times with no tiles at all and everything works perfect. What causes these tiles to appear? Hey folks, I have what I hope is a discussion starting question for everyone. We the most realistic 737 home simulator possible thanks to PMDG, but it is still on a screen. No matter the realism, we still have to click the mouse to flip switches, and most of us sit in an office chair while doing this. What does everyone else do to make their sim feel more real while flying?

Hi, I would like to see the current frame rates so I can check if I've improved my setup. Normally I would just press ctrl+z but that seems to have been set to something else. How do I create a new hot key for FPS? I can see there is a standard.xml file in fsx\Controls and it contains sections for each key assignment, but I do not know the tag to use for FPS. eg:- tag for key CTRL+Z is AP_ALT_HOLD

Fellas,I started experiencing black screen while running FSX. Screen goes black while in flight, and i noticed that it happens when i start other apps with "admin priveleges" on win7 x64. I though maybe GSX was to blame since it start happening right after I installed it, but the answer i got is negative. Here are the pics also. Any ideas?Thank you.

He guys, This is more a question to Ryan regarding his post in Word Not Allowed's HW and SW guide over in the hardware forum. I have been playing round with the RT in flight seem and seemed to get a nice setting at around 100,000. That was at 4.5GHz. Now I am at 4.7GHz again and upgraded the RAM to 1866 8GB CL9. Now that I am up at around 4.7 I have had to raise the RT to around 195,000 and there are still many artefacts. Do I just have to keep raising it or is there something I am missing. Also it seems to get worse the more I use it. For example when I first used it with RT at 180,000 it seemed fine, a bit more use and it was shocking. I would like to think I have a…

I know theres lots of conjecture however can we pls get an official word on whats happening with this? I'm not expecting a release date but given it was introduced a while ago and I think briefly mentioned in RSR's presentation (I didn't watch it fully so don't know), it would be great to know what PMDG's view on this is ie. is it still in production or has it been shelved to make way for the 777 and 747v2? I for one am more interested in the Dash8 than I am in the 777 or 747v2 (I like short hops), although I will buy these when released. Ryan/Rob/Vin??????

Hi guys, Like the title says, everytime I try to load a flightplan - either a coroute or origin/destination - my FSX freezes and subsequently crashes. Happens to all PMDG aircraft. I tried system restore to a day when it was working just fine but no go. Any ideas? Thanks
